Get a divorce
Get a divorce
California.
Henry's family residence.
Parker and his wife sat in the room, as they patiently waited for Kathleen's arrival. Displayed in front of
them, were the photos Henry gave them.
They had to put an end to everything today!
They were the ones who initiated the marriage between the two families. So, they had to put an end to
it as well....
After all, they had found someone more powerful than them. They would be a fool if they let go of the
opportunity.
The door opened, and Kathleen came in.
She smiled, as she waded over to them,
"Good afternoon mum, dad." She settled herself on the sofa opposite theirs.
Henry's parents didn't respond, they only looked at her in contempt.
Kathleen could sense the hostility emanating from them, however she said nothing.
"Are you qualified to call us that?" Parker asked coldly.
Kathleen raised her head,
"Pardon?" Her voice sounded confused.
"That aside, we want you to get a divorce, with our son." Matilda clasped her hands, and placed them
over her knees.
"Divorce?" Kathleen's voice was sharp as she raised her head to look at them.
They didn't respond, but continued looking at her.
Kathleen's mind was a mess. What could have happened?
Did they see the photos? But Henry promised her-
Her eyes darted to the photos on the table, and she widened her eyes,
'That bastard!'
She was furious.... Henry broke his promise!
She took a deep breath and when she spoke again, her tone was calm. Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Can I ask for the reason of the divorce?" Kathleen asked in a dominant tone.
She wanted them to know they even though she was their daughter in-law, she was still the CEO of a
conglomerate. She wasn't a pushover.
"Before we answer your question, would you like to explain the meaning of these photos?" Parker
threw a question at her.
Kathleen swallowed hard,
"I'm not obligated to do that. You were the ones who forced me into this alliance marriage of a thing. Do
you think I'm like cabbage which you can purchase in the market?" Kathleen narrowed her eyes.
Henry's parents weren't intimidated at all.
"Think whatever you want. I'm not the one in those photos after all." Matilda retorted.
"What if they were photoshopped?" Kathleen suddenly asked.
Henry's parents were silent for a moment, and then they burst into laughter.
"Let's not fool ourselves, Kathleen. We know very well that these photos weren't photoshopped."
Parker refuted her claims.
At that, Kathleen flared up,
"Fine! You want me to get a divorce, don't you?! " Kathleen yelled.
"Keep your voice down young lady." Matilda said coldly.
"I believe you don't have the right to tell me that. After all, I will no longer be your daughter-in-law,
right?" Kathleen smirked.
"Are you out of-"
"Spare me that, Matilda." Kathleen interrupted her.
Henry's parents were furious, however they maintained their calm.
"You guys should remember that I have the right to make your Corporation go bankrupt. And when I do,
no one would be able to help." Kathleen snarled.
They wanted to play games with her right? They were welcome to try.
Kathleen was expecting them to apologize, after all, they knew she wasn't making an empty threat.
However, when she looked at them, it seemed they were trying to stifle their laughter instead.
'What the hell?'
"It seems you guys think I'm joking, isn't it? Well, I'm not joking one bit..." Kathleen continued.
"You seem to be getting the wrong idea, Miss.... You can go ahead and do whatever you want." Parker
said confidently.
"Right? Of course I will. And when I do, don't ask me to go easy on you, cause I won't." Kathleen got
angry and stood up,
"Have a nice day." She made her way towards the door. As she was about to place her hand on the
door knob, Parker's voice stopped her,
"What about the divorce papers, when are you going to sign them?" His voice contained a tinge of
mockery.
He was mocking her!
"Soon, I will visit Henry, and sign them." She replied.
"That would be good then, close the door on your way out." Matilda chuckled.
............
"She must be full of herself. She was the one who was in those photos, yet she claimed they were
photoshopped. And when we asked her to get a divorce, she threatened us with our Corporation. The
heck!" Parker shook his feet angrily.
"Be calm, I'm glad she's going." Matilda said calmly.
"Me too. Wait, I hope our daughter-in-law didn't have a bad impression of us, the other time we visited,
right?" Parker asked.
"Let's hope she didn't..." Matilda sighed.
They had been impulsive that day...
================
Kathleen hit her hands angrily on the steering wheel.
Were they out of their minds?!
Even though she was married, she had the right to fuck whoever she wanted.
The marriage after all, wasn't done of love. It was a mutual marriage.... An alliance marriage...
"But when I threatened them earlier on, they didn't flinch at all. Could they have gotten a stronger
backing?" Kathleen wondered loudly in the car.
Who could it be?.....
'Aaahh...' How could she forget?
Quinn of course!
They found someone a little bit powerful than her, and decided to do away with her right?
Those old fools!
She was sure that if Quinn wasn't in the picture, or if she was still an ordinary maid, they would have
overlooked what she did....
But it wasn't her fault after all.... She had been drugged!
"It seems, I have to make use of what that jerk gave me." Kathleen started the ignition, and began
driving.
She had been sceptical before... But now, she could no longer be hesitant.
She didn't want to marry Henry anymore.... She only them to suffer.
She wanted both of them to suffer!
Yes, she was going to make sure of it!
Pity? How could she pity them?
Both of them hurt her, especially that jerk! Henry....
However, she was going to be away for a while.
And when she came back, she was going to deal with her father's little lover, Henry and that slut;
Quinn.
'See you guys when I return.'
