Chapter 3091
Chapter 3091
Nathan arrived at the entrance of the Curia palace with Colin, Ava, and the Elite Eight following closely behind.
Before Nathan could enter the palace, however, a white-haired old man appeared before him and blocked his path.
The old man was dressed in white robes and had a cane in his hand.
He was none other than Baccio, the head of the Ten Elders.
The tension in the air was intense as Nathan and Baccio stared each other down.
Both of them then activated their respective auras and engaged each other in a mental battle.
The world in their minds was completely empty, so Nathan and Baccio were the only ones in there. Neither of them said a word as they charged at each other and fought with all their might.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
They both unleashed their full potential and were zipping around the blank space like lightning bolts.
In just the blink of an eye, they had exchanged three hundred blows.
Eventually, Nathan was able to break through Baccio's defenses. He landed a punch on the latter's chest.
"Ugh!" Baccio groaned in pain in the real world and staggered backward as though he was hit by an invisible object.
Blood was flowing out of the corner of his mouth as he tried his best to stabilize himself.
"You've lost," Nathan said calmly upon exiting that mental plane.
Baccio's expression was extremely gloomy as he stared at Nathan in shock and anger.
The two of them had fought each other three hundred times inside that mental world when they made eye contact earlier.
To the onlookers, however, it looked as though Baccio had been knocked back and injured by something invisible.
The arrogant and prideful look in Baccio's eyes was gone when he heard what Nathan said.
That defeat humbled him so much that he looked as if he had aged ten years in an instant.
He shoved aside the bishops and Holy Knights who came to hold him steady. "Your strength is something out of this world, Mr. Cross. I humbly accept my defeat."
"Thank you," Nathan replied with a nod.
He then marched into the palace hall with Colin and the others.
Eugene IV sat elegantly on his throne with the Holy Maiden, War Gods of the Light, Holy Guardians, Holy Knights, and cardinals by his side.
Each and every one of them was staring at Nathan in shock.
After all, Nathan had fought his way through an army of fifty thousand warriors from the Curia and defeated Arlo, the Sword Saint of the ten Holy Guardians.
He was so powerful that none of the Curia's most powerful fighters were able to stop him.
Even Eugene IV got nervous and stood up as Nathan made his way over. "Ah, Mr. Cross! What a surprise!"
"I told you I would come over
personally and make you pick
another candidate for the next Holy Maiden if you didn't do it yourself You should have known that I would be coming over," Nathan replied cofely.
It was so humiliating that Eugene IV felt as though he had been slapped across the face in front of everyone. For @moment there, he didn't know what to say in response.
The members of the Curia were incredibly unhappy with Nathan's disrespectful attitude, but no one dared say a word about it after witnessing his terrifying power.
Eventually, Hepburn was the first one to step forward and defuse the situation.
"The Curia admires your strength
and has always wanted to work with you, Mr. Grass. I know you don't like us choosing your daughter as the next Holy Maiden, but it was never our intention to make you our enemy. In fact, the pope has always wanted to befriend you." This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
