“Did you say Mellisa is alive?” He asked again to be sure and she nodded.

“She’s lying to you Brandon, we all know Mellisa is not alive,” Jessica said and Lisa shot her a deadly glare and then turned to Brandon.

“I wouldn’t lie to you about my daughter Brandon. Our daughter, I can’t do that, she’s alive Brandon and I’m telling the truth” she said and Lucas scoffed.

“Take her out,” Lucas says to the security.

“No one would touch her,” Brandon said and the security men froze at once and moved back.

Jessica stared at Brandon speechlessly.

Lisa stared at Lucas and then at the security before moving closer to Brandon.

“Ask them to bring my clothes in,” she said calmly.

“No, you tell me where Mellisa is or I will be the one to throw you out myself,” he said with no emotion in his eyes and she let out a sigh and nodded.

“When Mellisa was kidnapped, I found out who kidnapped her and they demanded a ransom. I paid for the ransom and asked them to tell you she was dead because I found out someone in this house wanted Mellisa dead.

I needed to protect her so I had everyone believe she was dead so I could keep her safe” She paused and Brandon raised his eyebrows looking confused, wondering who wanted Mellisa dead.

“And who wanted her dead in this family?” Hannah asked as she stepped forward.

“Elizabeth Colby. She hated me, she never liked me and had tried every possible means to get rid of me. She was the one who orchestrated the plan to kidnap Mellisa and kill her” Lisa said and Hannah let out a sigh.

She wasn’t surprised. She knew Elizabeth. She was a devil, she tried killing her once but still, she didn’t believe Lisa.

“And where is the Mellisa now?” Hannah asked.

“She’s in a safe place, I can’t bring her out. What if someone tries to kill her again” she said staring at Hannah and Hannah rolled her eyes.

“She’s the only reason you would stay in this house, bring her to me, I need to see my daughter,” Brandon said Lisa paused for some seconds and then nodded before walking out of the house.

“Are you kidding me? What if she hires someone to act as Mellisa? You don’t know what this woman is capable of, she would do anything just to be by your side. She’s lying to you” Jessica yelled looking furious.

“I would know my daughter when I see her, Jessica” Brandon said and Jessica stared at him angrily before walking away.

Lucas on the other hand stared at Brandon angrily and also walked away.

Hannah on the other hand glared at Brandon before walking upstairs to her room. The moment she got upstairs she met Arianna by the stair rails.

“Mom” she called and Arianna turned to her.

“What are you doing here?” She asked and Arianna sighed.

“I have been watching the whole drama downstairs, ” Arianna said and Hannah chuckled.

“Oh, you saw everything ” Hannah responded and let out a sigh.

“She’s saying the truth,” Arianna said and Hannah raised her eyebrows wondering what truth.

“Truth? Does it mean Mellisa is alive?” She asked.

“No, not that. I don’t know if she’s alive or not but she’s telling the truth about Elizabeth. She was the one who’s behind the kidnapping of Mellisa” Arianna said.

“I’m not surprised, she tried to kill me once,” she said and then sighed while they both watched Brandon who was speaking to the security men downstairs.

“Do you think she’s alive?” Hannah asked.

“I don’t know but the last time I investigated her, she was dead,” Arianna said and just then she heard her phone ring.

It was a call from Micheal Adams.

“I would answer this,” she said to Hannah before walking away.

Hannah sighed as she watched Brandon from downstairs speaking to the security and then moved away from them, and started climbing the stairs.

She quickly walked away from the stairs rails and walked to her room.

The moment she got to her room, she sat on the bed with lots of thoughts going through her mind. She wondered if Mellisa was still alive or if She was lying.

Just then the door opened revealing Brandon.

“Hey,” Brandon muttered as he walked inside the room and closed the door behind him. Hannah stared at him and looked away.

“What was she like? Mellisa?” Hannah asked.

“She was pretty, she was the most adorable baby ever. She had baby blue eyes and blonde hair. She was so adorable. I don’t know what she looks like now, it’s been twelve years” Brandon said and Hannah smiled.

“Sounds like she was the most beautiful baby ever,” Hannah said and Brandon smiled and nodded.

“What if she’s lying, Brandon?” Hannah asked and he sighed.

“Then I would know once I see her,” Brandon said and Hannah stared at him and looked away. Silence followed but then she finally spoke breaking the silence between them.

“Jessica is right, You know she’s crazy and she would do anything to be with you. I don’t want anyone that would harm my kids” she said as she stood up and walked towards the dressing table.

“Nothing would happen to our kids. Nothing would happen to them or you, I promise I would protect you with everything I have” he said as she stood up and moved towards her then wrapped his hands around her tiny waist.

She swallowed into nothing as their gazes locked together from the reflection of the mirror. She then looked away and moved away from his grip.

“The maid will prepare it, you should rest” Brandon said and Hannah stared at him and looked away.

“I’m fine,” she said and made to move towards the door but he was fast enough and stood in front of her blocking her way.

“I’m serious Brandon, I’m okay,” she said as she felt her heartbeat increase.

“I know” he whispered as he pulled her closer to himself, with the both of them lost staring into each other’s eyes.

They could both hear their heartbeat at that moment in time. The entire room was so calm as the tension between the both of them increased.

He tilted his head and suddenly smashed his lips on hers.
