Most people would call me insane because I decided to still be very well invested in my dad’s business. The bloggers had said that since I had married a prince charming for real I should stay home and take care of the children. They were only right about one thing. Noah was truly a prince charming and there was no argument about that.

Although I was barely invested at this point because Noah was always on my case, I still loved it. My parents had awarded me the trust fund as promised and that enabled me to build the school for the girls as I had always wanted.

Going to the office at this time was a no for Noah but he knew that I would be on his neck to ensure that I got what it was that I wanted so he decided to drive me to the hospital.

To be honest, after giving birth to Lisa I had sworn that I would never allow Noah to touch me again but that particular plan did not work because I was head over heels in love with him and he had insisted on having more than one child.

I rub my protruding belly in annoyance as I yawn.

“Are you tired?”

“Of course I am tired. I am hoping this baby would pop out of me any day now” I tell him and he chuckles lightly.

“I am sure your reaction would be full of joy when you see the baby,” he tells me and I sigh.

“Easy for you to say since you aren’t the one carrying the baby to term, being bored by yourself all day in the house” I snap at him.

The car goes silent. I wonder why I just snapped at him. Truly I felt like this pregnancy was taking much more time than necessary and I hated that.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

“I am sorry” I murmur after a few seconds.

“Baby hormones?” he asked and I nodded.

“But I should not allow the tiny creature to take over my head” I sigh and he laughs.

“I don’t mind. I find it sexy when you snap at me. Maybe you could do that again when we are trying for baby number three” he says and throws a wink my way.

“There is no way that there is anything like a baby number three” I reply with gritted teeth and he hollers annoyingly.

“Noah please stop these teases. I might push to have you have a procedure to ensure I never get pregnant again” I tell him and the horror on his face is so funny I wish I had taken a picture.

“When are we getting home?” I ask with a yawn followed by a sigh.

“In the next ten minutes,” he said turning to me. The look on my face makes him turn his head back to the road. “The map says ten minutes but I am sure that with my excellent driving skills, I will be able to get us there in five minutes”

I laugh at him and he returns with a smile. “We will soon be home” he adds and I close my eyes nodding.

Suddenly I feel a pool of liquid steaming down my feet. I knew that a part of me was rejoicing while a part of me felt afraid. I was about to bring new life to this world my mother did not feel fear at this point.

“Noah,” I say as slowly as I can. It was urgent but I did not want to scare him. He had been through this before but so have I and I do not feel confident about the situation.

“Yeah?” he replies. I can see him trying his best to struggle between looking at me by his side and keeping his eyes on the road.

“We need to go to the hospital, “I tell him. I know there could have been a better way to say it but that was the best my baby brain could come up with at that moment.

“What is wrong? Are you okay? Do you feel pain anywhere?” he asked. I could see the fear in his eyes as he glanced at me.

I wanted to try and stay calm but between what I was feeling and his eyes I knew it was impossible.

“My water broke”

I see the instant panic mode in his eyes. I close my eyes and I hear some words. It seemed like he was on the phone.

“Noah be fast” I scream.

I did not want to scream but I did.

I see him park into the driveway and they help me into the hospital labor room. For me, the spent in the delivery room was longer than days.

When I heard the sound of the baby’s cry and the proclamation of the doctor saying it was a boy who was healthy and safe I had no choice but to give into Noah’s suggestion to name our baby so when the doctor asked what we wanted to call him I did not hesitate to say the name Edward Lynch Lorraine-Mirchoff.

I smiled as Noah held the baby close to me. This was my baby, our baby and at that point even though I had said I was uninterested in having any babies again I knew that I would have a million if it meant spending the rest of my days with Noah and his offspring.

“You have done well,” he said as the nurse took the baby from him.

He pressed down my hair which was all over the place. I smile at him and nod. “So have you” I whisper.

“I have done nothing” he whispered back.

I closed my eyes because I felt so tired and I wanted to rest. “I want to sleep” I whisper and he laughs and pets my hair.

“Of course you do,” he said and then I felt him give me a forehead kiss.

The last thing I heard as I drifted to dreamland was “I will be right here when you wake up”
