“Brandon” Hannah called and he turned to her with no expression on his face.

“Tell me what happened between you and your Brother. Don’t tell me he’s angry because he thinks you tried to kill him, I know there’s something else, what is it?” Hannah asked and he looked away from her before he finally spoke.

“Nothing, you should go to your room,” he said and Hannah scoffed.

“You are lying to me Brandon, I spoke with Lucas and even though he didn’t tell me everything, I know there’s more to why the both of you are at each other’s throats. Spill it out” she said and he turned to her.

“Are you trying to side with him? He’s a manipulative psychopath, he sure knows how to lie” Brandon said and Hannah scoffed.

“You are the one lying Brandon, you are not only lying, you are hiding the truth from me and making it look like Lucas is the bad one here.

I know absolutely nothing about you, you keep hiding a lot of things from me. Who was he talking about?” She asked and he turned to her and sighed.

“She’s Mellisa’s mother, My ex-fiancée,” he said and Hannah paused and raised her eyebrows wondering what connection Lucas had with Brandon’s ex-fiancée.

“Her name was Lisa, She was dating Lucas and then he had gone on a business trip for three months, before he came back something happened between us and she got pregnant with Melissa” Brandon paused and Hannah opened her eyes wide in shock.All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

She tried pushing words out of her mouth but words weren’t coming out but then she finally spoke.

“What? You knew she was dating your brother and you still slept with her?” Hannah asked

“I didn’t mean to do it. She drugged me and then it happened” he said and Hannah raised her eyebrows looking speechless not knowing what exactly to say.

She was still trying to process everything she had just heard. She raised her head and stared at Brandon, he was looking hurt.

“Where is Lisa now?” She asked

“She left after Mellisa was kidnapped and killed. I didn’t hear from her after then” Brandon said and Hannah sighed.

She didn’t know what to say.

She sighed for the hundredth time.

“You should rest, I’ll need to go meet the kids,” Hannah said and walked out of the study room.

The moment she walked out, she saw Lucas standing by the door.

He had been listening to all their conversations all this time, she thought as she stared at him and walked past him.

She went to her room, took her bath, and changed into a simple outfit before walking out of her room and going to the kitchen downstairs, to prepare dinner for the kids.

She walked inside the kitchen and sighed as she stared around.

Now she knows why Lucas hates his brother, he had every right to because of what Brandon did, he wasn’t only angry, he was hurt, she thought and then sighed before moving towards the fridge.

She brought out some tomatoes, carrots and onions from the fridge. She rinsed them and put them in a bowl.

She brought out the carrot as she took the knife and started slicing it, and then she drifted away into her thoughts.

She could imagine the pain Lucas had felt when he found out about all of this.

She could remember how she felt when she saw her best friend in bed with her ex-husband.

She felt like she was about to die. She could only imagine the pain Lucas would have felt.

She was in deep thought and had forgotten she was slicing a carrot when the knife cut her hands and then she winced in pain and dropped the knife immediately.

“Argh,” she groaned as she stared at her finger which was now bleeding.

“Are you alright?” She heard a voice say from behind, it was Lucas.

“Yes, I’m fine,” she said as she hid her hands.

“Did you cut your hands? Let me see it” he said as he dragged her hands and then saw the injury.

“Damn! What were you thinking? You should focus when using a knife. Come I will clean it up” he said and Hannah stared at him weirdly,

“No, seriously I’m okay. It’s just a small injury” she said and he sighed.

“I insist, at least I should pay you back for what you did for me today,” he said and after so much reluctance, she finally agreed to let him clean the injury.

They both walked towards the dining and sat on the chair while facing each other.

Hannah stared at him as he took the first aid box, opened it, started cleaning the injury, and then put a bandage plaster on it.

“I’m sorry for trying to get on Brandon’s nerves just now,” he said and Hannah stared at him without saying a word and he continued.

“Lisa was a sweet kind-hearted lady who had this charm that no man could resist.

Brandon lied when he said she drugged him, he isn’t telling the whole truth and how it had happened” Lucas said and Hannah stared at him straight in the eyes, all she could see in his eyes was pain. He was hurt.

“I’m sorry about what happened between the both of you, I’m sorry,” Hannah said and Lucas smiled.

“It’s fine. You know Brandon is really lucky to have a woman like you.

Because of you, I promise not to get on his nerves again. I will forgive him, I just need him to tell me where Lisa is.

I just want her back, that’s all” he said and Hannah noticed from the way he sounded, that he really loved Lisa.

She wondered who this Lisa was and how she looked.

Meanwhile, Brandon is seen pacing to and fro in the study room. He looked so scared that Hannah must be angry and hated him.

He decided to go speak with her and tell her everything. He walked out of the study room and went to her bedroom, she wasn’t there.

Then he decided to check downstairs and suddenly he saw Hannah and Lucas sitting at the dining table staring at each other.

He felt jealousy rush down his veins as he felt his heart beat increase at once, he felt like he was about to explode with anger mixed with jealousy at that moment.
