Sweet 23

A Gesture of Goodwill

Sigrid’s face turned red, but she was also grateful for George’s good sense. If he was not rational, hel might have ordered the driver to leave the car and did whatever he wanted to with Sigrid.

Her brother–in–law was a decent guy, so she gave him a lot of ‘likes‘!

“You must have something to do in the study, don’t you? Don’t worry about me, go ahead.” She sat on the bed and turned on the TV, looking for a program she was interested in.

George was not as easy to kick out of the room as she thought. He lay down directly beside her and said, ” I have no work to deal with while I’m on marriage leave.”

“But you were in the study before…” Sigrid looked at him doubtfully. After Rebecca left, he had remained alone in the study for more than an hour. If he had nothing to deal with, he would not have stayed in the study for an hour.

“That was to deal with the gossip.” George looked at her thoughtfully. Didn’t she know that he was the one who claimed that the woman in the video was Rebecca?

What a silly girl.

Not only that, but he had gone to great lengths to make sure she would not be seen as his mistress by

others. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

But she really didn’t know anything

Sigrid was a little embarrassed by George’s gaze. Her little face turned red and she asked, “What’s that look you’re giving me?” she asked.

His sexy thin lips curled up slightly. “Nothing,” he said out loud, while thinking ‘I just thought that you looked very delicious.”

“This is not a ‘nothing‘ look,” she thought to herself!

Sigrid was a little nervous. She raised her hand to touch the corner of her mouth and was relieved to find. nothing on it.

During this awkward pause her cell phone began to vibrate and on the screen was a photo of Rebecca.

George turned his face and frowned slightly.

Sigrid calmly swiped open the phone and answered, “Hello?”

“Sigrid, I know I was wrong. I won’t ever do anything like that again that might make people misunderstand you in the future.” Rebecca softly apologized, her tone full of remorse.

Seeing that Rebecca was retreating a step, Sigrid wondered what she was up to.

“Are you coming home on Friday night? Come back with my brother–in–law. Can we sit down to a meal together as a family?”

Sigrid was torn. She called George brother–in–law, and Rebecca called him brother–in–law too. What a messy relationship!

“It’s fine with me, but my husband doesn’t know if he can make it,” she continued, going along with Rebecca’s words.

Rebecca, on the other end of the line, was silent for a moment and then said, “If he can come with you, just send me a message.”

Gesture of Goodwill

“Okay.” After hanging up the phone, Sigrid looked at George. “Would you like to go back for dinner with me on Friday night?

George raised his eyebrows. “A gesture of goodwill?”

“I guess so.” After all, you had threatened Rebecca if anything happened to the ashes, she would be done for. She has no choice. In order to continue to exist in the entertainment world, she had to do so.

“Sure.” George felt that there were some things that had to be explained to Franklin Vincent.

Because the Toland Group was a long way from the Vincent family home, Sigrid went to the office with George on Friday. It would be more convenient for her to go to the Vincent family for dinner after work. The car stopped at the gate of Toland Group. When Sigrid got out of the car, she intended to follow behind George. She hadn’t expected a big hand to hold her so that they would unabashedly enter together.
