Chapter 1: The wedding Night
Chapter 1: The wedding Night
"You are the one" Shawn's blatant stare didn't waver from her. He looked at the beautiful woman, he hadn't seen a woman so beautiful like her. "I...I..." For some reason Hannah felt shy, the words trapped in her throat as she looked at the Handsome man. There was so much she wanted to say to him yet so little came to mind. "Yes, I am" She was quick to add.
"My name is Shawn Cooper" His gaze is not parting from her. He knew that at least someone needed to talk since she was shy.
"Hannah, just call me Hannah Lockwood"
It was the wedding night of Hannah Lockwood and Shawn Cooper. However, as she walked in through that door, the words vanished in her head. She was confident she had it all planned out just as before, Hannah was not the sort of woman who would lack words to say, however when she met Shawn, those words escaped her mind.
"This is strange" She mumbled under her breath and wondered why she forget the words to say, as her eyes locked together with Shawn.
"It was nice to meet you" Shawn shot a smile at her, his pearly white teeth flashing down at her.
He was smiling at her and she should return the gesture but Hannah wasn't sure if she should return with a warm smile, for a split second she was contemplating what to do. When she realized it would be weird leaving him unanswered, Hannah knew she had to get back into her usual self, if she really wanted to make this night to work.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
"You too, it was... it was nice meeting you as well" She wasn't sure how to talk with him.
"So it is our wedding night, after all, you and I are now bound as man and woman." He takes a step closer to her.
"I know... it has... it has been sealed and there is nothing that I can do to change that right now"
"Why are you intending to change it?" He asked and wondered if it was because of his poor family background that made her say that.
She shook her head. "No, how could I change what has already been put in place"
"You are right"
As Hannah studied the lines on his face, it finally dawned on her once again that she was nothing but a substitute bride for Shawn, she wouldn't be here if it wasn't for what she needed the most.
"You do realize that my family lacks basic necessities"
"Yes I do," Hannah need not be reminded. She had a difficult background as a step daughter. "That's alright Sh...Shawn"
Hannah couldn't tell how she suddenly became a teenager who was too shy to be with this boy she crushed in her class. That was the opposite between her and Shawn since she was meeting him for the first time.
He smiled.
"Why do you have to bring that up?" She asked
"Nothing, I just thought you should know just a in case you were not aware, and this is our first meeting so I thought we should get to know each other a little"
Hannah nodded her head. "You want to know me?" She was not certain that she heard correctly since she was wearing a dirty wedding gown and was a substitute bride for her older sister.
However, somehow, Shawn saw that past everything, and when his eyes fell on him, all he saw was a beautiful woman.
When those words left her mouth, Shawn nodded his head. Right there, Hannah was determined that she was going to make the best of her time with her new husband, Shawn. She was already here and couldn't go back anymore to stop this day from happening. It happened for a reason. She reminded herself.
"Yes I want to know you, Hannah"
"I want to know you as well" Hannah was as confident as ever. However, she knew she needed not to appear before her husband for the first time looking like she just rolled in mud and dirt. "I will be right back
"Where are you off to?"
She pointed towards the bathroom and shut the door right behind it, not bothering to take another glance at him.
Hannah stood before the small
mirror, She wasn't sure what she wanted to do at first but she was certain about one thing, she wanted to come out looking like she had just taken a shower.
They might live in a small town and might have been married off to a man who lacked a little, but she wouldn't let it get in the way of her marriage.
Her parents should be smiling and hoping she would be miserable but she was not going to give them have their way, not now, not ever.
"Shawn and I are now married" She ran her hand through her hair letting the water pour on her skin, and reminded herself that she was no longer in the house of her father and stepmother.
As she entered back into the bedroom, the only thing that was on her mind was to get along with Shawn.
"You are looking even more beautiful" Shawn's mouth was left agape. She was more beautiful than the flowers people grow in their garden. "Perhaps we can be friends" Hannah suggested.
"Friends?"
"For us to get along, we should try to be friends, don't you think?"
"You just read my thoughts, that was what I thinking as well"
"So we have known each other's name, what other things do you..." While Hannah was still talking, he pulled her into his arms, her hands falling on his chest.
Her eyes widened, it was awkward being so close to him.
"Now we can get to know each other better"
"This is not what I had in mind"
"Well this is what I had in mind, I like this a lot better, don't you?" He pinched the bridge of her nose.
She struggled to break away.
"Don't fight it, You can ask me anything you want"
"Who talks in such an awkward position?"
"Awkward? This is not awkward, yet" As the latter left his mouth, he pushed her to the bed, and he mounted on top of her body. "Now this is awkward, do you like it?"
"Like it?"
"You dot like it like it yet?" He tucked
a strand of hair behind her ear and pinned her hands on the bed when she attempted to move her hands, he drew his lips closer to her, and his breath fanned her face "Do you like it a lot more now?"
