Unspoken Love

Chapter 25 He Will Only Be Crueler to Me.

Chapter 25 He Will Only Be Crueler to Me.

Two years later.

There came footsteps from stairs.

Then, a teenage girl appeared with supper and then she knocked on the door. The woman inside

carefully opened the only door and took over the supper.

The cute girl was Jason's niece. Her name was Daisy Norton. She was in high school in Los Angeles.

This year, she dated with an Asian boy who played guitar.

Daisy reluctantly touched the fair and beautiful hands of the woman who was locked up in the

bedroom. Daisy only knew that she was Jason's wife. Daisy also knew that her name was Luna. After a

fire, her mental state became very poor. She always mentioned a child called Cindy.

Daisy asked Jason who Cindy was, but he didn't tell her. She was not allowed to mention this name in

front of Luna.

Daisy often thought that Jason was so bad. He even didn't allow Luna to look for her child.

And Luna was always locked up in this room because she was sick.

Daisy carefully stood on tiptoes and told Luna, "Aunt Luna, these are chicken with chestnut, twice

cooked pork, fried vegetables and green beans and corns. They are all delicious. There is also carp

tofu soup. You must drink it!"

Luna was very sober at this moment. Although her face and lips were pale, she became somewhat

sanguine and looked so charming with fragility.

Daisy praised, "Aunt Luna, you look beautiful."

Luna smiled gently like the bright sunlight. "Thank you."

Daisy whispered, "Do you remember you asked me to look for Cindy last time? I found her. She is

amazing. She even went to Japan and won the first place in the piano competition. She was on the

Yahoo news. Look, I printed it out!"

As she spoke, Daisy showed Luna the news. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Luna saw that Cindy was in good figure and she was elegant. Cindy was the most outstanding one

among others, as if she was in the spotlight.

The newspaper even became more eye-catching with Cindy on it.

Luna smiled warmly. "The operation seems to succeed. She lives well now."

Daisy looked at the Luna and felt sorry for her. "Do you still want to see her?"

"No, it's enough to see her in the newspaper."

"But maybe she wants to see you? She is only seven years old and still needs mother."

"Mr. Melton is with her, so she doesn't need me. Also ... if I get sick and go crazy, I will become her

shame. She might even feel inferior because of me."

Daisy was very sad. She wanted to comfort Luna, but she didn't know what to say. She hesitated for a

moment and said, "Aunt Luna, what if she doesn't care about that, and she only cares about you?"

They were quiet for a long time.

Then Luna seemed to come back to the reality. She said with tears welling up in her eyes. "Her father

is here. I'm no match for him. He is ... ruthless and cruel. I'm afraid he will only be crueler to me."
