Chapter 286
Chapter 286
Coralie looked back and saw a familiar face behind her.
"Felicia?" She mumbled.
She had to pause for a while before she recognized Felicia York.
The last time she and Felicia met each other was five or six years ago.
At that time, Felicia had just graduated from university, looking young and innocent. However, she now
looked a lot more mature with her curly hair and a beautiful formal suit.
"Sister Coralie, it's really you! I heard from my colleague that it wasn't you who drowned last time. I
didn't believe it then, but now that I've seen you, I had to!" Felicia said.
Felicia hitched the bag in her hand to her shoulder and gave Coralie a big hug.
In fact, Coralie was not only ecstatic to see Felicia, she also felt that she had finally found a way to
obtain news about Skylar.
"Actually, it was me who jumped into the water, but I didn't die. It was the media who made a blunder."
Coralie didn't want to complicate things, so she simply pushed the matter to the media.
"I see. What are you doing here today? Are you going back to Skyton Corporation?" Felicia asked.
From what she knew, Coralie was Skylar's wife. With her status, it was only a matter of time for her to
return to Skyton Corporation.
However, she didn't know that a lot of things had actually occurred between Coralie and Skylar these
years.
"Felicia, erm... can I take some of your time?"
Coralie didn't know how to answer Felicia's question, so she could only change the subject.
"Sure," Felicia agreed happily. She was actually excited to see Coralie. She pulled her and said, "Let's
go. I'll treat you to dinner. I haven't seen you for a long time. I got a higher pay now."
Although Felicia was simple-minded, she was actually smart.
She knew how to differentiate the good people from the bad.
"Okay."
Coralie said and followed her, but she didn't intend to let Felicia treat her. Instead, she planned to pay
for herself.
On the way, she sent a text message to Hera telling her that she would go back later.
Felicia took Coralie to a French restaurant. They also specially picked a table at the corner, so that it
was quiet. There was a piano in the middle of the restaurant where a woman in a champagne-colored
dress was sitting there, playing.
As soon as they sat down, a middle-aged couple came in.
Coralie looked up and recognized that she was Lenora Fisher, the host of Skyton Annual Conference.
The man next to her should be her husband.
"It's Lenora."
Felicia also saw them and went up to greet them naturally.
Lenora and her husband were initially sitting outside. When she saw Coralie, a hint of surprise flashed
across her eyes before she came over and greeted Coralie.
"Coralie, it has been so long. The annual conference this year is just coming around. It always reminds
me of you."
She said this first to show that she remembered Coralie.
In fact, Coralie had left a deep impression in Lenora's heart. In those years, Lenora thought highly of
her in the company. She had also felt sad when Coralie resigned.
"Lenora, what a pleasure to meet you here!"
Coralie also stood up and greeted Lenora.
"I can see that you've been living well these years. Your skin complexion looks better than before, and
you look more energetic now."
Lenora said as she sized Coralie up. Her experience in S Country had made her into a different person.
They exchanged a few more words of greetings before Lenora left.
After Lenora left, they ordered some dishes. They kept chatting until the main course was served. Then
she asked Felicia, "Did Skylar show up in the company recently?"
"President Holland? You're asking me?"
Felicia showed a slight surprise at the fact that Coralie asked her about Skylar.
"Uhm, actually I haven't seen him for a long time... I don't know how he is now."
Coralie told the truth.
She and Skylar had only spent a while with each other because of the kidnapping incident last time.
"The truth is, we haven't seen him for a long time as well. I heard from the executives that President
Holland has now handed the company over to Jayson, so Jayson is basically in charge of everything."
Felicia frowned and said.
"Really? I asked the receptionist about making an appointment today, but the receptionist said that he
had closed off the appointment reservations for a long time. I even asked his friend, but I got nothing
from him. I'm very worried about him."
Coralie was emotional.
Her eyes were overflowing with concern, and she was really worried that something bad had happened
to Skylar. She didn't want him to carry it all by himself.
"If you put it that way, is President Holland really in some kind of trouble? He used to be responsible,
down to every last detail of menial events and ceremonies. However, we haven't seen him recently.
There was a project signing ceremony previously, but only the vice president and Jayson attended. It
has never happened before."
Felicia spoke her thoughts.
She wasn't one of the executives of the company, so it was almost impossible for her to meet either
Skylar or Dominic West. It was natural that she didn't pay attention to these things.
However, when Coralie mentioned it today, she tried recalling it and found that Skylar was a little out of
character.
"Is that so..." Coralie murmured.
"Oh wait, I remember now. He took part in a video call meeting, just last week. I heard it from my
colleagues."
Felicia said as she rummaged her memories and finally found something related to Skylar.
"A video call meeting?" Coralie asked.
"Yeah, I'm certain it was hosted by President Holland himself as it was very important. It seems to be
an important part of a project, so he personally presided over it."
Felicia said without hesitation.
Although she had only heard about it, it was from her colleague who went to deliver the information Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
files to the executives in the meeting. She said she heard Skylar's voice from the call, so she
immediately told everyone about it.
"Oh, thank you."
Coralie's heart was finally relieved upon hearing it.
"At least Skylar is still alive, and he can still talk..." She thought.
She was really afraid that Skylar was suffering from a coma or related affliction.
"Nah, it's no big deal. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for him for you. If President Holland comes to the
company or anything, I'll keep you in the loop."
Felicia tried to be helpful.
She asked for Coralie's phone number and was willing to help her.
......
It was around 9 o'clock when Coralie got home. Hendric had fallen asleep, and Wayne was already at
home.
"Coralie, what's going on between you and Yohan?" He asked.
Yesterday, Wayne was all about playing with Hendric that he forgot to ask Coralie about it.
According to the situation at that time, Yohan was dead set on marrying Coralie, but why did she
suddenly come back as if nothing had happened?
"Yohan..."
At the mention of this name, Coralie's face darkened again.
"Coralie, what's wrong with him?"
"Yohan is missing... He went missing on the day of our wedding..."
Coralie briefly filled Wayne in about the wedding that day.
Wayne's first reaction was, "Holy smokes, is this a theatre?"
Indeed, all of this was too surreal. When Skylar asked Jayson to take Coralie away, he coincidentally
ran into Dylan and the others who were planning to kill Yohan.
Everything was too uncanny.
"E-mail..."
The mention of Yohan reminded Coralie that before he jumped from the hot air balloon, he sent an e-
mail to Coralie saying that it would definitely help her one day.
Thinking of this, Coralie went to the bedroom for her old laptop and turned it on.
