Union Of Death (Secrets of The Famiglia Part 2)

Chapter 17 (Aliyana)

Chapter 17 (Aliyana)

After a long lunch and the afternoon fast approaching, I head to the kitchen for a snack, not expecting Marco to be sitting there.

I turn to head right back out,

“Don’t go,” Two words I once wanted to say, two words that would have once held much more than what it means now.

“Why?”

“Please, stay,” I think about it carefully, before I turn around and see him sitting by the counter with a chair and his laptop.

“I didn’t know you wear glasses.” His eyes are covered with a thin metal frame. He looks almost sad, and I find it odd since he has everything he wants.

“Years of reading do that to a man. If you looking for the chocolate there is a Belgium one on the top cupboard behind you.”

“Thanks.”

“Aliyana,”

“Did you know my sister? Azurella?”

He is so silent, and I wonder if I were to drop a feather would I hear it.

“Yes, I did. We all knew her, and I know what you thinking.”

I go to the cupboard and pull out the chocolate.

“No, you don’t.” He gets up and walks around the counter and I look up at the man that hurt me.

“I do, Mezzosangue, and that speech I gave in there did not mean that I just forgot about her, Deno named his fucking club after her. We have searched for years, looking.”

“So, where is she?” I slam the chocolate in his chest and he holds my wrist, holding my hand to his beating heart.

“Here, Mi Amore.” I pull my hand away from him.

“Don’t call me that, you have no right. You chose that over me.”

He traps me closer as his black depths drown me, all over again. I am not weak, but now I don’t feel strong any longer. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“I have every right; you think I had a fucking choice? You think I want to watch you throw yourself at other men?” He pushes me toward the fridge door, away from the passageway and preying eyes.

His other hand holds on to my waist, “You honestly believe I chose to let you go?”

“Please, Marco, don’t.”

“No, Aliyana, you don’t, you breaking my heart, Mezzosangue.” His mouth descends on mine and one day I will question the sanity behind this moment, someday I would look back and pray it finally made sense because today isn’t that day.

Today, I kiss Marco Catelli, the man who hurt me, the one who wants to kill my friend. Today, I betray my soul, my sister, my friends and my father as Marco lifts my body, and his hands grab onto my naked flesh.

I kiss Marco Catelli and he consumes me yet again. Only this time he is not mine and I know as much as it feels like it is, today I lie and sin. Today I choose lust of loyalty. And I don’t regret it one single bit, as he takes his other hand and holds onto my breast, grinding his hard length against my heated flesh.

A laugh, a familiar sound coming closer, my sister. I push Marco back and he stands there looking like a man lost but equal parts hungry, his chest rising and falling and I slap him.

“I hate you.” I should storm out, but I don’t.

I simply leave him there, as I walk away without a backward glance. Only now, I don’t have anywhere else to go besides somewhere in the property. A property that belongs to him.

“You’ve been awfully quiet since lunch, is everything alright?” Guilia asks me.

I want to remain quiet as I stand in the cold, watching the last of the light filter through the sky.

“I know her name,” I say.

“Whose name?” Guilia asks coming to block my view, she is wearing a jacket and I know somewhere in the back of my mind it is freezing but I just don’t feel it.

“Azurella.” Guilia’s eyes widen and she grabs my arm moving me further away from the house.

“Who told you? Papa never wanted you to know that Aliyana.”

“Papa doesn’t get to choose for me, he is not God, Guilia.”

“I know, but looking for her is dangerous,” She looks behind me, to the door, nervous before her gaze descends back on me, “What I tell you, you can’t tell a soul. Promise me Liya.”

I frown, as I stare at my disheveled sister.

“Promise me.”

“Okay, I promise.”

“A few years ago, I went with Papa to Los Angeles, for a function, he didn’t tell me much about it, but he said he wanted me to join and promised I wouldn’t tell. While we were there Papa disappeared, naturally I went looking for him and found him on the balcony talking to someone, I took a picture of it, it was Azurella, well the older version of her, but she wasn’t like how I remember her Liya, she was different.”

“Where is the picture?”

Guilia looks hesitant but slips her cell phone from the pocket she keeps around her thigh, and scrolls through pictures and I see her.

“Mia Sorella,” My sister I whisper.

“Our sister. I’ll send the picture to you, just don’t show anyone.”

My fingers drift over the screen.

“She is so tall, and her hair is short, like a boy.” She is wearing leather pants, and a jacket, with long riding boots as my father, stands next to her. Her face is serious and her eyes, I can’t really tell much about her eyes but she is alive. And my Papa has known it, maybe he has kept her that way, watched out for her.
