Stop, Your Grace!

Chapter 13 You are my antidote

Kevin instinctively stretched out his arms to hold Melody. A soft body fell into his arms with a refreshing pleasing smell.

Melody closed her eyes tightly, thinking that she would fall into the ground, but instead she hit a warm chest.

Tik tok. The clock in the study was ticking.

“Are you enjoying yourself in my arms?” said Kevin in a cold voice.

Melody was sober suddenly. She opened her eyes and looked at the frosty face. “You, you, you, I, I…”

Kevin shrank back his hands and Melody fell onto the ground.

“Ah…”

Melody struggled to get up from the ground. She patted the dust on her body and frowned angrily. “Can’t you put me down gently? It hurts!”

“Who allowed you to come in?” Kevin was sitting on the sofa nearby, holding a glass of wine.

Melody did not know that he would appear in the study. “I couldn’t find my way and I accidentally broke in… I’ll leave now.”

“Wait!”

Melody stopped in horror, sweating nervously.

The thought that Kevin’s mania almost caused her heart attack made Melody fear that he would pull out his gun again.

“Why are you trembling?” His breath quickly wrapped around her.

“Did, did I…” Melody mumbled and wished she could run as fast as she could, but she could not make a move.

Kevin stood behind her, his eyes half narrowed. “Afraid that I will eat you?”

“Uh-huh.” Melody nodded, and then shook her head again, ” No!” She bit her lower lip and was chagrined.

Kevin reached for her jaw. “It seems that the gun really frightened you and suddenly you are honest with me.”

Seeing his brown eyes, Melody laughed, “It was my fault before. I still hope you have a broad mind and forgive my mistake.”

Under the pressure of Kevin, she had to bow down to him.

“You really learned your lesson.” The finger abdomen covered with thin cocoons rubbed her lower jaw, giving me an interesting taste: “I would like to have you right now!”

Plain words came from his mouth as if he were talking about the weather.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

But Melody shuddered, “Ha ha, it’s getting late, you need to go to bed.”

She turned away and ran to the door.

As soon as she made her first step, Melody was stopped by Kevin. Before she could react, she was pushed against the bookcase.

“Err…” Melody frowned with pain in the back.

“Where do you want to escape?”

Their bodies were attached closely, and Kevin’s domineering breath was lingering around.

Melody looked at him in terror and did not know what to respond.

Playing with her hair, Kevin said wickedly, “It’s getting late. It’s time to rest.”

Melody had a bad feeling. She shrank and said, “All right then, good night…”

She tried to run again, but failed. She was held in Kevin’s arms. “Did I let you go?” said Kevin.

“I, I, I…” Melody stammered nervously and pushed him resistently.

Kevin looked directly in her eyes. “It’s not that you haven’t slept with me. What are you nervous about?”

After holding back for a while, Melody did not dare to look into his eyes. “Mr. Yule, please behave yourself!”

“Behave myself?” Kevin raised his beautiful eyebrows slightly. “Oh, this is the first time someone talk with me like that.”

Melody pushed him away, knowing that she would annoy the Duke. Yet she still had the courage to say, “I’m not interested in you. After tomorrow, the truth will come out. I am definitely not the person you are looking for.”

She bypassed him and stepped away.

Kevin’s voice came from behind, “Melody, the truth is that you are my antidote!”

Feeling a chill, Melody shook all over and accelerated her pace to leave.

Looking at the back of her deserted escape, Kevin sneered.

No one has ever dared to question him. What an ignorant woman!
