Chapter 149
"Mr. Gulliford, you've misunderstood. Why would I mind? This has nothing to do with me anyway."
Jessica lowered her head to eat. Her words sounded rather deceiving.
"I know. I just wanted to let you know, though."Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
Trevor lowered his head and ate his steak as well, discreetly letting out a sigh.
He knew that she didn't care, but he still wanted her to know.
After the duo ate, they headed to the airport to take the private jet back to Herington.
On the plane, Jessica kept deliberately avoiding Trevor, sitting in the backmost seat while sorting out documents.
She was incredibly troubled. What made her most helpless was that the woman's appearance had actually changed her mood. "Are you feeling unwell?"
Trevor was baffled, intentionally getting up to walk to her.
"What's wrong with my woman? She seems to be avoiding me on purpose?" he pondered.
"No, no. I just want to sort out these documents in peace."
She shook her head, inhaled a deep breath, and pretended to be nonchalant.
"All right."
He no longer said anything else and sat right next to her.
Jessica continued to flip through the document in her hands. Sensing the quietness in the air, she began flipping through quicker as though silently interpreting her uneasiness. "Do you like listening to sketch comedy?" he asked tentatively out of the blue.
"It's all right."
She nodded, wanting to ease the awkwardness.
Hearing that, he smiled and clapped.
In an instant, two people dressed in coats appeared in the cabin.
Jessica was slightly stupefied by this scene. She recognized these two people. They were two of the most popular comedians lately.
"Wow. Isn't Mr. Gulliford living too good a life?" she mused.
What she didn't know was that Trevor had intentionally searched for what to do if one's wife was mad on his phone earlier.
The answer was to take her to listen to sketch comedy.
With that, Trevor thought it would be somewhat inappropriate to get tickets to a sketch with his identity, so he felt it was best to invite the comedians over to perform solely for him and his wife.
The two comedians did their best to perform. After all, the person before them was Horington's Trevor Gulliford. If they didn't serve the man well, they would likely lose their jobs from then on.

Jessica leaned against her seat and wanted to laugh. It was not because of the comedy but Trevor's aptitude instead.
He was indeed someone who knew to enjoy life to be able to invite comedians on a private jet.
As expected of the two famous comedians, they managed to make her laugh effortlessly with a few mere sentences.
Seeing that, Trevor, too, displayed a smile.
Sure enough, advice from the internet was trustworthy.
When the plane landed, the two comedians were still not done with their performance. Instead of alighting, Trevor waited for them to finish for the sake of his woman's joy.
Jessica alighted from the plane and returned to her office. Whenever she thought about the comedians' jokes, she would still chuckle uncontrollably.
That laugh was so attractive in Trevor's eyes, practically making her look like an angel.
Hence, a certain man began planning something else
again.
Not long after, the two comedians came to the office, causing a slight uproar among the employees. "Oh my gosh! Aren't they the two most popular celebrities lately?" were their thoughts. Upon seeing them entering her office, Jessica was stunned as well.
Even if Trevor likes them that much, does he have to listen to them endlessly? Doesn't he have to work? she pondered.
She had no idea what that man was
thinking. However, she was unable to tolerate hearing two
performances from the duo in such a short time. Therefore, she swiftly found an excuse to flee her office.
