Chapter 596
"Exactly! It's either you return our goods or raise the price! Make your choice!" Walter joined. Hera's one word caused Ryder and Walter to lose half of their customers within two days.
On top of that, Dr. Shadow offered six times the price to purchase the herbs. Yet, they only received three times the price from Everly.
To make things uglier, Everly spent 12 times the price to buy out the herbs from the southern market!
What a huge loss for them!
The more they thought about it, the angrier they became. Thus, they ganged up with other suppliers of similar fate to demand an explanation from Everly.
All color drained from Everly's face. How did they find out that she bought Thiago's stock at 12 times the price?
She thought, "Thiago must've let the news out!"
Worse still, she couldn't increase the price because she didn't have that much money.
She said solemnly, "I can't increase the price. We signed a contract before. The price and amount of herbs are clearly stated in the contracts." "If you don't want to return us the herbs, fine. Pay us 12 times the price."
"If you can't do that, pay at least the same price Dr. Shadow offered."
"That's right! The price has been driven up so high now that even our suppliers have raised their prices. You can't get any supplies at the price you offered before."
"If you don't raise your offer, I won't ship the goods to you. I'll sell them to Dr. Shadow. I can supply to you once the price falls."
The suppliers chimed in, leaving Everly cornered and at a loss for words.
The commotion scared many of the customers. Only Priscilla and her friends were still there.
Priscilla had already lost the smile on her face. She piped up seriously, "What do you take us for? Do you think you can change the terms however you want?"
"But the price you offered us is unfair! This is bullying!" someone barked back.
Priscilla gulped because she knew that Everly was indeed wrong in this matter.
"Dr. Shadow has made another announcement! She's offering 20 times the market price to buy reishi mushrooms, turmeric, sea cucumbers, and oyster shells! Twenty times!"
The suppliers' eyes brightened, and they made a fuss about it.
"I'm not selling you the herbs! Return them to me! I want to sell them to Dr. Shadow!"
"Me too! You haven't paid the full amount anyway. I'm turning to Dr. Shadow!"
"Me too! Me too!"
Everly was panicking and thrilled at
the same time. She thought, "It seems like Hera is becoming anxious because she can't buy the
herbs at six times the pricvel
Now that Hera was offering 20 times the price, it was the perfect time for Everly to sell off her herbs!
She could rake in huge profits from this!
"Alright, I'll pay every one of you 20 times the price. This is final," she announced aloud.
Ryder and Walter exchanged looks before discussing with other suppliers.
Their objective was to raise their selling price, not retrieve the goods. Since they had offended Dr. Shadow, she might choose to not buy from them.
Besides, Everly was willing to raise
her offer! Therefore, they decided to put an end to this by agreeing with the final offer. They gave her the price adjustment contracts they had prepared beforehand for her to sign.
In order to stop them from causing any more trouble and ruining
quickly skimmed through the contracts and signed them.
Forever Clinic's reputation,
The suppliers left with a contented smile, and Priscilla finally relaxed.
Everly said, "Grandma, you and your friends should stay and watch how Hera comes asking for herbs later."
However, there was no sign of Hera the whole afternoon. Even Catherine had left without them realizing.
"When is she going to come?" one of them grumbled impatiently.
Even Priscilla was running out of patience. Everly was afraid that Priscilla might storm out of the clinic, so she called Hera.
"Sorry, the number you have dialed is unavailable. Please try again later..."Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Hera had turned off her phone!
Refusing to give up, Everly called again but it was in vain.
She tried calling Wayne with a different number so that he could pass the phone to Hera.
