The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 111

Chapter 111

Derek sent Meredith home and went back to work.

Meredith turned on her phone and flipped through the good and cheap restaurants she used to go to.

In the past, she was a carefree foodie. She liked to look for delicious food everywhere.

Looking at the content on the phone, Meredith smiled bitterly.

Unfortunately, she had already been completely changed by harsh reality.

However, Meredith soon found a good restaurant and looked at the menu online. She carefully planed

what Derek and she would eat.

...

The day passed quickly.

Derek got off work and went straight to Meredith's place.

Meredith had already booked the restaurant and sent him the address. They drove straight to that

place.

Along the way, Derek was in a good mood.

They quickly arrived at the place, which was a small restaurant.

Derek could not help but frown as he looked at the restaurant. He seldom came to such a place.

Meredith smiled as she noticed his expression. "Don't worry. This place is small, but it's quite clean. I'm

sure it won't cause you any problems."

Derek nodded and followed Meredith inside.

Looking at the familiar little restaurant, Meredith recalled the past.

Her high school was not far from here. Every time she was hungry after evening self-study, Julius

would bring her here to eat some snacks to soothe their tired body.

Those memories were far away from her, but they were still so precious.

From her eyes, Derek knew that she was recalling and did not interrupt her.

"What would you like to order?"

At this time, the proprietress came over and saw Meredith. She was a little surprised. "Are you the little

girl who used to come here to eat?"

Meredith was very pretty. She was the high school belle, and many boys would come over to please

her when she was eating here. At that time, the boss joked that Meredith was a living sign of their

restaurant.

Meredith was a little surprised. She hadn't been here for three years. She didn't expect the proprietress

to know her.

She nodded. "It's me. It's been a long time."

The proprietress talked with Meredith for a while, and then, her eyes fell on Derek. When she saw the

man's dignified appearance and his overpriced suit, she couldn't help patting Meredith on the shoulder.

"Good! You're so lucky to have such a promising young boyfriend."

Meredith was embarrassed for a moment. Boyfriend? Although they were indeed married before, it was

not what she just imagined.

"We..."

Just as Meredith was about to explain, Derek interrupted her. "Madame, could you recommend some

signature dishes in the restaurant?"

Meredith's explanation came to an abrupt end.

The proprietress immediately recommended the signature dishes. Derek nodded. "That's it. And then. I

want some fresh vegetables and soup. Please make them lighter."

"Okay." The proprietress replied crisply. Before she left, she whispered in Meredith's ear. "Your

boyfriend looks really good. You must keep a tight hold on him. There must be a lot of girls who like

such a man."

Meredith nodded in embarrassment as she watched the proprietress leave.

Of course, Derek was the target of thousands of girls, but she... Who was she to keep an eye on him?

Derek did not know what Meredith was thinking. He looked at the decoration of the restaurant. As

Meredith said, although it was very small, it gave people a feeling that it was well-equipped, clean, and

warm.

"Why did you want to come here?"

Derek thought that there must be some memories of Meredith here, so he couldn't help but ask.

Meredith pointed to a school not far away. "I studied there. I often came here to eat."

Derek nodded when looking at Meredith's bright eyes. When she mentioned the past, her whole body

was coated with a bright light.

Unknowingly, his eyes softened, and he was relieved when he heard what Meredith said.

Soon, the proprietress served the dishes. Apart from the dishes they ordered, there were a few side

dishes that the proprietress made herself. Although not expensive, they were very exquisite.

Meredith lowered her head to eat a few mouthfuls. And then she thought that this meal was to thank

Derek, so it didn't seem appropriate for her to eat first.

Therefore, she subconsciously used her chopsticks to pick up the braised meat for him. She

remembered that it was the best. But when she brought her chopsticks back, she realized that she

used her own chopsticks, which might have been stained with her saliva...

Meredith blushed involuntarily. She was a little anxious and was about to apologize when Derek ate the

meat she had picked up as if nothing had happened.

Meredith remembered the maids in the Xaviers told her that Derek had a clean fetish and that he would

throw away anything that was touched by others. He didn't expect him to give her face and eat the

meat.

Meredith blushed even more at the thought that it might be an indirect kiss.

They had done even more intimate things, but such a trivial detail could make her spark again.

"What?" Derek ate the food that Meredith had picked up to him. It tasted pretty good. It wasn't exquisite

and posh like the food in the five-star hotel, but it made people feel warm as if it was cooked at home.

He did not hate this feeling. On the contrary, he liked it. Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

"No... Nothing." Meredith hurriedly lowered her head, not wanting him to see her burning face, which

might be as red as a tomato by now.

It was a warm and harmonious meal. There was even an ambiguous atmosphere in the air.

Meredith went to pay the bill. And the proprietress talked with her again and taught her some skills to

hold on tightly to a man. Meredith could not wait to get into the ground after hearing those.

Derek was waiting for her to come back and planning to send her back. He didn't expect his phone to

ring.

It was Chloe. "Derek, I came back early. I'm at the airport now."

Derek looked at his watch. It was a lot later than the agreed time Chloe said. So, now the time

conflicted.

"Why did you come back early?"

Derek was a little unhappy because she disrupted his plans.

"Aren't you happy? I... I'm anxious to come back. I want to see you."

Chloe's heart ached when she heard the coldness in his words. In days gone by, Derek would come to

pick her up without saying anything, but now he seemed very unhappy.

However, no matter how dissatisfied she was, she couldn't say it now. "Derek, you promised to pick me

up."
