Chapter 377
Leaving?
Nora hesitated, but was still pulled away by her son. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Easton dragged his mother straight back to the company. He was sure that the crazy woman would
definitely come to complain.
As expected, hardly had the two people gone into the entrance of the company than Easton got a call
from Damian. The two took the elevator straight up to the office on the top floor.
It shouldn't have been long since that frenzy woman had arrived. Before they entered the room, they
heard Miss Judy turning the facts upside down outside the door.
"Mr. Xavier, although your son is still young, not only did he curse me once we met, but he also hit me.
What's more, he even threw my bag on the ground. I wonder how he was brought up!"
"Also, Mr. Xavier, your wife, it's one thing for her to leave your son alone, but it's another for her to let
your bodyguards stop me from talking to him. So, this is how you treat your guests. News to me!"
"Uncle, the wife and son of this Mr. Xavier have gone too far. We are here to talk about the cooperation,
not to be their punchbags. I think it's totally all right if we just rule them out."
Judy's idea was very simple. In her opinion, the reason they came here was to select the capable and
qualified cooperative partner to sign the contract with.
In other words, they were the ones seizing the initiative. It would be a great honor for the people here to
cooperate with their family, so anything and anyone that made her uncomfortable deserved nothing
good.
Now that Judy was mad at Nora and Easton, no one other than Mr. Xavier was the best one for her to
vent her anger on.
This transnational cooperation was very important to both parties. Therefore, anyone who came as the
representative was smart.
Robert Horton was not only Judy's uncle, but also a senior leader who had real power in the Horton
Family's business. Besides, he knew his niece very well.
Therefore, after listening to his niece's complaints, Robert knew very well that it was probably not the
case, but he did not show anything on his face. However, this was related to the honor of the Horton
family, so he needed to solve this problem tactfully.
Robert patted his niece's hand to calm her down and looked at Derek across from him, "Mr. Xavier, I'm
really sorry. Judy has always been an outspoken girl. Please forgive her."
"But if Mrs. Xavier doesn't want to accompany Judy, you may tell us. We won't force anyone to do
anything she doesn't want to do."
So Robert believed what Judy said.
Easton snorted and strode in holding his mother's hand, "You're right. We really don't want to stay with
your niece."
Their appearance drew everyone's attention, and Judy was glaring at them.
Derek, who had been expressionless all the time, smiled when he saw Nora. He asked the two of them
to come closer to him, held Nora's hand personally and made her sit beside him.
Although Nora was embarrassed, she would not go against him in front of so many people. Moreover,
with Derek around, she did not need to worry about this trouble.
Robert stared at Easton in an ambiguous way. "So this must be the Little Young Master of the Xavier
Group, right? I wonder what you meant just now."
Easton looked at his small figure, finding that he was short and unimpressive, so he asked the
bodyguard behind him to pick him up and help him sit on the desk.
Cross-legged, he folded his arms over his chest and looked Robert in the eye with his big bright eyes.
Not only didn't he show any fear, but he stared at Robert unreservedly and then pursed his lips.
"Old man, that woman is your niece, right? Then I hope you'll discipline your niece and stop her from
biting people like a crazy dog."
"My teacher said that crazy dogs would have rabies if they kept biting people. It's scary."
Everyone, "..."
Except for Derek, no one had expected this little fellow to be so bold and say such words without any
scruples, and he was clear and logical. Suddenly, silence hung heavily in the meeting room.
Robert's face darkened, while Judy was trembling with anger. She pointed at Easton, livid. "Shut up!
Who's the mad dog? Who are you talking about?"
She turned to look at Derek abruptly. "Mr. Xavier, look at your good son."
"Tsk, although you're a mean person, your sight is pretty good. Of course, I'm my father's good son. I
don't need you to tell me that." Easton rebutted.
When he finished his words, Easton turned his little head to Derek and began to complain.
"Dad, let me tell you how obnoxious this woman is. Mom and I had waited downstairs for them for a
long time. As soon as this woman came down, she treated mom as a servant, threw her bag in front of
us, and asked mom to carry it for her."
"She also said that no one else could carry the bag for her, but mom."
Easton articulated what happened exactly, turned around and threw a scornful stare at Judy.
"Who do you think you are? And you wanted my mom to carry your bag? Your daydream has gone too
far. You're out of your mind."
The little guy continued to complain, "Not only that, but she also cursed me, and she used some really
bad words. Everybody in the lobby heard it."
"Dad, this woman is awful. The family that brings up this kind of women can't be good. Let's not
cooperate with them."
It was not the first time for the Horton Family of M Country to talk with the Xavier Group over the
cooperation, and they had showed their intention half a year ago. So naturally, Derek had carefully
investigated his partner.
It was just because Derek knew what kind of person this Miss Judy of the Horton Family was that he let
his son go with his mother. With her son around, Nora would definitely not suffer any loss.
However, Derek didn't expect the woman to be a loose cannon. She did whatever she wanted to do
and said whatever she wanted to say. He wondered whether she was too stupid or too confident.
Hmph.
Poker-faced, Derek looked at Robert with a light frown. "Mr. Robert, I asked my wife and son to
accompany your niece out of good intention, but now, my good intention seems unnecessary."
Robert frowned and his face darkened a little. He was angry at both Derek and Judy, but he got his
priorities straight.
Judy didn't, but Robert did. He knew very well that the Xavier Group was not like what his niece said.
Their family business was booming in M Country, but it was also on par with the other big families'
business. It was difficult to break the status quo.
In this case, they could focus on other countries to expand their business.
H Country was a great opportunity. It had a large population and great demand. If they could have a
finger in the pie, the profit would be immense.
Even before the two of them cooperated with each other, the Horton Family had heard of this Xavier
Group. After all, there was a branch of the Xavier Group in M Country, and it was not a small one.
