The Billionaire Casanova

Chapter 7

***CASSEY’S POV***

After the registration, I tried everything possible not to come in contact with Ace. I did everything I needed to do for the registration and I was so eager to leave. Even Karen was trying to discourage me from going.

“Hey girl why the rush,” she shouted, holding me by the hand.

“I need to go back to the house now you know, so that I can go to see Mrs Sophia and do all of the things she wants me to do, and the twins might b e back from their swimming lessons so I need to take care of them,” I protested.

“I think you should talk to him,” Karen said, pointing towards Ace.

“I won’t do that, you can go ahead and talk to him, just do whatever you wish,” I was getting angry at Karen.

“I think you love him, just go ahead girl, admit it that you love him,” Karen teased with a smile on her face.

“No, I do not love him and I do not intend to. All my attention is just to pass my studies and then get the hell out of his life,”I said, leaving the school.

I went out of the premises, I could feel the evening breeze, it was so cool and refreshing as it blew my hair to my face. The artificial grass that adorned the school was not left out as the breeze blew at the too. l wave the hair covering my face as the breeze kept coming to my face.

The cool environment made me feel a little bit satisfied and out of my worries. I walked closer to the bus station to board a bus back to the house when I saw Ace coming out of the school with his car. Immediately I saw him. I wanted to walk away or probably stay away so that he wouldn’t be able to see me. I decided to turn my face away from the direction he was coming from but it was too late because he had already stopped in front of me.

“Hey, hop into the car, I guess you were going home,” he said looking at me in a friendly way.

I kept my face away from his gaze and didn’t want to smile or turn around to look at him but I had no choice. I had to speak to him after a few seconds.

“Hello. I’m fine and I will go home myself, thanks,” he replied indifferently.

“I am speaking to you and you know that I am your boss so you should listen to my instructions,” he said calmly with a mischievous smile on his lips as usual.

I turned my face away from him but the moment he was about to step out of his car I didn’t want to be embarrassed since the people around were staring at us. I quietly walked into his car, not wanting to create a scene.

“Good afternoon,” I greeted, turning my face away from him.

“Now that’s more like it. That is what you should have done earlier, and not trying to be stubborn,” he said looking at me.

“So, where are you headed? Are you going to your house or are you coming to the mansion?” He asked, as he drove the car.

I looked at him not knowing exactly what answer.

“You can drop me at my place. I’ll come to the mansion later in the day when I’m done,” I said, after a few seconds of thinking. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

“No you should go to the mansion, you know Bella and Belle are going to be in need of your presence once they are back from their swimming lessons,” replied.

He was right, I needed to go back to the mansion, but I knew it was going to be awkward staying with him alone in the mansion since Mrs Sophia wasn’t around yet.

“Okay, if you say so,” I said, looking at his face.

We drove silently all the way to the house

As we drove along the street the cool breeze continued to blow into the car making everywhere so calm and peaceful. Even though the air made it look like everywhere was peaceful I know between the two of us that everything was not alright.

I don’t know what was going on in Ace’s mind but I’m sure it won’t be a good thing because he was full of mischievous things and then I don’t know what his next actions were going to be like.

He looked at me occasionally and I could see him from the corner of my eyes even though the breeze made it difficult for me to look straight in his face. We drove silently to the house and we got to the house. I was so glad to see Mrs Sophia’s car parked outside. It gave me a lot of relief at least I wouldn’t have to spend any more minutes alone with this guy. We walked into the mansion and I saw Mrs Sophia sitting on the couch with a fashion magazine in her hand, Ace walked up to her to greet her while I followed closely behind.

“Hey, it seems you both went out together,” she said, calmly.

“Of course not ma’am,” I replied quickly.

“Then why are you both together?” she asked, looking at me and then looking back at her son.

I was searching for the best answer to her question. I didn’t want to lose her trust.

“Well, my mum, I saw her at my school. I didn’t know what she was doing there so I decided to be helpful so I gave her a lift and brought her back,” Ace explained.

I was glad that he spoke up, at least it saved the stress of having to explain myself to Mrs Sophia. A lot has happened and the least I wanted right now is being reprimanded for anything, that is why I’m just being careful.

“Oh really, so tell me what were you doing in his school? she asked.
