Seduced by My Childhood Sweetheart’s Brother

Chapter 697

"Is everything really okay?" I asked Colin with bright eyes.

He looked at me dotingly with a smile. "Everything is okay as long as it's what you want. But I have a small condition. I wonder if you'll agree to it."

"What is it?"

"I hope you can fill up your notebook with little red flowers. I've been waiting anxiously for that to happen. Please have mercy on your future husband, darling. Don't make me worry about that every day, okay?" Why was he discussing this trivial matter with such a serious attitude and tone? It wasn't quite appropriate.

I awkwardly gripped the hem of my clothes, not daring to lift my head to meet his gaze.

Colin, however, changed from his elegant self to become like a big golden retriever. He nuzzled and coaxed me. "Come on, darling. Please say yes. I can't wait to become your husband. Pretty please." That was filled up long ago, silly.

I raised my head to look into his pleading and hopeful eyes. Then, I saw myself nodding shyly in his bright eyes that were sparkling like the stars.

I smelled the scent of pine immediately as Colin cupped my face to capture my lips in a sweet and affectionate kiss. He refused to let go.

His familiar scent was all I could smell.

The kiss was so sweet. I liked it a lot!

Time passed by quietly as Colin and I were busy with our everyday responsibilities. We could only be together in the evenings, but I felt incredibly happy every single day. Yes, I was happy to be together with him.

During a call with my parents, I mentioned that Colin had bought a house and even showed my mom the property deed with my name on it.

reminded me to cherish it. Dad, on the other hand, eyed the document with dissatisfaction while muttering, "Why did you let one of the Whites

buy the house?

"I can afford to buy my daughter a house myself. Hmph, none of them are good people. That Colin even managed to steal my daughter away!"

Dad's words embarrassed me, but Mom just burst into laughter, her face flushing with amusement.

What was supposed to be a serious matter turned into a joke when it reached my parents, making me quite irritated!

In the blink of an eye, it was time for the competition. With Professor King leading the team and me as his assistant, we led seven artists from the Department of Fine Arts to participate in the competition in Denville. The competition was scheduled to last for a week.

Colin opposed my going to Denville, but he couldn't overturn the professor's decision. He could only accept it despite his unwillingness to do so.

On the morning of our departure, the weather was a little gloomy as there was a light drizzle. Although it wasn't cold, everything felt wet and uncomfortable.

Colin escorted me onto the minibus the school hired, helped me with my luggage, and repeatedly reminded me to be careful and pay attention to this and that while holding my hand.

Everyone was waiting for me and Colin to bid farewell to each other.

"Alright, it's just a competition. It's not like we're not coming back. Why are you making things so emotional? Can you act a bit more like a teacher? Hurry up, we're leaving." The professor finally spoke up as he couldn't bear it anymore. He impatiently pushed me onto the bus and ruthlessly drove Colin away.

For some reason, Colin dared to

argue with the professor this time. His forlorn look made it seem like he was being abandoned. "Why do you have to bring her along? We have so many people in school who can take her place. Luna has no experience in this at all."

"Colin White, don't let people know that I'm your mentor. You're going to embarrass me." The professor disdainfully looked at Colin from head to toe with a merciless gaze. "Instead of focusing on your work, you indulge in this sentimental attachment with a woman. You should just become a priest and think about your actions."

Everyone near the bus couldn't help but chuckle when they heard this.
