Chapter 11 - The Curse of Guilt
Chapter 11 - The Curse of Guilt
"Honey, I'm so in love with this car. It's such a beautiful shade of blue - I really want one!" Linda
affectionately grasped Marco's arm, their love for one another on full display for the onlookers.
"Sir," the salesperson began, "this car is incredibly rare. Only ten were made worldwide, and this is the
only one in this city. Whoever owns it is sure to feel incredibly special. If you were to buy it for your
partner, they would be truly grateful." Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
"Of course I'll buy this car," Marco said, glaring at the salesman who stood near him. "Now, you can go.
I'll call you if I need anything."
He gave the salesman a swift kick in the leg, causing the man to bow and hastily retreat.
"What a waste of time," Marco muttered. "I don't like it when I'm in the process of buying a car and
other people are just hanging around me!"
"Darling, you know," Marco began gently, "this car isn't quite right for you. The color is much more
suitable for a man. Why don't we try to find something a bit more affordable?"
Linda protested, "But Marco, you promised you would buy me a car!"
Sighing, Marco replied, "I know, sweetheart, but I think it would be better if we found something a bit
more budget-friendly. Don't you agree?"
Linda's voice was full of hurt as she said, "But I don't understand why you're backing out."
"No! Marco, this is not how it should be. I gave you my virginity and you promised me something. It's
clear to me that this is all just a game to you. But I know you have to keep your word."
"Yes, but I can just find someone else who is willing to be with me for a lower cost. Besides, I'm not
even sure if you're still a virgin. I have been generous enough to offer you the chance to pick a car, but
not this one. You don't deserve it."
Linda grasped Marco's arm, drawing him near. She embraced him, allowing him to feel her body
against his. She was aware of her beauty and was the envy of many men. Marco would be lucky to find
another girl as stunning as her.
Linda was sure she'd be able to captivate him with her beauty. "I'm sure I will be able to conquer the
man with the beauty that I have," she thought.
"I'm sorry, Marco," she began, her voice softening. "My accusations were out of line. I still believe you
to be a responsible man and I want us to keep trusting one another. You have to fulfill your promise and
buy me that car; what I have given you is also very valuable."
"Don't you know how much this costs? Fifty f*cking million dollars. With that kind of money, I could get
fifty women as beautiful as you. So, Linda, if you still want to be with me, please show some respect for
my money. I'm not broke, but it's too expensive for you. How can you convince me that you're still a
virgin? I didn't feel any difference when I was sleeping with you, Linda. It was just the same as with all
the other girls I've been with." He asked, his voice full of doubt.
"I've never been in a relationship with any man before," Linda asserted, her tone affirming her words.
"And Arthur? He's impotent. Do you really think someone as meek as him would do something like that
to a woman? You ought to reconsider before accusing me of this, Marco!" she exclaimed.
"Alright," Marco confirmed, "I believe Arthur is impotent, but we need to get this purchase over with.
Shall we buy the cheapest car in this lot, or shall we leave and I'll have nothing more to do with you?"
he asked.
Marco smiled faintly at Linda. Despite wanting to enjoy her body for a long time, he felt that if he had to
pay 50 million dollars for it, he could surely find a better girl than her.
Nevertheless, Marco did this because he still had faith that Linda would remain devoted to him and be
in love with him since she had genuine feelings for him, and Marco was confident that he would still be
able to enjoy her even if he didn't reach her expectations.
"Women are so easy to get." He thought to himself.
Marco would probably still buy the car later when he got another girl worth more than Linda, and he
knew he would need it sometime soon.
"Let me take that car, then."
Marco heard a man's voice approaching him, a voice he knew very well, a voice that instantly infuriated
him.
Marco spun his head around and was immediately spellbound by the sight of a beautiful girl. "What the
heck?" he thought in awe. "How did someone so gorgeous end up here? Who is she?"
Marco couldn't be unaware of such a stunning girl in this town, known for his playboy status and having
had the pleasure of many companions, none of whom were as flawless as the one standing before him.
Marco wondered to himself, "Is she a celebrity?" But there was no way she was famous, and Marco still
didn't know her identity. He felt certain that such a stunning girl would not be able to evade his grasp.
"What the fuck such a trash like you are in this place, Arthur? Did you deliberately follow me to this
place because you still hope that I will still accept you as your fiancé?"
"What the heck?" Marco exclaimed, turning to the man who had been with the beautiful girl earlier. He
immediately recognized the man as Arthur. "What the heck are you doing here, Arthur?" he demanded
angrily.
"I want to buy a car, and I hope you get out of my sight immediately because you're getting in my way."
Arthur said with confidence.
Edna heard the words of the girl, who was presumably Mr. Gardner's former fiancée, and suddenly she
had the idea to make her feel remorseful for forsaking the man. With that thought in mind, she grabbed
Arthur's hand, held it close to her chest, and said sweetly, "Honey, thank you for the car that you’ll buy
for me."
