The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 421

Chapter 421

Allison jogged a short distance and arrived at a black Maybach car. She gently tapped on the car window, and the window rolled down, revealing the man’s face.

She opened the door, “What brought you here? Didn’t I text you that I was busy tonight…”

Stepping into the car, a warm gust enveloped her, and Allison instantly felt at ease. She buckled up and spotted a cup of coffee in the holder, “You bought this?” After taking a sip, she found it was black coffee.

Lucian started the car, the headlights flickering on, illuminating the road ahead. “Yeah, got it for Lucky.”

Looking at the coffee, Allison responded seriously, “Dogs don’t drink coffee, you know.”

Lucian chuckled softly, taken aback by her earnest response. He was about to tell her it was actually for her when she said, “Lucky can’t drink it. I guess I’ll have to finish it for him.”

The man said, “Don’t you celebs have to watch your figures?”

Taking a sip of her coffee, Allison asked earnestly, “Mr. Lindberg, are you implying I need to lose weight?”

The man tapped his fingers lightly on the steering wheel, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. “You’re perfect.”

“I haven’t asked you yet. Why are you here?”

Lucian, “I was in the neighborhood.”

Swirling her warm coffee in her hand, Allison asked, “And you just happened to get coffee?”

“Don’t you like it?”

“I do.” Allison took a satisfyingly large gulp.

“Anyone late on set today?”

Allison didn’t really want to get into it, “Ah, they should be there soon.”

Lucian, “I recall you were initially offered the female lead for this show. Why didn’t you take it?”

Allison’s eyelashes fluttered, “I didn’t think the lead role was right for me, but the supporting one suits me just fine.”

“Do you think Sadie is suitable for the lead role?”

Sadie was a drama school grad, and this was her first film. Her first gig with Epic Entertainment and she was the lead.

Allison, “I don’t know whether she’s suitable or not, but I knew it wasn’t right for me. A role has to fit, otherwise, it just comes off weird.”

She knew Lucian wouldn’t be pleased with her response. This man didn’t like his plans being refused. She had rejected the lead role that he assigned her and took a supporting one instead. How could he possibly be pleased?

So Allison replied with a smile, “But I’ve got you, my biggest sponsor. I’m not lacking in opportunities. As long as I’m with you, I’ll always have roles to play.”

That was what he wanted to hear. Sure enough, Allison saw a smile creep up on Lucian’s lips. He said, “I’ll have Patty arrange your upcoming roles.”

“Okay.”

He was domineering, but Allison obediently lowered her head. As long as there were resources invested in her, why would she refuse?

Lucian drove her to a restaurant. He had made a reservation in advance. As they entered, the waiter guided them upstairs. Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Kamilla’s voice rang out, “Lucian, you’re here too.”

Today was Kamilla’s good friend Ronald’s birthday. He had invited a few friends to celebrate at this popular restaurant. There were no private rooms, just a small hall upstairs with four tables, each seating eight. Ronald had booked the entire hall. However, due to the restaurant’s popularity, one table had already been reserved.

Ronald initially planned to bribe those guests to dine elsewhere so he could have the whole hall. But he hadn’t expected the reserved table to be taken by Lucian and… Penelope…wait, that woman wasn’t Penelope.
