The Last Ceo’s Deal

Chapter 41: She’s in danger

Diana’s POV.

“Bitchhhh!!!” She yelled furiously at me and threw her glass heels on me.

I scoffed in surprise.

“You’re useless! A simple piece of work and information and you flopped!”

“Really? I flopped” I laughed sardonically at her.

“Where were the possibilities or chances of stopping the wedding huh? Tell me!! Oh! You expect me to walk up to the priest and give a command to him to stop the wedding right? Or I could have walked up to Fanuel’s mum and threaten to stop her son from marrying rather I would have majestically walk up to Fanuel and tell him not to hold the wedding because Mirabel is still madly in love with you right?!!” I yelled in anger and her face was shocked.

“I should be the angry one here, not you.”

“Yes, I’m sorry I forgot. I should not be angry at the fact that the wedding was a success, that my efforts were just a waste, that the so-called lover who had pushed me into almost killing my friend couldn’t appreciate the little efforts, I should be glad and not angry;silly me.” I told her sarcastically and she rolled her eyes and sat down.

“Whatever, at least you should have done more. Fanuel is going home with that bitch and I can’t take it.. my heart pricks. I can’t believe how much I missed him until now.”

She says and I get angrier! You think you’re the only one who is mad at that fact huh!

I’m trying so hard to ignore that reality, can someone tell this brat just to keep quiet.

“But you tried.” I stared at her and she continued.

“I mean the security was very tight and all that but you manoeuvered your way to top to unscrew the chandeliers, that’s a smart move. It’s just so bad it hit her friend instead of her. That lucky bîtçh.” I smirked.

I was surprised at my ability also, it was as if my brain was controlled remotely and I stared up at the chandeliers which were staring right at her.

There were many others but that particular one was perfect to hit her.

“That couldn’t have stopped the wedding though, the vows were already exchanged and they were already a couple…just wondered why you wanted me to hurt the bride so much.”

“I never asked you to hurt anyone.”

“So how do you expect me to stop a wedding all by myself?”

“I thought you were smart.”

“No, I think you’re dumb.”

“What?”

“Yeah, only a dumb person starts writing what he doesn’t hear or starts moving in a pathless direction.”

She glared at me and I continued.

“You badly want to stop the wedding but you have no backup plan, nobody to go for a plan B.”

“I already have one.” She smirked.

“Then why wasn’t there another plan or alternatives?”

“There was, infact your own plan B came out but unfortunately none of it worked out.” She sighed dejectedly and chewed on her lower lip.

I could only sigh in confusion and stare at her.

She was fucking beautiful and classy and she was fit for Fanuel no doubt, but Fanuel doesn’t give a damn about her, I could tell from his expression at the party.

She’s so hellbent on having Fanuel, so am I.

Even if I don’t have Fanuel, I would never let anyone have him.

So I would stick to her and use her to get Fanuel. I don’t care anymore! I just want to do anything or everything to see that Fanuel doesn’t end up with Christine.

“The deed is already done, I just need to step up my game and come up with a new plan, even if it would mean becoming the second wife and kicking that girl out, I would do so”She said seriously and I almost laughed out loud.

“Okay, it seems my services are no longer needed then. Have a happy married life ahead.” I stood up to go but she sent a sharp glare towards me.

“Are you mocking me?”

“How?”

“I’m only congratulat…

“Shut it! You’re just getting started dear, since she’s your friend, get closer to her and make sure you convince her to allow you to stay with them in their new home.” I gasped

“That’s not possible, Fanuel will literally throw me out.”

“That’s why she’s your friend, look for her weak point and make her do something that will make Fanuel accept you without a choice.”

She’s right.

Christine is soft hearted and can do anything especially for the one’s she loves.

“Think about that dear, you don’t have to worry about any damages. I got it all covered up…don’t forget that my Daddy is the president.” She winked at me and I smirked.

“She’s fine now.” The doctor told Jay and he sighed in relief.

“Okay, can I see her now?”

“Yeah, just don’t disturb her much. She needs enough rest to let the wounds heal faster” Jay nods his head at the doctor and dashed inside the ward room.

She lay there peacefully and beautifully in her long pink silk dress, with a slit that revealed her long delicious laps and legs. Her hair was still neatly packed in a side bun and her make up was still intact. She was so beautiful that seeing her in this condition made his heart ache.

He hated seeing her in pain, or in a stagnant position.

He enjoyed watching her work and moved happily chatting away with her melodious voice and keeping her angelic smile. All of these just had to happen on his brother’s wedding day.

“Jayden?” Her voice snapped him out from his reverie.

“Laurel” he sighed in worry.

“Are you okay, are you in pain? Do you need anything?”.

“Stop it okay, I’m not dead. I’m very okay.” She grins at him.

“You were almost…..” he restrained his voice from saying the next words. How could he even say such a thing?

“It didn’t happen okay, and all these would soon heal so stop being a worry wart.”

“You became the sacrificial lamb again for your friend.”NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

“I never knew she was in danger again, I knew that glass was meant for Christine. We were chatting happily when all of a sudden….” Her voice trailed in worry and horror.

“Gosh!! Christine would have been badly hurt if not for Edward.”

“Shhh! Stop worrying, she’s fine and she left with her husband. You’re the one who almost got hit and I can’t help but want to punch something.”

“But why will they fix such a weak chandelier in a grand event like that!!” Laurel almost yelled.

“It wasn’t how they fixed it, it was who unfixed it.”

She gasped in shock.

“Someone did that.?” She asked in horror and Jayden could only sighed.

She knows she won’t stop asking him endless questions and she needs to rest, if there’s anything she doesn’t need right now is panic and worry.

As for the person up there, his eyes couldn’t miss the color of the dress.

What was she doing up there the same time the chandelier fell?

“Jayden, someone is after Christine’s life, you need to tell Fanuel.. she’s in danger.” Her lips quivered in worry and Jayden cups her face.

“Hey! You need to rest. She will be fine, I promise.”

He tells her huskily and slams his lips on her.
