The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 425

Chapter 425

Now, Meredith left but Nora came.

With that thought in mind, Violet, once again, looked at the woman next to her son. Her line of sight

became especially sharp when she saw the two of them holding hands together.

Her son's attitude made her very dissatisfied. She didn't do anything and didn't say anything. But her

son guarded against her as if she were his enemy and it seemed that her son was afraid of what she

would do to this woman.

She didn't like Nora. But now she found Nora even more annoying, and her face finally darkened.

"This must be Miss Gray. Why don't you come in?" She asked indifferently.

Meredith looked at her and smiled softly, as if she had regained her usual composure, "Okay."

As she spoke, she broke free of Derek's hand. She did not even look at him, and slowly followed Violet.

What could Derek do? Of course, he followed her immediately. He couldn't let Meredith suffer.

They entered the low-key but luxurious hall. And servants served tea.

"Where is Miss Gray from?" Violet said as if she were chatting about the household stuff.

"J City."

"Really? It seems that Derek is very fond of J City. The girls he likes are all from that place." She raised

her eyebrows and was speaking casually.

Meredith smiled and said nothing.

"I heard that Miss Mason studied fashion design. I wonder where you graduated from?"

"I didn't learn it at college. I was only interested in it at first, and I've been doing it till now," Meredith

said faintly.

"... Never studied it at college? But as far as I know, Miss Gray is currently the design director of B

Department in Xavier Group."

Meredith nodded.

Violet looked at Meredith, "I also heard that when Miss Gray was working for the branch of Xavier

Group in J City, you had been accused of plagiarizing design. It caused turmoils back then and also

affected the reputation of the branch of the Xavier Group. Am I right?"

Meredith looked straight at Violet and suddenly smiled, "Since Mrs. Xavier has known that, it seems

that there is no need to ask me about it."

Violet narrowed her eyes and stopped talking as her expression turned sullen.

"Miss Gray, is that how you treat your elders?" After a moment of silence, Violet said slowly.

Because of the case of Meredith before, Violet had scruples against her son and she rarely didn't go

too far, but she never thought that this woman would dare to talk to her in this manner.

Didn't this woman know she was Derek's mother? This woman was even more uneducated than that

Meredith. Hmph.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Xavier doesn't seem to be my elder." Meredith brushed her hair and said calmly. Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

Violet, "..."

For the first time, Mrs. Xavier felt as if she had been hallucinating.

Derek didn't say anything and sighed in his heart.

"Miss Gray, what is your relationship with my son? I find that I may have misunderstood your

relationship." Violet quickly adjusted her mood and said meaningfully.

"Naturally, it's the relationship between the boss and the subordinate," Meredith said without hesitation.

But Derek frowned as he felt displeased, "It is not. We are a couple now and will marry in the future."

With that said, he held Nora in his arms and whispered, "You said you would give me a chance. You

can't go back on your words."

Meredith glanced at him emotionlessly and saw Violet's astonished look without refuting.

"This is ridiculous." Mrs. Xavier finally lost her temper.

She pointed at Meredith and said in a stern tone, "Derek, is this the woman you like? She is worse than

the previous one. Are you going to piss me off?"

"What did she just say? What attitude did she have towards me? Why do you like such a disrespectful,

uneducated woman?"

"You want this woman to be the mother of my grandson? Don't even think about it."

Derek frowned and looked at his mother without saying anything, but the determination in her eyes was

obvious. Violet was so angry upon seeing this.

After a few seconds of the standoff, Meredith suddenly smiled softly.

"Mrs. Xavier, your grandson, Easton, has long recognized me as his mother. Don't you know?"

Violet didn't understand what Meredith meant. She thought what Meredith said was that Easton had

agreed to let Meredith be his mother.

Violet glanced at her and sneered, "Miss Gray, I have the final say in what kind of woman can be the

mother of my grandson. Not to mention that you want to marry Derek, you don't even have the right to

walk in the Xaviers."

Meredith looked at Violet and shook her head, "You are exactly the same as you were five years ago."

Violet frowned and looked at Meredith rather unkindly as Violet didn't know what Meredith was talking

about.

"Mrs. Xavier, do you really not recognize me? Although my face has changed a little, I should have left

a deep impression on you."

Meredith said softly and looked at Violet, "I'm Meredith. How could you not recognize me?"

She said all these in a low voice, but her words were like thunder in Violet's ears. Violet's mind went

blank and she stood up abruptly.

"You. You are..."

Violet opened her mouth and didn't make a sound, but one could tell what she said as one looked at

the shape of Violet's mouth.

Meredith curled her lips, nodded kindly, and repeated, "Yes, I am Meredith. The one you may have

thought that is dead."

Violet was indeed Violet. Although she had been too shocked, she lost her composure for a moment

and soon she calmed down. However, she was still staring at Meredith in disbelief.

Meredith didn't care. She just smiled and looked at Violet.

Violet looked at Meredith condescendingly and resumed her superior demeanor, "So, you are alive."

She was wondering why her son stayed in J City and didn't want to come back. Why did he suddenly

fall in love with another woman? It turned out to be like this...

Violet became gloomy and her grudge towards Meredith didn't get reduced. Instead, Violet had more

grudge against Meredith. Her attitude towards Meredith didn't change even though Meredith gave her a

grandson.

Seeing this, Meredith looked down to hide the mockery inside her eyes. It was unrealistic to expect the

other party to have even the slightest bit of guilt for her.

To people like Violet, even if they really killed her back then, they must think that she deserved it.

Damn.

With this thought in mind, she suddenly had a hint of malice.

"Mrs. Xavier, I just went to Mr. Xavier's place. He meant to let me get my marriage certificate with

Derek and get the wedding done. What do you think?"

Violet's expression changed again.

Meredith looked at Violet and smiled as if she thought Violet's reaction was funny, "Don't worry, I didn't

agree."

"But now, seeing your reaction, I suddenly feel that it will be interesting."
