Chapter 414
Chapter 414
Allison didn’t leave tonight. She opened her eyes in the middle of the night.
Looking at his prominent nose, she slowly reached out and touched his cheek. The next second, his hand gripped hers. Allison was taken aback. She thought she had woken him up. But a few seconds later, hearing his steady breathing, she realized that Lucian was still asleep. It was just a subconscious reaction.
Patty recently set up identity verification for Allison on various apps and required her to post a new photo every week.
Allison often used her Twitter account to sporadically share her opinions or post some scenic pictures. However, Epic Entertainment, in an effort to safeguard the privacy of its artists and prevent any inappropriate remarks made by them in the past, mandated that all accounts must undergo re– registration.
Before long, Allison had completed her role as the female lead in a TV series, and she was about to start shooting for her next one.
The next show was a teen campus drama directed by the renowned female director Cathy. Cathy’s previous directorial work, which was released on Valentine’s Day last year, became the box office champion with 1.26 billion yuan in earnings, breaking records for youth romance films.
Allison played a character named Olivia, a gentle and quiet pretty girl in high school. In the 120–minute film, she only had two minutes of screen time. She was a good friend of the female lead, Megan, and a catalyst for the romance between the male and female leads. Her scenes were concentrated, with a shooting period of about 10 days. Sometimes, Allison only had one scene in a day to accommodate Megan’s schedule.
This week, Allison didn’t see Cathy. The scenes involving her were directed by the assistant director, Conrad.
Conrad looked at the monitor, “Good, very good. Olivia, keep your eyes on Yara’s face.”
Yara was the supporting female lead, the obstacle between the male and female leads, and grew up with the male lead. The role was played by Mia, who was a breakout star from a girl group earlier this year. This morning, they mainly shot scenes between her and Mia. Mia was straightforward in character, with a cool and hip–hop–inspired dance style, often dressing in a hip–hop fashion. The character of Yara was entirely different from Mia’s real–life personality.
After one take, Mia wiped the sweat off her face, “This character is so hard to play. Allison, you should be the one playing Yara. She’s a pretty girl who grew up with the male lead. I don’t fit this role at all. I hope the audience won’t bash me when the show airs.”
Allison laughed, “You just did great. I usually see you with dreadlocks and dyed hair in photos, completely different from just now. But I don’t think you’re mismatched with the role at all. We are meant to push our boundaries.” Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
Mia took a sip of water and said somewhat awkwardly, “I don’t act often. This is a script arranged by the company. I hadn’t heard of you before, Allison, but we know each other now. I think you’re a beautiful and talented actress. You’re with Epic Entertainment, right? It’s a big company. The female lead in this drama is also from Epic Entertainment. They invested so much in it, why did they only give you a supporting role?”
Mia was frank and straightforward, “Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t mean anything else. I just think you’re much better than Sadie. It’s frustrating that your company is pushing her instead of you. They really have no taste.”
Allison smiled, “Shouldn’t the journey of life be taken one step at a time? Leaving footprints with each step is what makes it meaningful. If they had given me the lead role in this movie as a newcomer, I might not have been able to handle it.”
Mia handed Allison a bottle of isn’t struggling with all their might? Sadie, the female lead in this film, is also a newcomer from your company. She’s so snobby. This afternoon we have to wait for her to change locations to shoot a scene. I bet she’ll be at least an hour late.”
Allison said, “Probably not.”
Mia shrugged, Hard to tell.”

Allison said, “I hope she won’t be late.” Lucian had asked her out for dinner tonight.
She had accepted this date. She absolutely could not stand up Mr. Lindberg because of
