The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 432

Chapter 432

Allison hit the set. She did a few reshoots, and then headed back to the office. She was almost done filming this drama.

Patty hadn’t shown up yet, so Allison made her way to her dressing room.

Allison’s dressing room was fresh off a renovation, thanks to Epic Entertainment renting a three-story building.

Backed by the big bucks from Lindberg Corporation, Epic Entertainment had already sunk its teeth into 30 TV shows and 11 movies this year, with practically every production featuring their own talent. You could say Epic Entertainment was one of the big three in the entertainment biz with the most resources.

With seasoned agents like Patty and Charlie, for the talent signed here, they were swimming in resources. Worst-case scenario, they’d land some supporting roles and be constantly involved in new projects throughout the year.

Since the dressing room was just renovated, some of the facilities were still a bit rough around the edges, like not having a standalone fridge.

Lola asked Allison, “You thirsty? I can get you some water.”

“Mhm.” Allison murmured.

Lola took off, and five minutes later, Allison heard a knock at the door. Thinking it was Lola, she said, “Come in.”

Lola was usually a bundle of energy. Allison wondered why she was being so formal today, even knocking before entering her dressing

room.

She was lounging in her chair, reading with her head down. The window was open, and she heard the click-clack of high heels.

Allison pursed her lips slightly, and as she swiveled her chair around, she caught a whiff of strong rose perfume. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

In an instant, Allison knew it wasn’t Lola who’d come, but Charlie.

Sure enough, she turned around and saw Charlie standing not far away, decked in a black Prada trench coat.

Allison didn’t say anything, just closed her book and looked at Charlie. She didn’t get up either, seemingly waiting for Charlie to make the first move.

Charlie said, “Allison, do you have a moment? Can I chat with you?”

Allison glanced at her watch, “You’ve got 15 minutes.”

Charlie was surprised. Allison seemed gentle but was pretty good at giving people the brush-off. She cracked a smile, “15 minutes is a bit tight. There’s a café downstairs, how about we…”

Allison cut her off, “Patty will be here in 15 minutes.”

Charlie looked as if she’d been slapped in the face. Her complexion changed, not exactly ugly, just a bit off. The next second she said, “Alright, 15 minutes then.”

Charlie and Patty had both been at Epic Entertainment for over a decade. If Patty knew Charlie was trying to sign Allison, it would indeed be a bit awkward when they met,

Charlie pulled a folder out of her bag and handed it to Allison, “Even though you turned me down before, I’ve written a plan for you. Have a look. Also, here’s a Twitter follower boost strategy I had

drawn up for you.”

Allison raised an eyebrow and took a quick glance inside. The shows Charlie had planned for her all had a solid fan base from the original works, and her co-stars were all current top-tier celebrities.

Charlie wore a confident smile, “If you take on these shows, you’ll be the lead actress. Your popularity will skyrocket. In three years, you’ll be a top actress in the entertainment industry.”

Allison asked, “You made a similar plan for Penelope, didn’t you?”

Charlie looked a bit awkward, “That’s not important. You’re a better fit.”

Charlie admitted that the woman in front of her did bear a resemblance to Penelope in terms of appearance. But their personalities were worlds apart.

While Penelope had a bit of a temper, she was easy to manage. Allison, on the other hand, seemed gentle and refined, but was actually the type of great resilience.
