The Lycan's Soul Mate

chapter 22 Friends Again

chapter 22 Friends Again

Luca and Soccorah walked home in silence. Neither of them saying a word to the other secretly

occupied in their own thoughts. Luca went right to the bathroom to shower. He couldn’t believe what

had happened. She actually forgave him. After those months of being punished she finally forgave him.

He breathed a sigh of relief as the water run down his body. He kept smiling as he remembered her

smile, her touch as she held his hand.

Her beautiful blue eyes filled up his senses. He could smell her all over his clothes. Her scent was one

that he would never forget. He ached all over for her but he knew that he couldn’t push it. She’d only

just forgiven him. He would have to use all of his charm to conquer her. Overnight this had become his

only focus. It was as if he needed her to live hell to breathe. All those months with her treating him like

nothing, like he didn’t exist was hell for him. Having her forgiveness was a silver lining. It gave him

hope.

In spite of all this he was an Alpha’s son and he couldn’t be weak. Besides he had promised his father

he would choose a mate soon and he had to choose one from the pack. He wasn’t sure what Luna

was. She had not told them what she was and he couldn’t push as he didn’t want to make things bad

between them again. Sooner or later, she would be comfortable enough to open up to him or Soccorah

but that time was not yet upon them.

Soccorah like Luca was beside herself with happiness. She was relieved that she had her friend back

and vowed that she would never be so inquisitive again. Trust is of paramount importance to the

survival of a friendship and she would not risk her friendship ever again. Luna had proven to be a great

friend and just as the friendship had started to bud, she’d managed to ruin it. Luna was one of a kind

and if it’s the last thing she did she would regain Luna’s trust. As she sat on her bed in her sleep Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

clothes looking up at the rising moon, she thanked the goddess for rekindling their friendship. She

grabbed her cellphone and called Luna to make plans for the following day. She’d seen the way that

Luca looked at Luna and thought that there was something but after he’d reprimanded her after the

night everything went wrong, she really wanted to just not do anything to bring about a repeat of his

disappointment toward her.

“Luna, it’s me Soccorah. I just wanted to thank you again for forgiving me. It was a terrible time for me

not being able to talk or do anything that friends do since u were so pissed at me. Is it too soon to ask

you to hang out with us by the creek in the woods?” Soccorah asked.

“Thanks for the invite. Will be there. I mean since I was planning on taking a walk over there anyway.

Not like I had anything to do on a Saturday.” Luna replied quite happy about the invitation. She really

wanted to know what Soccorah meant by US. OMG! It has to be Luca. Soccorah didn’t really hang out

with anyone other than Luca and herself and Luca anyway. Luna’s heart started to race and her

breathing intensified. She really didn’t know what was happening.

It was as if every time she was close to Luca everything changed. Her emotions just tried to get the

better of her. She’d want him. Really want him but she was a girl and she had class. She refused to be

like those sex crazed girls at school who literally threw themselves at guys and most of those guys

didn’t even want them. They’d use them then discard them and move onto the next girl.

How perfect would it be if Luca shared her feelings? But she knew that she could never be this lucky.

Besides he was a Lycan. From what her uncle had told her he couldn’t be with just anyone. He would

have to imprint to choose a mate. The goddess has to make that choice for them as they are direct

descendants of the moon goddess. Kind of like a prince. She sighed as she thought of this notion. If he

were a prince then she definitely was out of his league. He would need a princess, someone of a rare

and precious lineage and damn it she didn’t have that. Hell, she didn’t even know that she was a ware

wolf until recently and she was still ignorant of all that it entailed. Thank the goddess for her uncle. If

not for him she never would have made such progress.

Luna who now lived with her uncle had left most of her clothing at her old house dreaded having to go

there, went to ask her uncle whether he could accompany her to get the rest of her stuff. Things had

not been the best with Luna and the persons whom she believed to be her parents and since the

deception she’d moved out. Lucian Gladly agreed and got his keys. He’s stayed in the car and waited

while she got her stuff.

Luna thanked the goddess that no one was home and quickly grabbed her stuff and left. She’d left a

note to let them know that she collected the rest of her stuff. Lucian on the other hand could see how

nervous she was so he asked “where are you off to anyway. Why all those preparations?” Luna was

surprised at his question and simply said ‘I’m going by the creek with Soccorah and her friends.” Lucian

smiled and replied “That’s what has you all rattled up. Thought you had a date or something. You

weren’t this nervous when we had that competition. Relax!”

Luna thought to herself that Luca wasn’t at that competition and she hadn’t met him yet. She didn’t

even know that she could feel this way about someone let alone be this nervous. She didn’t even know

if he would be there but yet still, she worried about her appearance. “Lucian is right you need to relax.

These are your friends so don’t be a nerd and go ruining it. Relax Luna. You still have time to prepare.”

She said to herself begging the great white wolf inside her to settle down.

“We’re friends again. I don’t know why I’m so nervous. You’re right. There is nothing to worry about. I

don’t need to impress anyone. Just need to be myself.” She said out loud as she carried her stuff to her

room.
