CHAPTER SIX
I woke up the next morning in a big size bed. The chandelier hung gracefully overhead. I still can’t believe that I’m now living and experiencing this luxury life. I rolled over to get more sleep but I was taken aback when I came face to face with a sleeping Cayne in front of me. I yelped and scooted away. He then opened his eyes, looked at me, and sighed then closed his eyes again.
“I’m not inside you yet, so I don’t understand why you are yelping so early in the morning.” He grinned a little.
“Jerk, as if I would let you inside me. Why are we in the same bed, anyways?” I panicked. “Did we–?” Oh my God! Shit! Did I just give myself to this jerk? But I wasn’t drunk yesterday, so why don’t I remember anything?
He opened his eyes then look straight at me. “Did we what?” His eyes were shining in amusement.
“You know, the thing,” I said.
“What thing? I don’t understand you?”
“Uhm, you know, nasty thing.” I blushed. My face was hot because of so much embarrassment. This guy really knows how to boil the heat inside of me. I should do something about it.
I desperately try to remember what truly happened.
He laughed. His laughed bounce off the walls and his cheeks flush from how hard he was laughing. He looked so damn hot and sexy when he laughs like that.
“No, love, we didn’t have sex.” He was grinning like a maniac.
My cheeks went red because of what he said.
“You don’t have to say the word, you know.” I shyly said.
He just laughed again. “Okay, okay. We didn’t do the thing that you were thinking,” He was grinning like a maniac. “But we can do something about it if you want.” His grin changed into something softer and fishy. He started to move closer and pulled me closer toward him. I can feel the heat of his body because he was wearing nothing in his upper. His eyes sparkled and his gaze suddenly landed on my lips. He bit his lips like he was a crazy dog wanting to bite me. His expression says it all, he wanted to take me right now. My heart fluttered but I need to stop myself.
I must not fall for the same deception again. My douchebag ex dumped me three years ago. I’m glad I made a good decision and didn’t give myself to him at that time. I believe I would have died as a result of big regrets I had done so.
“No thanks,” I said quickly, rushing out of bed and run to the bathroom. I can still feel his hot gaze while I’m running and if it feels very weird.
I closed the bathroom door and locked it because honestly, I don’t want him ‘accidentally’ walking in and seeing me naked inside the bathroom. That would be too embarrassing and awkward. How mortifying would that be right?
I brushed my teeth and when I was done I turned on the shower.
I stripped myself and hopped into the shower. The water started to splash all over my body. It was so warm. As I showered, I suddenly remembered what happened yesterday.
*FLASHBACK*
After the limo ride where Cayne had desperately made me want him to kiss me, we had arrived at his house. As soon as we went inside, I looked around and my eyes are blazing with amazement. I still couldn’t get over how amazing and beautiful this place is. I could live here forever.
A tall, well-built man came and took my suitcase from Cayne’s hand, murmuring, “Welcome home, Cayne and Madam.”
The man looked at me with a hard stare. I refused to shrink back under his gaze, I gave him a hard stare right back. The man suddenly grin and said “Cayne, aren’t you gonna introduced me to this beautiful young lady?” He had a slight British accent.
“Oh. Raszhiel, this is my personal butler, Andrew. Andrew, this is my wife, Raszhiel.”
The man grinned widely, a dramatic change considering how he had just been glaring at me moments before. Creepy. I think this one is bipolar.
“Nice to meet you, Raszhiel,” he said, holding out his hand.
“Nice to meet you too, Andrew.” I smiled.
“I’ll just put your suitcase away from you.” He smiled at us one last time and walked away.
“He seems nice, but a bit creepy,” I said to Cayne.
He just nodded, a sad far away looked in this eyes. “He has served my family for almost thirty years. I’ve known him since I was born.”
I was surprised by what he said. Thirty years? The fudge? But he didn’t look a day over thirty himself.
“How old is he?” I wondered aloud.
“Fifty-seven.” My jaw dropped in shock. Cayne smirked at my reaction.
“He’s still in good health though.”
“Yeah, tell me about it.”
Liam then showed me around the mansion because the last time I went here I wasn’t able to roam and you’re around. Ten bedrooms, thirteen bathrooms, a huge living room, an enormous kitchen, a dining room that went off for days, a home theatre, and a huge patio that overlooked his gigantic swimming pool. I was breathless as I tried to grasp the fact that I would be staying in this fantastic and luxurious place.
“And this is your room,” Cayne said, pushing the door open. The room was very huge. It was twice the size of my apartment.
I looked around in amazement as Cayne said, ” And if you need anything feel free to ask and come to me.”
I turned around and saw that he was grinning, holding his arms open like he was expecting me to run into them. When I didn’t he pouted.
“You’re no fun, babe.”
I shrugged and replied. “I am not your babe.”
He pulled me into his arms and held me tight. “Yes you are,” he whispered in my ears. “You just don’t see it yet.”
I escaped his arms and stood far away from him. “I’m not gonna be anyone’s babe ever again,” I said quietly. “I know what men are now.”
Cayne has seemed to hear me. His liquid blue eyes stared into me as he said, “Not all of us are the same.”
“Oh please, spare me with your words,” I rolled my eyes. “You’re an infamous billionaire and a playboy. Who knows how many women out there who had sex with you.” I shook my head.
He sighed. “Okay. I’ve had sex with few women, I admit, but I don’t do sex with just anyone. And besides, who’s to say I can’t change If I met the right woman.” He looked right at me.
I suddenly realized how dark it was getting and I shook my head, shaking off his intense gaze.
“I’m tired. I’ll go get a shower and rest.” I said to him and left.
When I went out of the bathroom I did not see any Cayne. Thank goodness. What I saw is a bottle of vodka beside the vanity mirror. Wow. What in the world did the vodka doing in a vanity mirror. I then started to open the vodka. I drank a little but I feel a little tipsy already. I went to lay down on my bed, desperately trying to sleep, but I couldn’t. It feels weird and different. The bed was too big for me. I wasn’t so used to sleeping in bed as huge as this. I sighed and turned around. Then I groaned and turned the other way.
Sigh, turn, groan, turn. This happens for a while until Cayne opens the door, shining light into the room.
I shrieked in shock and blushed as I look at him. Who wouldn’t? He is shirtless for Pete’s sake. His arms were toned and his abs were like heaven. My eyes trailed down to his yummy six-pack abs and the V that leads to his— Shit! I should look away. Look away, Raszhiel. Goddamit! I looked away, blushing furiously.
“What are you doing, bursting into my room like that?” I hissed, still trying my best not to look at him.
“You were groaning and sighing and the bed kept on creaking when you move. I thought there was a guy in here. I was ready to kick his ass off.”
I looked at him, my mind was a little fuddled but I talked past the mush in my brain. How the hell he heard me groan and sigh in this huge room? And even the creaking of the bed? My God.
“Even if there were a guy in here, you don’t have the right to kick his ass off. We’re not together, remember? We are just pretending.”
He looked at me, not saying anything. Finally, he smirked.
“I think your drank and can’t sleep, eh, ?” He started, walking into the room.
“How did you know?” I was surprised at how clearly he could see right through me.
“Because I can smell the aroma of the vodka and, you’re even grumpier than usual.” He smirked and closed the door. The room went into sudden darkness. I blinked twice, trying to adjust my eyes to the darkness.
I felt the bed dip and suddenly arms were around my waist. My eyes widened and Cayne pulled my back close to him. I could feel the toned hardness of his body. All of his body.
“Cayne,” I shrieked, sounding whiny but I didn’t care. This was just so embarrassing and awkward.
“Shut up and just go to sleep. I won’t do anything bad.” He said softly. And somehow, despite how awkward I felt, I was comfortable in his strong arms. Safe and secure. And then suddenly, I drifted off before I even realized it.
*FLASHBACK ENDS
*
I was jolted back to reality by a hectic pounding on the door.
“Raszhiel?” I heard Cayne calling my name through the door. “Are you okay in there?
I rolled my eyes but didn’t answer.
“You’d better be not rolling your eyes at me,” he growled.
“Raszhiel Kein, if you don’t answer me and I will force myself to go inside.”
My eyes widened at the thought of that. I was paralyzed with embarrassment at the thought of him getting inside while I’m taking a shower.
“I’m fine, Cayne.” I turned off the shower.
“Good.” I could hear a smile in his voice. “Hurry up.”
“Okay,” I said meekly, I turned on the shower again and then turned it off and stepped out. I put on a plush robe and went out of the bathroom. The bed was fixed mad I black box caught my attention. It was on my bed. There was a single card sitting atop it, the card read;
“Just put it on,
– Cayne.”Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
“I blinked at the card and look at the black box. I opened it and it was a thigh-length deep red dress. The tag read “Gucci”. When I pulled the dress out I realized that we’re shoes underneath it. Taking a closer look, I saw that they were the classic red and black Louboutins.
My mouth dropped. This outfit coated thousands of dollars.
I did my makeup. It was perfection. Not too much, not too little. I slipped on the dress. It clung to me in all right places. When U slipped on the Loubs my legs seems to instantly become longer. I let my hair down and brushed it.
A knocked sounded at the door.
” Come in,” I called.
Cayne walked in smiling. I watched him in a full-length mirror as his smile suddenly fell. He then stared at me, his eyes moved up and down my body like I was a masterpiece. I was caught in his gaze like a rabbit caught in the eyes of a lion.
He walked forward and wrapped his arms around me, pulling my back against him.
“What’s this fuss all about?” I asked him
He ignored my question. “You look amazing.”
“Whatever.” I rolled my eyes at him.
“Be prepared, you’ll be meeting my parents.” He said that shocked me to death.
Oh my God! So this is what all about? Shit! I’m not even prepared.
