Chapter 285 Chief Hoyle.
Chapter 285 Chief Hoyle.
Olive Steele looked at her daughter amusedly. She wanted to be close to her father, but he just pretended not to care.
Though the soft, little lips touched his face slightly, Alan Hoyle was pleased. He was fully aware of how his daughter thought.
"Okay, let’s go home." Olive said with a smile.
They got into the elevator where a young woman with a four-year-old child was in.
Olive smiled faintly as a greeting. She knew the woman was a neighbor, but they were pretty much strangers, because Olive had no time to spend with the people in the neighborhood, and she hated to gossip with them.
While Annie, who followed Olive’s parents everywhere in the community, knew many of their neighbors. She gave a sweet smile and greeted, "Auntie Wang."
The woman never moved her eyes away from Alan Hoyle after they entered the elevator, "Oh dear, Olive, is this your boyfriend? He’s really handsome!"
Rumor had it that the girl of the Steeles met a wealthy businessman who took her daughter as his own. Seeing the handsome appearance and the extraordinary temperament of Alan’s, Wang recognized him at once.
Alan Hoyle did not like this kind of words, but still, he nodded his head slightly and said, "Hi, I am Annie's father."
"Really?" The woman was surprised and curious, while in fact, the surprise was false and the curiosity was true.
Alan Hoyle said lightly, "Really."
This woman was truly shocked. She was opening her mouth, astonished, when Annie reminded her, "Auntie Wang, you arrived. Why don’t you go home?"
Hearing Annie, the woman realized her gaffe and got out of the elevator with her son in a hurry.
The same second when the elevator door closed, Annie made a V gesture, saying, "Good job, uncle weirdo!"
"Huh?" It was rare to be praised by his daughter, but he felt like being used by this kid. Alan Hoyle smiled and looked at his daughter, "You hate that Aunt?"
"Of course I do. She called Mommy a mistress." The little guy said angrily.
Anger crossed in Alan's face suddenly, and Olive was also a little sad. She did not want to bring too many negative emotions to her kid, so she stretched out her hand to squeeze her daughter's small face, "Do you even know what a mistress is?" NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
"I don't, but it’s gotta be a bad word." Although the children's understandings were not as good as that of adults, they could distinguish between good and bad. "They also said that I am a bastard that no one wanted me."
"Who said that?” These words made Alan Hoyle almost lost control of himself right away, “Tomorrow, you will show them to Daddy one by one!"
When the posts online were spread, Olive knew that it would hurt her and her family, but she did not expect that those people would say such things in front of her baby daughter.
Alan was frustrated seeing her pale face pale. It was all because of him that Olive and Annie would get hurt, "Honey, I'm sorry, but please, believe me, this will be over soon."
He would make his woman and little baby of theirs be the happiest females in the whole world.
"I'm okay." Olive smiled and then took her daughter's little hand to say, "Darling, do you remember Mommy used to tell you that it wasn't your father who didn't want you, it was because he didn’t know Mommy carried you in the belly. Now that Daddy has found us and known about your existence, he will be with us forever. You now have Daddy, too, you know?"
"I know, and if he drops us again, we’ll never want him back in the future!" Annie snorted and threatened.
Hearing what Annie said, Alan Hoyle got his heart painful and soft. "Then can Annie call me Daddy?"
Annie pouted, "Uncle weirdo, you are so forgetful, you haven't married Mommy yet, why should I call you Daddy?"
Alan Hoyle smiled, "Honey, it seems that we have to get the registered sooner, or our baby won't take me as her father."
“Mommy won’t marry you so soon,” Annie said again, "Grandma said people won’t cherish the things that they get easily."
"My little baby, Daddy overcame many problems before having your Mommy back. Don't mess with it anymore, okay?" Alan begged for mercy.
"No way!" The little girl stuck her tongue out and giggled all the way into their home.
Olive’s father recovered himself from the alcohol as well and was feeding fish on the balcony.
