I want the Luxton Empire
Nina shrugged off Madison’s arms and stepped away from her.
“I asked you to stop. Didn’t you hear me?” Madison tried to block Nina again.
Nina raised an eyebrow, her tone cool and composed. “Why should I listen to you? Are we familiar?”
A contemptuous sneer escaped Madison’s soft lips when she heard her words. “Heh. Are you feigning ignorance because you’re afraid to confront me?”
“Move,” Nina replied harshly. Uninterested in engaging in a pointless conversation with her, she walked away.
“What will it take for you to leave, Jayden? You can name any condition.” Madison’s voice suddenly echoed from behind, making Nina halt in her tracks.
Nina stopped where she was and slowly turned around, her eyes squinting slightly. “Can you give me anything I ask?”
Seeing that she was finally tempted, Madison couldn’t help but smirk.
“Yes, as long as you agree to leave him, I’ll fulfill all of your conditions,” she declared confidently, not masking the disdain in her eyes.
“Is five million enough? In addition to the money, I can transfer a car and a two-bedroom apartment to your name.”
“I also recall that you’re just an intern at Elysium Couture. With my connections, I can offer you a permanent position in the company?” she proposed.
“Tsk. You’re quite generous.” Nina looked as though she was considering it seriously.
“Isn’t that so? If I were in your position, I wouldn’t reject such a good deal.”
Nina’s amber eyes looked at her lazily as she spoke. “Since you’ve said so, there’s something I want.”
“What is it?”
“I want the Luxton Corporation.”
Madison’s eyes widened in shock, and then she burst into a fit of laughter. “Luxton Corporation? Don’t dream too far. You’re not even close to being worthy of entering the family”
Nina’s expression remained stoic, her gaze locking with Madison’s in a quiet challenge.
“Why not? Have you perhaps forgotten my current identity? I am Mrs. Nina Luxton. As Jayden’s ‘legal’ wife, I am entitled to a 50% share of my husband’s assets.” She paused for a moment, letting the weight of her words sink in before continuing, “You remember Jayden’s net worth, right?”
Jayden Luxton. One of the youngest billionaires to top the rankings of Forbes. A man whose wealth and power could rival a small country.
“Besides,” Nina added, her stance unwavering, “I can always raise my demands during our divorce settlement. Taking all of this into account, do I still need to hear about your cheap deals?”
Her tone turned disdainful as she scoffed at Madison’s terms. “Five million? A car? An apartment? Even the workers at Meadow Residence have greater benefits than you offered. Are you sure you’re not chasing a beggar away after showing off that pitiful money of yours?”
Madison’s face turned pale, and she glared at her loathing.
As the daughter of an influential family, Madison has been used to people currying favor with her. Doted on by her parents and Jayden, alike, she never suffered any grievances.
When has someone ever trampled on her before?
Nina stared at the woman’s flushed face, not taking her seriously. As Jayden’s wife, she held her power, and Madison’s attempts to buy her off were laughable.
“What’s wrong? Don’t tell me you haven’t thought about it before. You want me to leave a mountain of gold for a bowl of coins?” She questioned, tilting her head to the side.
“Yes, but if it’s about the entire Luxton Corporation, I might consider your offer.”
Madison’s arrogance was no match for Nina’s wit.
She stood there speechless, realizing she was up against someone who could play the game even better than her.
She tried to regain her composure and let out a haughty sneer. “Do you think I can hand over the Luxton Corporation to you just because you demand it? Not any Tom, Dick, or Harry can be the Madam of the Luxton empire. If not for your face, do you think Jayden would even spare another glance at you?”
Nina retorted, “So what? No matter how much you bark in front of me, you can’t change the fact that I’m married to him.”
“Also, I remember Jayden warning you not to interfere in his business.” Nina paused for a moment and pointed her finger at her head. “What? Is there something wrong with you up here?”
Madison’s expression twisted with anger. “You’re being smug right now because LJ has taken a fancy to you. Do you think your happiness can still last once he’s tired of you? I suggest you look at your status before making any demands in front of me. The Luxton family will never tolerate trash like you. Just watch. It’s only a matter of time before he dumps you.”
In Madison’s eyes, it had to be Nina who used her good looks and seductive charm to lure Jayden into marriage. Fuelled by jealousy and denial, her mind was consumed with thoughts of confronting Nina and putting her in her place.
As the head of the Luxton empire, Jayden had countless women vying for his attention in the past. Madison always took care of these people and didn’t even allow any flies around him.
This time too, she was confident that with her status and threats, Nina would accede and willingly divorce him.
But much to her dismay, Nina remained unperturbed by her threats. Instead, she boldly delivered a slap in her face until she was rendered speechless.
Nina’s eyes flashed with impatience, “Miss, I advise you to tell this to Jayden himself. Let’s do this. If you can persuade him to leave me, I’d be grateful to you. But if you can’t, please just fuck off and don’t bother me again.”
“What right do you-” Madison was about to retort, but Nina cut her off.
“What right do I have?” Nina’s voice grew stronger. “Let me ask you, what right do you have to comment on our marriage? I don’t understand why you’re so upset about it. You’re not his mom or dad. You’re at most a niece from a side branch of his family. Do you think your prejudice can influence his decision?”
“Or is it because…” Nina’s voice trailed off as she watched all color drain from Madison’s face.
After a long pause, she announced. “You like him, don’t you?”
Madison grew alarmed, as though someone had exposed her thoughts. “It-It’s none of your business.” She stammered, her face alternating between a mix of panic and shame.
The men in the Luxton family were all playboys who changed women as often as their clothes, creating a scandalous legacy.
However, Jayden was the only rare exception.
Having witnessed his father’s adulterous life, Jayden vowed to never become a person like William Luxton.
Jayden’s private life was as clean as a hound’s tooth, a stark contrast to his father’s tumultuous affairs. He was emotionally detached, rarely allowing his emotions to cloud his judgment. His sole focus was to take the Luxton empire to greater heights and dedicated all his time and energy to the business. With such outstanding qualities, no woman could resist getting closer to him.
And she was no exceptional!
However, Jayden was loyal to the core. Once he chose someone, he remained committed.
So imagine the shock when Jayden announced his marriage. Madison, among others, couldn’t believe that Jayden had fallen for someone, or rather, she refused to accept this reality.
Initially, Nina was only testing her. But she did not expect the latter to have such a huge reaction.
“Tsk. You’re so shameless. That’s your uncle!” Nina mocked.
“Stop!” Madison screamed and lifted her palm, sending a hard slap on Nina’s face.
However, Nina swiftly caught her wrist halfway. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
“I’ll tell you this one last time. I don’t have a good temper. If you come provoking me again, don’t blame me for being rude to you.”
She did not have the patience to play these childish games with Madison and decided to end things once and for all.
It would be better if this little missy could learn her lesson. If not, she did not mind taking things the hard way.
With that, she jerked off her hand, causing Madison to fall to the ground in a very sorry state.

In a gloomy mood, Nina had just exited the campus when her eyes landed on a familiar figure at the entrance. Her expression worsened when she recognized who it was.
“Nina,” Mr. Santiago called out, looking extremely haggard, as if he hadn’t slept well for days. Upon seeing Nina, he felt like he had met his savior.
Unfortunately, the latter had no intention of entertaining him and briskly walked past.
Mr. Santiago walked up to her, blocking her path.
“Nina, can you let our family off?” he asked cautiously, his tone almost pleading.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” The woman’s expression remained cold.
“You know!” Mr. Santiago shouted in indignation.
The past few days had taken a toll on him, leaving him anxious and he could no longer keep his cool. “You know damn well what I’m talking about. Ever since you refused the investor’s request, the man had been suppressing our family. Earlier, the business was barely surviving by a thread, but now we’ve reached a dead end. Just who have you offended?”
Because they had taken the investor’s money, they were left with a daunting choice – send Nina to the investor’s bed or return the money. Returning the money was impossible since they had already invested every penny. The only option left was to capture Nina and deliver her to him.
However, after cutting ties with them, it was as though Nina had disappeared into thin air. The entire family searched for her, but not a single trace could be found.
They only knew that she attended IDU, but the campus was vast and well-secured. Moreover, they had no access to Nina’s schedule. Occasionally, a few of them would take turns waiting outside the university, hoping for a stroke of luck.
Finally, after a long wait, he managed to stop her.
“There’s no point in looking for me; you are just receiving karma. Besides, I’m not that capable,” Nina stated matter-of-factly.
This bitch!
Frustration washed over Mr. Santiago’s face as he realized his plans to coerce Nina into submission failed.
Why didn’t he know this damned woman was so difficult to deal with in the past?
“Stop lying. Alyson has already told me everything. Do you think you can behave audaciously just because you’ve got a backer? I’m telling you I don’t care what you do outside, but stop causing trouble for our family.”
Nina clicked her tongue dismissively. “Tsk. Did Alyson really tell you that?”
