Chapter 63
Happy reading…
Hera took a deep breath as she stepped into the house. The commotion from the living room was heard even before she passed through the main door. It was Juan and Anne’s voice. It looks like they are having fun playing. Unknowingly Hera smiled softly as she quickened her pace. She wanted to meet her little son soon.
Hera’s steps slowed slightly when she saw that it wasn’t only Juan and Anne there.
“Hera, are you home yet?” Anne’s question made the figure who was sitting with her back to Hera turned around. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
That’s Haidar.
The man smiled broadly showing his gummy smile that was so distinctive.
“Hey, Hera!” said Haidar.
“Hi!” replied Hera. “I’ll clean myself first,” she continued and then left.
Juan, who was too busy playing with Haidar, didn’t even notice Hera’s presence. Juan is like that when he plays with a man. Hera thought, did Juan miss his father? May be. But since the divorce trial, Jayden had never been there. Hera had already given her their new home address even though she knew that even if they didn’t give it Jayden would have to find out himself.
After cleaning herself up, Hera approached Juan and Haidar. Only the two of them were left because Anne was assisted by Ara while preparing dinner.
Juan who just realized that his mother had come home began to whine.
“If you’re hungry, you just remember your mother, don’t you?” said Hera pinching Juan’s nose fondly. She gave Juan the pumped-in milk. It’s not that Hera doesn’t want to breastfeed directly, but she doesn’t feel good because Haidar is there.
“How was your work today, Hera?” asked Haidar after a moment of silence. Both of them were so late watching Juan drink his milk voraciously.
“Very tiring,” Hera answered honestly.
Haidar chuckled softly. “That’s natural because you’re just starting a business from scratch,” he said. “But you don’t have to worry—”
“No, Haidar.” Hera immediately cut off Haidar’s words making the man frown in confusion.
“Your help is enough here.”
Haidar’s narrow eyes narrowed. “What do you mean?” He was still confused about Hera’s intentions.
Hera didn’t answer right away. The woman even lowered her head to make Haidar even more curious.
“Hera, what’s wrong?” asked Haidar demanding an explanation. It’s too sudden.
“Why didn’t you ever say that you were also affected by my divorce?” Hera looked up. The look in her eyes conveyed disappointment and guilt. Disappointed that Haidar had not been honest with her and felt guilty about her problems with Jayden, Haidar’s reputation was tarnished too.
Haidar lowered his gaze slightly. So Hera already knew about this matter.
“You calm down, Hera. Everything will be fine,” said Haidar trying to calm Hera.
“Just fine?” Hera rolled her eyes lazily. “How is it possible that everything is fine, Haidar. They all sneer at us, tell stories that are ridiculous and even demean us.” Hera’s words were full of deep resentment. Indirectly they have been slandered.
“I can’t even imagine how much loss your company will incur because of this problem of mine. I’m really sorry,” Hera said with an apologetic look on her face. Haidar had been very good to her but Hera could not repay him with kindness either.
“Thanks for worrying about me, but really everything is fine,” said Haidar again reassuring Hera. “Maybe it’s true….” Haidar shrugged his shoulders faintly, “at first it was difficult to get their trust back but I’ve handled it well. And everything is back to normal now.”
“But what they say?”
“You don’t have to think about it. After all, we’re not like that. If they get bored or find a new, hotter topic, they’ll forget about it.”
Hera saluted by bringing Haidar who was so calm. Even though she was already very frustrated, seeing Haidar as usual in his response made Hera feel stupid herself.
“But still I want to manage my own company. I want to prove to them that my company can bounce back because of my hard work.” Hera was determined.
Seeing Hera’s serious face actually invited Haidar’s laughter. The woman was so adorable that she couldn’t help but ruffle Hera’s hair, which still felt wet from washing it.
“I’m glad to see you so excited like this,” Haidar chuckled.
With a shy smile and flushed cheeks Hera said, “This is all thanks to your help too.”
“Okay. I can’t wait to see the company return to its prime. Because then I can edit you to be my wife.” The words that were so clear came out of Haidar’s mouth. Hera couldn’t help but roll her eyes in surprise. Basic Haidar. But what Hera said next took Haidar by surprise.
“Maybe it’s time I started opening my heart to you.”
Not only Haidar, Anne and Ara who heard this were also surprised and happy.
Yes. It was time for Hera to pursue her own happiness. And maybe it can be achieved with Haidar.

“If you really can’t take care of him, you should just give Juan custody to me!” Jayden shouted right in front of Hera’s face, which was already in tears.
Hera could only cry, neither fighting nor denying Jayden. Because the one on her mind right now is Juan.
His little son who was struggling in the ER.
“Stop it, Jayden! It’s not Hera’s fault!” defended Anne, who had been trying to calm Hera down.
Jayden laughed mockingly. “Not Hera’s fault? Then whose fault, Mrs. Anne?” Jayden asked arrogantly. “If only she could be a mother and take good care of Juan, Juan wouldn’t be in there!” Jayden suppressed every word that came out of his mouth. His sharp gaze seemed to be able to kill the pair of mother and daughter. The man really couldn’t hold back his emotions anymore.
“If anything happens to my son, I won’t forgive you, Hera! Keep that in mind!”
Even Jayden’s threats were like the wind passing by Hera’s ears. Jayden didn’t have to bother threatening Hera because Hera herself wouldn’t forgive herself if anything happened to Juan.
The three were still hopeful, occasionally glancing at the door hoping the doctor would come out soon and give them some good news. Fifteen minutes passed, no one came out of the room. Hera was getting more and more anxious and panicked. If only she could, she would have run in there to check for herself how her son was doing. Really waiting is the most annoying thing especially when it comes to life.
Their waiting continued for half an hour and finally Doctor Emi who had always treated Juan came out.
Hera, Jayden and Anne immediately approached Doctor Emi.
“How is Juan, Doctor Emi?” asked Hera.
Doctor Emi took a deep breath so the three people in front of her could guess if what Doctor Emi was about to say would not please them.
“Juan’s condition is critical.”
One sentence that suddenly made Hera lose consciousness.
