Chapter 1965
Chapter 1965
Being obsessed with looks and crushes is a killer, man.
Hertha bit her tongue, reminding herself that this was just the price she had to pay for her youthful follies.
"Alright then, I'm a quick driver," Hertha informed with a brief nod before starting the car and accelerating away. "Whoa!" Alaric was jolted by the sudden movement, hastily grabbing the seatbelt as he let out a sound of surprise.
"Hertha, it's a real shame you're not a race car driver," Alaric teased her.
"What's it to you whether I become a race car driver or not!" Hertha was full of complaints and didn't want to engage in a proper conversation with him.
"I was just joking, why so serious?" Alaric chuckled mischievously.
"Alaric, spit it out, what do you really want?" Hertha questioned him while she drove.
She was done beating around the bush with him.
He was clearly there with a purpose today, yet all he did was joke around without getting to the point.
"I'm here to propose marriage, what do you say?" Alaric turned to look at Hertha's profile, a playful smile on his lips, but his eyes were intense and serious.
A lot of true feelings are often expressed in jest.
"Marry your foot! Alaric, have you lost your mind? Forgot what I told you before?" Hertha couldn't help but curse.
Just hearing Alaric mention marriage made her heart race, filling her with a bizarre urge to lash out.
She couldn't tell if it was out of sheer rejection or curiosity to see what a marriage certificate looked like.
"What you told me, I really don't remember," Alaric winked at Hertha, playing dumb.
Just then, Hertha turned her head and caught Alaric winking at her, those fox-like eyes attempting to charm.
He was handsome enough without trying, his smile naturally captivating. But now, he was deliberately trying to electrify her!
Hertha's heart instantly raced at a hundred and eighty miles per hour, flustered and tingling with a shocking sensation.
Which made her foot press down harder on the gas pedal!
The car suddenly shot forward.
"Hertha, brake!" Alaric gripped the seatbelt tighter, shouting in alarm.
But it was too late, the car surged forward and crashed into the rear of the car in front.
"Ah!" Hertha was petrified, her other

Hertha breathed rapidly, clutching the steering wheel tightly.
The driver's door of the car in front opened, and the driver, a burly man, stormed over to Hertha's side, banging on the window, furiously demanding, "Get out! How the Kell do you drive? You nearly knocked my soul out of me! Get out, now!" Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
The guy was huge and intimidating.
It was clearly Hertha's fault. She turned to Alaric, panic-stricken, "What do we do, what do we do? If I go out, is he going to tear me limb from limb?"
Alaric stroked his chin,
contemplating her with a thoughtful
look, "Hmm, it's very likely,
considering you just wrecked his

"What do we do then?" Hertha panicked.
