The Imposter Bride (Natalia and Magnus)

Chapter 344

Chapter 344

Magnus was already washed and dressed, stepping out of the bathroom with his damp hair plastered

across his forehead, radiating a raw sensuality.

When he saw Diana in his room, Magnus asked with knit brows. “Miss Diana, you’re back again?”

Diana, spellbound, was fixated on Magnus. Her eyes were filled with undeniable infatuation. His charm

deeply captivated her, and she felt that he had stolen her heart.

When Diana remained silent, Magnus repeated, "Miss Diana?"

Diana snapped back to reality. Stowing away her smitten gaze, she asked timidly, "Mr. Andersen, I

heard you came in a private jet?"

"Yes, is that a problem?" Magnus was confused about Diana's question.

James, now dressed in his pajamas, was still miffed about Diana's earlier sly move, chimed in

sarcastically, "Miss Diana, did you make this trip just to see the jet? I heard your company, Stitches

Fashion, is doing quite well. Surely you've seen a jet before?"

"No, I just came to ask Mr. Andersen if he could slip away unnoticed tomorrow, so my brother doesn't

find out," Diana whispered, her eyes darting around as if William might suddenly appear.

"Why?" Magnus was puzzled.

"Because of my brother's old-fashioned ways! He said I can't leave Rome and even took my passport. I

am going to explode with frustration!" Diana vented.

"Can't leave Rome?" James was in disbelief. "I've heard of mummy's boys and daddy's girls, but never

a brother's little princess! So, you're your brother's precious baby, always under his thumb, always

following his orders?"

Upon hearing James' teasing, Diana retorted, "What are you talking about? My brother is just

concerned about my safety. That's why he doesn't want me to accompany you to Melfort!"

The moment she said this, she regretted it. Why had she brought it up?

As expected, Magnus and James exchanged a glance at Diana's words. James continued to provoke

Diana, "What are you now, a grown woman without freedom? You just mentioned your brother’s

concern for your safety and his disapproval of you joining us in Melfort. I see, Miss Diana, you better

leave now! We wouldn't want to upset your brother and cause unnecessary trouble!"

Saying this, James motioned to escort Diana out of the room.

Diana was regretting her words and now seeing James trying to usher her out, she was flustered.

"That's not what I meant, you misunderstood. My brother is just worried about me being in a foreign

country, unfamiliar with everything, and causing trouble for you. You misunderstood me." Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

James once again exchanged a glance with Magnus. Magnus then said calmly, "Miss Diana, we

sincerely invited you to visit our Melfort headquarters. We didn't expect your brother to oppose the idea.

If he's really that worried, maybe you shouldn't go to Melfort to avoid any unpleasantness."

"No, no, no!" Hearing Magnus say this, Diana was instantly anxious. "Mr. Andersen, my brother didn't

mean that, really, please don't misunderstand him. And I really want to go to Melfort. So what if he kept

my passport? I can secretly fly back with you on your private jet! I'm sure with your reputation and

status, Mr. Andersen, you can easily handle any trouble even if I don't have my passport, right?"

Magnus nodded nonchalantly. "You're right, but if your brother is so adamantly against it, it wouldn't be

right for us to cause a rift between you two. Let's forget about it."

Diana was anxiously sweating. She was desperate to go to Melfort with Magnus. How could she just let

it go?

"Mr. Andersen, I'm an adult, fully capable of taking responsibility for my actions. My brother is just

overly protective of me. I hope you understand. I've always been fascinated by mysterious Melfort, and

I really want to experience its beauty, so the trip must happen no matter what!" Diana said urgently,

fearing Magnus might change his mind.

Magnus remained silent, turning his gaze to James, who understood and leisurely said, "But we're

leaving very early tomorrow morning. Are you sure you can wake up in time, Miss Diana?"

"Of course, of course, I'm always up early. There's no problem at all," Diana responded quickly, fearing

they might change their minds.

"Great, we're leaving at 5:30 in the morning. We hope you'll be on time, Miss Diana. No waiting for

latecomers," James said, motioning for Diana to leave. "It's already late, Miss Diana. You should go

back and get a good night's sleep so you can wake up early."

"Certainly, it's a deal," Diana replied, striding out of the room with an air of victory. She was overjoyed

at having secured the trip with Magnus. It took all of her strength to suppress the urge to cheer.

After escorting Diana out, James closed the door and shrugged at Magnus. "Well, it seems this young

lady has taken quite a liking to you."

With a placid expression, Magnus flopped onto the bed. "It's not like it's the first time you've dealt with

this kind of situation. What's there to be surprised about?"

"Alright, alright, Magnus. I'm no match for you when it comes to keeping cool under pressure. I guess

it's time to hit the sack, so I don't wake up late and get left behind tomorrow!" James threw himself onto

the other bed and mimicked Diana's eager voice, saying, "Mr. Andersen, I've always been fascinated

by the mystery of Melfort. I really want to experience its beauty, so no matter what, we can't cancel this

trip to Melfort!"

James' imitation of Diana's voice was so comically exaggerated that it made Magnus feel sick. He

grabbed a pillow and threw it at James' face. "Get lost, stop making me nauseous. Watch out, or a

wicked witch will come to deal with you one day!"

"No, no, no, can't I change? Magnus, considering the years I've loyally followed you, you can't do this

to me!" James felt a chill run down his spine at Magnus' words. Women were a force to be reckoned

with; it was best to avoid their wrath.
