“My blood pressure is rising, Tangi. That girl has the nerve to come here! Rozzean’s venom, oh my, that girl with long hair, she’s really into him. I just hope she won’t come back, or she’ll end up bald for sure!”
I was just looking at Thes while she kept on talking. Rozzean and Luther have left again because they had something to attend to in the office. The two of them didn’t stay long after the argument. I told Rozzean that I’m fine, and Thes is with me, so she doesn’t need to worry.
But from what I can see, I should be watching Thes because her face is still angry. Her emotions are up and down because of the clash we had with Klari earlier.
“Take a deep breath,” I said and got a glass of cold water, “drink some water to calm down too.”
Manang, who is beside Thes, just looked at us. She seems concerned too. Earlier, I knew she was scared when I slapped Klari a few times. She wanted to stop me, but in my anger, I knew even if she tried to stop me, I wouldn’t have listened.
That’s what I wanted to do, I wasn’t just carried away by anger when I slapped Klari a few times. She deserved it. What kind of desperate woman enters the room of a guy she likes and steals a kiss? Especially when you know that the guy already loves someone else. My vision really darkened when I saw Klari earlier.
“That girl better be ready, Tangi. If she comes back, she’ll go home without hair.”
I smiled at Thes. She’s really feisty. After a while, I invited Thes outside. I showed her Rozzean’s garden. As we walked in the spacious garden, she looked at the flowers there.
“Amazing, right? You really have similarities with your baby. You’re really meant to be. Also, think about it, Tangi, it didn’t take long for your struggles to bring you back to each other. I thought there was no hope when that Klari showed up, but luckily, Rozzean wasn’t interested in her.”
I held and looked at the roses while talking to Thes. She was now sitting not far from me. I walked towards her and sat beside her. The weather wasn’t too hot, so we could stay here for a while. The breeze was cool too.
“Rozzean got into taking care of plants because of their eldest sibling, Aloncious. Aloncious is no longer here. This garden is also a memory of his sibling, Thes, so he takes extra care of it. However, he neglected it, so some plants dried up and died,” I explained.
Thes nodded and leaned on the table.
“It’s sad that they lost a sibling. Does that mean it’s just him and Luther now?”
“Yes, and the child who calls Rozzean ‘Daddy’ is the son of their eldest. Rozzean took care of him when he was a baby and is recognized as his father. I used to think he was Rozzean’s child from another woman.”
But even if he were Rozzean’s child, I would still accept him. I already love Rozzean so much; finding out he has a child wouldn’t change that. Besides, Taki is so adorable. It’s also heartwarming that he calls me Mommy. I didn’t expect that he would see and treat me as his mother.
Thes and I stayed at Rozzean’s house for a few hours. We had lunch there. Thes mentioned that Rozzean’s house is quite big and can easily accommodate ten kids. If only it were that easy, right?
We toured the beautiful spots in Tagaytay. I also informed Rozzean, and she quickly replied. I refrained from messaging her again after she told me to take care, as she might be in a meeting and I might disturb her.
“Haaa… I feel like I want to live here. It’s so beautiful, Tangi.”
I looked at Thes. We were at Picnic Grove. Thes also likes places with trees and mountains, so I brought her here, knowing she would enjoy it.
“But it’s not possible because of my businesses. And when Mommy and my sister need me, I can’t immediately go because Tagaytay is far from them.”
I adjusted my seat upon hearing Thes. Until now, she’s still thinking about her Mommy and sibling. They don’t treat her well.
“Thes, you can still manage your businesses even if you live here. Go wherever you think you’ll find peace of mind for now. Knowing you, I can tell you’re really stressed. You have so many businesses, as if you think you’ll run out of money all the time.”
The truth is, She comes from a wealthy family; she doesn’t need to establish so many businesses. Her father also has his own company, and I believe Thes has a share in that company. But she followed what her mother wanted: to establish various businesses. I think she didn’t do it just because her mother told her to but to divert her attention.
Thes wanted to be a famous international model. That was her dream. She could have achieved that dream if her sister hadn’t intervened and caused trouble. They both shared the same dream of becoming a famous model, but Thes’s sisiter Caitlyn is selfish and envious.
And Thes is generous, so she gave way. The brands that used to hire her now have her sibling as the model, all because of her mother.
“Thank you, Tangi. I’m planning to buy a house here, but I probably won’t live here for good. I just want to have a place to stay when I want a vacation.”
Suddenly, I remembered Klari’s house.
“I bought a house earlier in the same village as Rozzean’s.”
Thes raised her eyebrows at me. When I told her that it was Klari’s house and what I did earlier, she burst into laughter. We talked about a lot of things that happened-how I cried back then. She even told me that I would go back to Rozzean, and she had a lot of effort to advise me.
But she’s happy, and I can see that. Several times, she expressed how happy she is that Rozzean and I are finally together and clarified things. She’s also happy when I told her that I’m getting married.
“So, let’s talk about what happened on the yacht. It’s impossible that nothing happened during your week of staying, Tangi.”
I widened my eyes. There are people at the nearby table. I sighed at her. I know where this conversation is going.
“Probably something happened, but can we not talk about it here? There are a lot of people, Thes.”
She looked around. Thes lifted her seat and moved closer to me.
“Okay, tell me. I’m listening. I’m close to you; just whisper. I want to know what happened on the yacht. Spill it.” I slapped my forehead because of what she said.
“Thes, stop, you’re really crazy,” I told her as I pushed her head away. Thes just kept laughing. We caught the attention of others, so the crazy girl went back to her original seat.
“Oh, not just once, right? Not just twice either? You’re really something, Tangi. Your glow is different. Tsk, when you’re watered, you’re glowing!”
I took a sip of water because of what she said. I shook my head as I lowered the glass. When I noticed that it’s almost five o’clock, I grabbed my cellphone. I didn’t realize the time. Thes and I talked about a lot of things.
“You are going to stay tonight, right?” I asked.
“Yes, I’ll go home tomorrow,” Thes said, also looking at her cellphone.
“Shall we go? Let’s go back home; Rozzean might be on her way home too.”
I messaged Rozzean that we’re leaving Picnic Grove. She didn’t respond even after a minute had passed. She was so quick to reply earlier. Maybe she’s already driving home.
“Can we stay for 30 minutes more, Tangi? I’m loving the view. It’s getting more beautiful as it gets darker,” Thes said.
I nodded in agreement, so I messaged Rozzean again that we’ll stay for an additional 30 minutes. After five minutes with no response from Rozzean, I called her.
“Hmmm…”
My fingers couldn’t stay still on the table. Thes noticed it.
“Why?”
I looked at her, then shifted my gaze down to my cellphone. I sent another message to Rozzean. I must have sent around five messages and three missed calls. He’s not responding. It’s already 5:30. It seems like he might be working overtime.
I thought he would come home early.
“Rozzean is not answering my calls, and he’s not replying either. It looks like he’ll be working late tonight.”
“Oh, your baby is really busy.”
I sighed. It’s because Rozzean has been absent from his company for almost a month due to our situation. I know it’s partly my fault because of what happened between us. He lost focus on his work.
“I should have prepared him dinner and sent it to him. He might eat late.”
“Then, let’s go? Do you know the location of her company? I will drive.”
I smiled at Thes and nodded.
“I know.”
We left Picnic Grove, and I bought food for Rozzean. When Thes and I got into her car, it was already dark. It was already six o’clock. I tried calling Rozzean again, but he still wasn’t answering. I left a message saying that I’m on my way to his company to bring him food. I also mentioned in the message that Thes is with me, and she’s the one driving.
I looked out the window. I didn’t realize it had gotten dark because I had been staring at my cellphone for so long. I was waiting for Rozzean’s message. I scrolled through social media and saw that it’s already 6:30 pm.
I sighed and tried calling him again, but I still couldn’t reach him.
“He’s really busy.”
I saw Thes glance at me for a moment from the corner of my eye.
“That’s how CEOs are. Dad’s also like that, Tangi. He rarely comes home for dinner.”
I nodded; I also saw how busy Rozzean became with his work, even working on Saturdays and Sundays.
I lowered my cellphone and looked out the window again. My eyebrows furrowed when I saw the road we were taking. I glanced back when I noticed that the route was different, and it wasn’t heading towards Rozzean’s company.
“Thes? I think you’re going the wrong way,” I told her.
I also opened the map.
“Wrong? But we’re already here.”
I looked at her. She’s smiling. She stopped her car, and I looked outside. There were many lights, and what caught my attention were the beautiful flowers illuminated by fairy lights.
“Wow…”
“Let’s go, Tangi!”
Thes got out of the car. I was confused because Rozzean’s company is not here.
“Wait! Thes!” I said and quickly got out. I even left the food I bought because I hurriedly followed Thes.
As I walked, I looked around. The place was so beautiful! There were many flowers, and there were also a lot of lights! They were lanterns that brought light to see the beautiful trees. They were light curtains. I couldn’t explain the beauty of the place.

My friend disappeared from my sight, so I followed the light in front of me. There were also red roses on the side.
“So beautiful…”
I just looked at the sides, at the lights while walking. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. The flowers are wonderful, the lights are magnificent! As I walked, I saw something at the end where the lights I was following led.
I covered my mouth when I saw who it was.
“O-Oh God…”
I can’t believe this.
Rozzean is looking at me. He’s smiling… He’s holding a bouquet of red roses!
