Bryan walked past his mum and Lora’s mum and made his way into the ward.

The nurse tending to Lora left the room with a metal tray in her hands soon after Bryan entered..

Arya snorted in disdain and anger as she watched Kyle and Charlotte practice swordfighting just below her window..

In as much as she wanted to look away and slam her window close, she couldn’t bring herself to do it, Kyle was behaving rather strange by acting all lovey dovey with Charlotte..

She was afraid the latter might take this as a chance to get closer to him and she was right! almost immediately Charlotte tripped and was about to fall..

She felt someone brushed past her and was startled to see Ray trying to take a look out of the window..

“Ray? when did you come in?”

“I called out to you but you didn’t respond”

Arya pouted and turned back to the window, it’s been almost a minute why were they still staring at each other that way and in the same position?

Ray took a look out of the window before looking up to Arya, he finally understood everything, he wrapped his hands around her legs with a reassuring smile..

“Don’t worry Arya.. I won’t let her get close to daddy anymore okay?”

Arya nodded with a wide grin, since Charlotte couldn’t stay away from Kyle.. maybe it’s high time she gets into action..

She crotched down to Ray’s height “Hey baby.. how about we mess with her a little bit?”

Chloe gasped in surprise staring at her phone’s screen, she tugged Sam’s shirt continuously until the latter gave her his full attention..

“What’s up?”

“Bryan proposed to his ex girlfriend and they’re also expecting a child” She murmured, she had honestly thought Lora was only bluffing about her pregnancy the previous day..

Sam shrugged with a nod, that news was still circulating online why was she just finding out about it now?

“Yeah it was released last night.. aren’t you happy for him? he’s your friend right?”

He stared at her meaningfully trying to read her expression, he noticed the slight change in her demeanor before it was masked up with a smile..

“Well I guess so”

She couldn’t help but wince silently when she felt a tug in her heart, well their contract relationship didn’t go through quite well, and he decided to go for his ex..

Well this made sense to her, that explains why Lora was pregnant, so this clearly meant that he was still seeing Lora even after he signed an agreement with her..

She snapped out of her daze and stared at him with an arched brow “Yes?”

“Jeez! what were you thinking about?”

Chloe chuckled and brushed off his question with a shrug..

“Nothing much.. I’m relieved that he’d finally settle down and also his days of sleeping around would be put to an end”

Sam rolled his eyes and walked away from leaving her to her own thoughts..

Charlotte stepped out of the shower, she was all smiles, after two hours of sword practice with Kyle, she felt much more alive..

She casually walked to the mirror, her eyes rounded in shock when she spotted a few red spots on her face..

She took a seat in front of the mirror staring at the spots closely..

“An irritation! jeez!”

The red spots were very bad up close, if Kyle sees this he might be a little bit embarrassed to take her to the movies tonight just like they had planned..

“Well there’s nothing makeup can’t fix” she said with a little shrug..

Arya pointed at something in Ray’s book, she took a glance at Kyle who was leisurely sitting on the couch going through his laptop..

She looked towards the stairs and wondered why Charlotte hasn’t come down yet and almost immediately a loud shriek enveloped the whole building..

Kyle creased his brows, he stood up to his feet on hearing the sounds of fast footstep rushing down the stairs..

Charlotte stepped into the living room which left their jaws dropping..

Arya and Ray muffled their laughter as they stared at Charlotte’s irritated face..

“Charlotte? what happened to your face?” Kyle asked worriedly..

Charlotte raised the small mirror to her face almost in tears, she had thought applying a little bit of makeup would hide the irritation but it only got worse!..

“I have no idea!” She squeaked.

She heard a small chuckle coming from the other end of the room which clearly belonged to Ray..

Her jaw clenched on seeing Arya’s mocking smirk, it was obvious this had something to do with her..

She pointed a finger at Arya accusingly “I’m sure it was her! she’s the reason for it!”

Kyle rolled his eyes at her accusations, he knew she was irritated by whatever was happening to her face but that doesn’t mean she could accuse anyone..

“Come on Charlotte don’t be ridiculous.. I’m sure this must be an allergic reaction to something you ate.. Naomi.. call a doctor over”

Arya nodded and pulled out her phone, she watched Kyle lead Charlotte back up and just when he was on the last step leading down, he turned back to her with a meaningful look..

Arya was lost for a while, his demeanor seemed different, there was something about his stare that made her suspicious..

That was the same look he gave her this morning after he regained his consciousness..

Chad couldn’t contain his laughter when he saw Charlotte’s face, she looked hideous, however the smile disappeared on seeing Kyle’s stoic face..

He cleared his throat “Well.. umm.. we need to run some test on you.. come over to the hospital”

Charlotte’s face scrunched, she didn’t trust this man one bit, after learning that he was in cohorts with Naomi..
