Salute To The General

Chapter 2603

That day, Nathan and Penny stealthily made their way toward Brimmopolis with Cross Group's team of cancer medication researchers.

It was already afternoon by the time they arrived at Brimmopolis.

After arranging for the researchers to stay at the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor, Nathan and Penny quickly headed over to the White House.

It wasn't long before Nathan saw Garrett lying in bed with his pajamas on.

His guards were right by his side and cautiously feeding him his medicine.

Garrett, who was feeling lethargic at the time, got a little better when he saw Nathan come in.

"Nathan? When did you return to Brimmopolis? Why didn't anyone tell me about this in advance?" he exclaimed in surprise.

Garrett was about to push his guards aside and get off the bed, but Nathan quickly stepped forward to stop him.

Nathan then took the medicine over from the guards and sat down beside the bed. "I came rushing over as soon as I heard you weren't feeling well, Garrett. You shouldn't be getting out of bed until you're all better. Here, I'll feed you your medicine."

Garrett waved at him. “I don't like this herbal medicine from the royal physicians. It's too bitter, and besides... They call it traditional conservative treatment, which just means there's no cure for what I have."

"What are you saying, Garrett? Not only do your wife and children need you, but so does all of Eurasia!" Nathan exclaimed.

Despite Garrett's calm demeanor, there was a hint of sadness deep within his eyes when he sighed.

"Look at me, Nathan. I've been just fine up until now. I thought I was just having a little backache due to prolonged sitting, so I had the royal physicians give me an examination. Who would've thought I'd end up being diagnosed with cancer? Fate sure loves toying with people, huh?"

The family members and guards in the area looked away and wiped their tears upon hearing that.

"Don't give up just yet, Garrett. With how advanced technology is these days, I'm sure there's still hope for you! Eurasia has become the leading country in treating cancer, and I've brought my team of cancer drug researchers from Cross Group into Brimmopolis. They've been working on developing drugs to treat a huge variety of cancers, including kidney cancer! This drug isn't scheduled for release just yet, but I can let you try it out if you want to. I believe it has a high chance of treating your cancer!"

"I'm actually not afraid of death. I just didn't think I'd have to face it so soon, that's all. I don't want to leave my wife and daughter yet, and I still have alot of work to get done. 'd feel guilty toward my family and my people if I were to die now, Garrett replied.

The melancholy in his tone was affecting Nathan and Penny as well.

Garrett's wife and daughter, too, burst out crying on the spot.

"Hey, what are you two crying about? Where are your manners?" Garrett scolded them in displeasure.

"Don't give up yet, Garrett. We do have a chance at treating cancer now," Nathan said.

Penny chimed in as well, "That'sC0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

right! Our company has started developing drugs to treat other types of cancer after our success with the special meds for liver cancer. As of now, we have a sixty percent success rate at treating kidney cancer in our laboratory tests! Therefore, there is still hope for you, President Woods! Please do not give up!"

Garrett knew full well that Cross

Group was the best when it came to treating cancer, so hearing their words restored some of his faith.

“All right, then. If you say so, then I'll give Cross Group's medication a shot! Let's see if I can be a part of that sixty percent!" he said with a smile.

Seeing as Garrett had agreed to receive their treatment, Nathan instructed Colin to bring the

researchers over to the White House. They would then work

el

together with the royal physicians to devise a treatment plan and carry it out together.

After having a brief exchange with Nathan and Penny, Garrett told the others around him, "You guys, step outside for a bit. I need to have a private conversation with Chief Cross."

"Yes, sir!"

The guards and the family members then stepped out of the room.

Penny, Ava, and Colin, too, followed

them outside.
