Chapter 9
Chase’s Point Of View.
“Really, Chase?! I’m a grandfather now?!” dad shouted with a smile because I said I was already a father. “Really? Tell me you’re not joking because I’ll really punch you!”
My lips twisted. “Yeah,” I answered. “I have twins, they’re five years old.”
“What?!” mom shouted. “Why did you just tell us that now, Chase?!” she said angrily, frowning and looking at me evilly so I laughed.
“He just found out lately, mommy,” replied Celine, she was at the door with her arms crossed while looking at us. “Maybe that’s his karma for being a womanizer all his life, his children were hidden from him for five years,” she added causing me to look at her badly.
“How did that happen?” dad asked, frowning.
“She’s a prostitute,” I said simply. “She has my children now.”
“What?! A prostitute?! What the hell, Chase! What are you doing with your life?!” Mom shouted angrily, I know she is really angry because based on the way she looks, it seems like she wants to throw her coffee cup in my face.
I’ll just avoid it so Celine gets hit.
“It’s so hard to explain, mom. But I got her pregnant and according to my twins, when she found out she was pregnant she went abroad,” I explained in simple words. “At least you have a grandchild.”
“But from a woman who sold her body?! What will my friends say, Chase?” Mom said annoyed, she drank some coffee before giving me another bad look.
“It’s okay, mom. It’s obvious that those kids are from me,” I answered.
“I want to see them, bring them here, Chase. And bring the prostitute you say,” said dad and I just nodded before leaving their room.
“You’re a father now, get your life in order,” Celine said angrily as I left their father’s room at the same time. “If you are not a dad, you are not ashamed to make trouble, now that you have children, you should be ashamed of them,” she added seriously and looked at me.
“I know you still haven’t moved on from her, but bullshit, Chase. It’s been a few years and maybe she found someone new, so forget about her,” she said and walked away from their room first dad
I didn’t say a word and just watched her walk away. What the hell did she say?
I know that I have committed many sins and troubles, I always made mom and dad’s head hurt, I remembered when I received a slap from dad when I made mom cry because she was so worried about me.
A lot changed when the first girl I loved so much left.
I started dating more than two girls and Celine always scolded me for that, especially when I was always hanging out in bars. I almost ruined my life because of that. I almost ruined my life for a girl.
But when dad said that I won’t be the one to inherit the company if I don’t change my lifestyle, I quickly got scared and started to get a new life.
Well, I still often have women and alcohol but not like before because my name is now branded in the company and I have a name to taken care of.
Maybe, I haven’t completely changed yet, but I’m trying and I’m forgetting about her.
I sighed heavily, I couldn’t believe what Celine said affected me. Maybe it’s because she mentioned the first girl I loved besides mom.
Damn, I’m so fucked up.
Amelia’s Point Of View.
“Really, dad?! You bought me a car and a condo?!” I said in disbelief as I looked at dad.
Dad smiled and nodded. “Yes, you can go there later,” he said.
“But why dad? Don’t you want Caleb and I to be here at the mansion?” I asked.
“Oh no no no, not really. I realized that you should have your own house because your children are growing up, Amelia,” he said. “That will be difficult for you especially since you are the only one supporting your family.”
“But I can’t believe you spent money on my family, dad,” I said. “Why? Is that because I’m not going to inherit the company anymore?” I added and he quickly shook his head.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
“Of course not!” he said quickly. “That’s for my grandchildren,” he added. “I know you’re hurting because you won’t be the one to inherit the company, so right now I’m telling you to accept that you won’t be the one to inherit it.”
Dad and I talked for a few minutes before I left his office. When I got out, I saw Cecelia walking towards dad’s office.
“Is it really hard to be a single mom? And you’re going to depend on your dad for your house and car?” she said seriously while looking at me with raised eyebrows.
