Chapter 1939

Chapter 1939

As soon as he finished speaking, Dorian seamlessly slipped into his performance mode and kicked off his solo show.

From a very young age, Dorian had a deep love for the stage, a passion paired with a talent that set him apart from his peers. Wherever he was, the moment he began to perform, the world around him transformed into his stage.

Meanwhile, Thalassa glanced at the wardrobe Dorian had theatrically opened and closed as part of his act. As Dorian's performance unfolded, everyone was drawn into the captivating world he created.

After delivering a riveting monologue, Dorian dropped his character and, with a bright smile, asked, "Mom, Dad, what did you think?"

Thalassa, momentarily lost in the performance, burst into applause, "Incredible, absolutely incredible!" Lysander snapped back to reality and joined in the applause. Fitch, too, wanted to applaud but realized his hands were full. Quickly setting his load down, he clapped enthusiastically, a warm smile on his face.

The adults led the applause, with Atticus starting off, prompting the kids to join in. Soon, applause filled the entire room. Dorian, his face beaming with joy and a brilliant smile, revealed a gap in his teeth.

Thalassa, ever observant, noticed, "Wait, Dorian, let me see."

She hurried over and had him open his mouth wide for inspection. A canine was missing, and so was one of his front teeth!

"Dorian, did you lose a tooth?" Thalassa asked, concern painting her features.

With a reassuring smile, Dorian replied, "Mom, I'm just shedding my baby teeth, don't worry."

"Yeah, Mom, we're all losing teeth. Look at me, I've lost two molars; eating has been quite the challenge," chimed in Elowen, eagerly showing Thalassa the gaps in her own smile.

"And I've lost three of my bottom teeth," added Sophia, sharing her own dental dilemmas.

It was then that Thalassa realized

she had missed three years of her children's lives. She had missed more than just their physical growth; she had missed these small yet significant, changes as well.

Mixed feelings of sorrow for the lost time and joy for their growth welled up inside her. She hadn't been there to watch them grow, but they were thriving, each milestone reached without her.

Holding back tears, Thalassa nodded, "Okay, my darlings are growing up. Losing baby teeth. means your permanent teeth are

"Mom, I've lost a molar, and there are so many things I can't eat," lamented Elowen, the little foodie, troubled by the inconvenience.

"Don't worry, they'll grow back soon, and then you can enjoy even more treats," Thalassa comforted, patting Elowen's head gently.

"Mom, did you bring something back for me too?" Elowen looked up at Thalassa with hopeful eyes.

Only then did Thalassa realize she hadn't finished giving out the gifts.

"Of course, I did..." she began. She looked towards Fitch, who quickly brought over the remaining presents.
