A new spirit

Jessica just finished eating with her family this morning. There was Kim’s grandfather in the main seat, and her two brothers were sitting on the left side of her grandfather. She was on his grandfather’s right.

“What about the construction of urban parks? Can the project get back into our hands?” Fredy Kim asked David who was struggling to get the project back.

“How are you, Beryl?” Jessica reached out to shake her friend’s hand.

“Good news, How are you?” Beryl shook Jessica’s hand and stared into her face. It was clear that the woman was unhappy, her eyes were a little red and like a lack of sleep.

“Did you go to college well?” Jessica deliberately asked because she didn’t want Beryl to continue to observe her face.

“Of course,” said Beryl briefly.

“Yes, as you can see I am happy here because this is indeed my goal and the dream of my adoptive parents.” Beryl could feel Jessica’s sadness, clearly painted in her eyes and her restrained smile.

“Can I ask you a question about Lexi?” it’s doubtful Beryl would say, but he’s really curious what’s going on with Jessica and Lexi’s marriage.
