The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 386

Chapter 386

After Nicholas took off, he didn’t let the driver take him, but asked him to wait here to take Elisa home.

Nicholas hopped in a cab. He pulled out his phone, and his eyes fell on Allison’s contact. He thought about it, then dialed her number. “Are you free, Ms. Zimmer?”

Allison had just left the hospital and was about to grab a bite. She planned to visit the cemetery in the afternoon and then go to a bookstore. When she got Nicholas’ call, she said, “I’m about to grab some food. Nicholas, wanna join?”

Half an hour later, Nicholas got out of the taxi, looking at the pedestrian street in front of him. It was full of different food stalls, swarming with people, and pretty crowded. The place was almost exclusively for pedestrians and bicycles. Cars were basically a no-go here.

“I’m here! Nicholas!”

Nicholas turned around, and through the crowd a few meters away, Allison was standing in front of a hot dog stand, waving at him. Nicholas walked over to her. He had never been to such a bustling place, or eaten this kind of street food, but he didn’t feel out of place standing here. He thought he might feel a little uncomfortable, but it turned out he was just fine.

“Do you want a hot dog? I ordered one. If you want to eat, I’ll get another one.” Allison asked him.

Nicholas frowned slightly. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to eat. “I… “As far as he could remember, he’d never eaten this before.

Allison had already made the decision for him, “One more, please.”

“Sure.” The vendor quickly started to make it. “Do you want BBQ sauce, ketchup, or mayo? Pickles?”

Before Nicholas could answer, Allison said, ‘BBQ sauce. No pickles.”

Nicholas looked at her with slight surprise. She seemed to know his taste well.

Allison looked up. “Did I guess right?”

“Yes, very right.” Nicholas indeed didn’t like mayo. He could tolerate ketchup, but wasn’t a fan. His least favorite was pickles. If there was even a bit of pickle in his food at home, he could taste it. He wasn’t against all pickle products. Whole pickles he could occasionally tolerate, but chopped ones mixed in other food, he wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole.

There were a lot of people at the hot dog stand, so they waited for about ten minutes. Allison took the two hot dogs and handed one to Nicholas. She took a bite of her own hot dog and smiled satisfactorily. Seeing the smile at the corner of her lips, Nicholas also felt happy, “Is it really that good?” This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Try it yourself.” Allison looked at him, “It’s really good:

There were several middle and high schools near the pedestrian street, so it was usually crowded. Most of the people eating here were students, with some office workers from the vicinity.

When Ricky was in high school, Allison was in middle school. Every day after school, Ricky would wait for her here and buy her a hot dog.

Nicholas looked at the food in front of him, slightly frowned, then took a bite. It was incredibly delicious. He couldn’t believe something so cheap could taste this good.

Allison said, “My brother and I used to go to school near here. We often came here after school.”

Nicholas asked, “Did your brother also like this?”

“Yes, but our parents didn’t give us much allowance, so he usually only bought one, and we would share. But actually, I always ate more. He would only take a bite occasionally.”

Nicholas said, “Your brother really spoils you.”
