The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 219

Chapter 219

Derek asked someone to bring the things in.

The faint aroma of the food provoked Meredith's empty stomach.

She was really hungry.

"Come and eat something."

Derek called her over, and her expression was still cold.

Meredith walked over and saw that the dishes he ordered were still the ones she liked, and in order to

take care of her appetite, he ordered a very light soup.

Would such a man not like her?

Meredith had always believed that love could be expressed through actions, so she said nothing more.

Perhaps, Derek had been too busy and tired recently, so he didn't want to express anything.

Meredith sat down and ate slowly. She ate elegantly. Derek watched her eat, and a sense of happiness

was slowly emerging in his heart.

He didn't even notice that he was fully attracted by watching a woman eating something.

It was Meredith who found Derek staring at her with full attention, so focused that she felt embarrassed,

"What? Is there something on my face?"

Only then did Derek realize what was wrong and coughed lightly to cover up his embarrassment. "Yes,

you ate so poorly that you even had food on your face."

Meredith was stunned and her face blushed. Did she really be that careless and leave something on RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

her face?

So, she rubbed her hand around the corner of her mouth and found nothing wrong. Just as she was

wondering, Derek came over and pretended to take a grain of rice off her face, "You silly girl!"

Meredith looked at Derek a little unconvinced. "I think there was nothing on my face. Are you looking

for an excuse to take advantage of me?"

Derek's attention was exposed, and an awkward look flashed in his eyes. "You think too much, and I

wonder how you can eat your food to your face. Won't you order something for yourself here?"

"I was waiting for you. I was always waiting for you and fell asleep when I was a little tired. Shouldn't I

blame you?"

Meredith tilted her head and looked at Derek, said directly.

Derek snorted. "Should I be responsible for everything? It's time for you to be independent."

Meredith felt a little uncomfortable when she heard this. Was that why Derek had been cold to her

recently?

After thinking about it, Meredith reflected on herself. It seemed that she had really done nothing since

she left the Xavier Group. She was also disturbed by Ava when she went to apply for a job, and then

she stayed at home. It seemed that she was really disconnected from the busy society now.

After thinking for a while, she swallowed the food in her mouth and wiped the corners of her mouth. "I

see. You think I'm too dependent because I've been idle at home lately and do nothing?"

"Then when I have a baby, I will go out to work. My mom is also thinking about how to revive the

Masons. I won't be decadent for long. You have to give me some time."

Derek did not expect Meredith to say that. He thought that Meredith would be angry and want to leave

immediately after hearing his words, but what she said really surprised him.

"Are you going to take over the Masons again?"

Nowadays, The Masons was not a cash cow now, because all kinds of internal and external troubles

had torn it off. Ordinary people would never mix themselves with such muddy water.

"Of course, the Masons business is my mother's hard work. How can I just give up?"
