Zane supported Yanis, making sure she didn't roll off the bed. "We're not going today. Uncle Dylan is
here."
Yanis responded with a hum as she lay on Zane's leg for a while before sitting up. "I need to go to the
store today. Sandy called last night and asked me to pick some jewelry and dresses for her."
"I'll go with you."
Yanis didn't refuse. After a simple wash-up, she followed Zane downstairs.
They had breakfast together before heading to the store.
Upon arriving at the store, Bonnie had just arrived as well. She was standing by the car, talking on the Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
phone. When she saw Yanis and Zane, she ended the call and walked over. "Why are you guys here?"
"Sandy wants some jewelry and dresses," Yanis explained.
Bonnie nodded. "She called me yesterday, but I was busy and didn't get a chance to call her back. I
was planning to call her later."
"She said she couldn't reach you last night, so she called me instead."
"Perfect timing. Let's go inside. I'll show her some new designs through a video call. Linda can display
a few sets for her to see," Bonnie suggested.
Yanis agreed, and they all entered the store together.
Zane initially thought about going upstairs, but he noticed someone standing not too far away. Seeing
her, his brows furrowed, and he watched for a few seconds before turning to Yanis. He softly called her
name as he gestured towards Lisa, who was standing nearby.
Yanis followed Zane's gaze and saw Lisa. "How did she find her way here?"
Zane shrugged. "You go inside first."
Yanis nodded and stepped out to join Bonnie.
Zane went over to Lisa. Seeing him approach, Lisa appeared somewhat uneasy. She started
explaining, "I didn't mean to follow you here. I just..."
"I can't do what you're asking for, Jo. Either you take care of it yourself, leave him with the Lawrence
family, or over at the Lawrence's Mansion," Zane interrupted Lisa, his tone firm.
Jo was Dylan's son, and it was neither reasonable nor appropriate for him to stay by Dylan's side.
Lisa looked at Zane, then lowered her gaze. "Alright, I understand. I'm sorry for bothering you."
After Lisa left, Zane took out his phone and texted Albi to keep an eye on her. With that done, he
returned to the store.
Inside the store, Yanis and Bonnie were busy selecting jewelry and dresses.
Zane chose not to disturb them and took a seat nearby.
After Yanis and Bonnie had finished selecting items, Yanis made a video call to Sandy and showcased
the options.
The morning quickly passed by.
"Let's grab some lunch nearby. My treat," Bonnie suggested after ending the call with Sandy. She
turned to Yanis. "What would you like?"
Yanis glanced at someone standing by the doorway, answering, "I want some hot and sour fish."
"Can't you get that at home?" Bonnie teased.
"He's created a whole recipe book-clearly stating what's allowed and what's not. It's crystal clear," Yanis
replied, making a face.
Bonnie chuckled. She felt that Zane was indeed quite protective.
"Indulge him a bit. Doesn't it make you feel sorry for him when you see how concerned he is?" Bonnie
commented.
Yanis looked at Bonnie and playfully poked her forehead. "You're hopeless!"
Bonnie laughed and responded, "Alright, I'm hopeless. So, Mrs. Lawrence, will you spare me this
time?"
"Forget it!" Yanis said before walking towards Zane.
Bonnie watched Yanis leave and couldn't help but smile.
How could she not understand Yanis's thoughts?
Yanis was worried about handling Mles on her own and about not taking care of herself, leading to
unhappy days. That's why she kept pushing Lane in front of Yanis.
Her intention was simply to have this incredibly caring and good man take care of her.
She knew all of this.
However, if she didn't love him, how could they possibly get along so harmoniously?
Moreover, her heart was completely occupied by him, with no room for anyone else. How could anyone
else find a way in?
