The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet

Chapter 1913

She never thought she visited him out of pity or sympathy for his misfortunes.

Thalassa could feel the anger radiating off Lysander, but unlike the chilling fury from three years ago that would make one's blood run cold, this was more like a normal man's frustration mixed with a touch of grievance and reproach.

It was a genuine reproach directed at Thalassa's intentions, without any other emotions involved.Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.

Staring at his handsome face, just inches away, Thalassa nervously explained, "Hehe, I did come, didn't I? And you're still the father of my children, aren't you?"

That was a close call. If she hadn't gone that time, her kids might have ended up with a stepmom by now.

Seeing her own kids wouldn't be that easy for her, their mother.

Mentioning the kids, some of the sharpness in Lysander's aura dissipated, and he loosened the grip on her chin, "At least you have some conscience. Saturday is coming up; are you ready?"

"Mhm, I've been preparing all of Elowen's favorite foods, and I've bought clothes and toys that I think the kids will love." Thalassa's eyes sparkled at the thought of seeing her children on Saturday.

"Mm," Lysander grunted, his gaze deep and focused ahead.

Upon returning to Royal Estates, Lysander headed to his study and called David, "I need you to dig into the bombing of Thalassa's family home three years ago. Don't miss a single detail."

Alaric slept through the night, his head heavy and his nose congested.

In those few hours, he had numerous nightmares, all of them terrifying, fighting to break free.

The biggest nightmare was Georgia.

In his dreams, Georgia was a demon, relentlessly haunting him. No matter how he tried to escape, he couldn't shake off Georgia's grasp.

Georgia's claws tore through him, leaving him barely alive, yet still unwilling to let him go.

Struggling to crawl away from Georgia's clutches, he reached out to Hertha for help.

Alaric sighed, relieved it was just a nightmare.

Sitting up, he realized his whole body was drenched in sweat.

Sticky and uncomfortable, he decided to take a shower.

Leaving his room, he saw a figure curled up on the living room sofa.

It was Hertha, asleep in an uneasy ball, hugging herself.

Alaric sighed, thinking how she intended to take care of him but couldn't even manage herself.

He grabbed a blanket and gently covered Hertha with it.

She could easily catch a cold, sleeping uncovered like that.

After making sure Hertha was covered, Alaric went to the bathroom for a shower.

Deep in sleep, Hertha turned, and

She got up, intending to find Alaric.

Just then, the bathroom door opened.

Alaric stepped out, his body damp, shirtless, his lean muscles on full display.

Hertha's gaze collided with his, and her blood raced, "Alaric!"
