The Last Ceo’s Deal

Chapter 48: Honey crap

CHAPTER 48.

Fanuel’s Pov.

“Don’t tell me no one got a clue or a hint on how her dress was torn!”

“I’m sorry boss but we don’t have any idea, we’ve investigated and even checked the cctv for any sign to capture such person but it’s all blank”

“Kol, so you’re trying to say that a random stranger walked to my house and tore my wife’s gown, huh?”

“I…I’m sorry, we will dig into the matter.”

He stuttered after I stared daggers into his eyes.

What was his duty as a bodyguard when his presence was so useless! I personally asked him to be with Christine all through to avoid her running away or any story that will touch the heart.

I couldn’t describe how I felt when Christine had cried that her gown was torn, I thought she did it herself but the voice and tune she wore was that of fear. She seemed scared that I’m going to hurt her because of that and I seethed in anger, she wasn’t supposed to feel that way and I’m not supposed to feel that way either.

I’m not supposed to care whether she was scared, hurt, or suffering.

I shouldn’t give a fuck but I was vibrating with anger.

I had called Shirley and went straight to the point that she thought I was an imposter.

“Who are you?” she had said that day and my voice was deadly calm.

“I have a wedding, my wife’s wedding dress is torn, My parents are present with powerful businessmen and friends, the press and crew are all over and I have a damn contract to sign after this. You only have 60 seconds to figure out a new dress for my wife and she has only 30 minutes to arrive here if not consider your fashion licensed revoked and your precious fashion house locked down.”

The heavy gasp that followed was priceless as she cut the call and went down to work.

I wasn’t disappointed at all, that’s Shirley for you.

I’ve known her since high school and even though she has the hots for me, I definitely don’t give a damn.

She was just too good as a fashion designer and I rendered help in opening a fashion line for her.

Christine was breathtaking that I couldn’t help but give her a thumbs up, everything was going well until that wonderful blast shattering of the chandeliers.

“Get the hell out of my sight and tell Edward to come over here, I need to talk to him” I dismissed my men.

I had called them for this case but they were spewing rubbish.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Wait! Get me the manager’s contact”

“Which contact boss?”

“The stupid grand reception that almost took the life of my wife or her friend.”

He nodded gleefully and went out.

It’s weird how I keep saying ‘my wife’ perfectly like it has no meaning. I can’t believe it, No! I was mad when Christine refused to acknowledge my name. Aside form the public protocols, there’s this feeling of accomplishment or responsibility when she’s being called that and I fucking like that.

Call me weird but that’s how I feel.

I feel possessive, owned, taken, having a sense of responsibility and feeling very stupid for feeling that.

Jeez guys!! Get a grip guy.

She’s the daughter of a thief!

Wait!

She had a very bizarre nightmare last night and it kept me wondering why her dad would want to hurt her, could it be that she misses her dad so much.. tch! that scumbag!

He had a precious daughter and went ahead to squander millions and fled without thinking about the preparation of his act.

And Christine? She’s being so fiesty! I know she already has this jungle behavior but it intensified to another level and I find it amusing in a strange way. I love arguing with her and staring her glare at me on any statement I make. She talks a lot and stares at me with some kind of bitter-sweet description.

She looks at me like I’m the sexiest person on earth with love and another time she sees me as some piece of trash, like an ugly monster who treated her like crap and that gives me an irky feeling from the pit of my stomach.

I really hate that look.

Drake’s In your feelings ringtone blasted out from my phone and I retrieved the phone from my pocket.

It was Jayden.

“Hey”

“Hi married man, how is the honeymoon?”

I scoffed and fought a grin from appearing.

“It’s actually none of your business, you broke the rule by calling. Singles aren’t supposed to disturb couple during their honeymoon.”

“My bad.. did I hurt you? How can you ever forgive a single soul like me?” He fakes a crying tone and I chuckled.

“Did you call me for all this Jayden or you want me to send the cops to instill some manners into you?”

“Douchebag! How is Christine?”

“None of your business.”

“Stop being a psychopath.”

“I think you’re crazy, why would you ask about my wife…she’s not your responsibility.”

Jay laughed out mockingly.

“Drop that charade Fanuel, it doesn’t suit you. I’ve told you to sign up with an acting company, you’re definitely going to win some Oscar awards.”

Silence……

“Uhhmm…so how is she?”

Silence……

“Fanuel ugh! What’s wrong with you? Fine! Her friend was actually asking about her and I really want to know how she’s faring.. don’t worry about that, I will call her later.”

“How is Laurel?” I finally asked him.

“None of your business!”

“Get the fuck off from my phone”

“Wait!”

“….”

“Oak Bay mining is still taking the case to court!”

“That old man is playing with fire! What the heck?”

“You’re to appear in court on Monday, it’s everywhere on the news and magazine.”

“That thwart!! Who the hell does that to a groom who just got married?”

“I’ve got some lawyers to Look into it and defend the case, that man just wants the downfall of Hudson technology; I even went as far as giving him an offer of high interest rate since he doesn’t want the project again but he refused.”

“Really!! You shouldn’t have done that!’

“I just had to.”

” I already went there with the team board members and he told me straight to my face that that the company will crumble”

“That junk!!”

“Don’t worry Jay, I will appear in court on Monday.. I just need to teach him a little lesson before smashing the four walls of Oak Bay to dust.”

“You can’t! You’re still on your honeymoon!”

“Honey crap! You make me laugh at times. One moment you mock me for being serious and I should take up acting skills, the second moment you take all this marriage crap very seriously, don’t you think you need a psychiatrist?”

“I don’t know what to ever say to you Fanuel, do what you want concerning the company but try and be nice to Christine before the contract ends, we know how much you detest her but please don’t be the worst husband.”

He said and hung the call.

Don’t be the worst husband…..

That’s really outrageous, that name makes me creep talkless of acting like one.

Do I really detest her? Gosh!! Why do I even care?

I got up from the soft Italian single couch and stretched my bones and yawned. She should be up by now so I better check on her. My phone rang again and I hissed in frustration.

What’s it with everyone disturbing me on my honeymoon?

I looked at the contact ID and my brows furrowed into confusion.

It was Mirabel.
