Salute To The General

Chapter 2682

Chapter 2682

While Nathan and Zion were discussing the Eight-Nation Alliance, the Eight-Nation Alliance themselves were having a secret meeting in Ariarica's military base. Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

The one leading the said meeting was none other than Ariarica's Five-star General, Max himself.

The other seven representatives were Catherine, the duchess of Eagleland; Miyamoto Kuoni, a military governor from Jetroina; Carsten, a prime minister from Hallsbay; Hendrik, a commander from Ferropene;

Lochlan, the chief of staff from Frosa;

Dubravko, an admiral from Xenhall; and Tyrell Rogers, the God of War from Xyperia.

Sitting in the main chair, Max scanned each and every representative seated around the table before saying, “I thought the internal strife in Eurasia would provide us with a golden opportunity to crush them. I was planning on having them return to their state of poverty from fifty years ago before destroying them completely. But I'm afraid I have received rather disappointing news lately.”

Everyone frowned upon hearing that.

“Eurasia has resolved its internal strife rather quickly. Erwin and Will had over two hundred thousand soldiers in total at their disposal when they teamed up against Nathan, and yet, they failed to take him down. Not only did Nathan put a stop to the chaos within a short period of time, but he also killed Erwin and Will!” Max continued.

The frowns on the representatives' faces deepened even further as they began murmuring among themselves.

“Erwin and Will sure are useless! I can't believe they failed to take Nathan down!”

“I know, right? They even got killed by him!”

“I heard Nathan was prepared for them. He even had all of his units moved into Brimmopolis in advance!”

“Nathan sure is a huge problem!”

Max raised his hand and knocked firmly on the table to silence them all.

“Right now, the worst-case scenario has happened. Not only has Nathan resolved the conflict, but he also became the temporary president of Eurasia. If all goes well, he will probably remain as the president. I'm sure you are all well aware of his capabilities by now. This man is the number one enemy of the Eight-Nation Alliance. He used to be a mere Chief Military Governor, but now he's also the freaking president of the country. With him being in control of the military and the country's finance, our days are most likely coming to an end.”

Being the representative of Jetroina, a country that had always been an enemy of Eurasia, Miyamoto Kuoni exclaimed, “We mustn't let that happen!”

Tyrell, who had gotten into clashes with Nathan at the North of Eurasia, chimed in as well, “That's right!

Eurasia is terrifyingly powerful as is! If we let Nathan become the president, he'll definitely try to conquer the world! We have to take him down by force before that happens!”

The representatives from other countries, too, expressed their agreement regarding that statement.

They all believed that Nathan becoming the president would mark the beginning of their nightmares, so they had to stop him with whatever means necessary.

Max said with a smile, “I agree with all of you here. I, too, firmly believe that we need to stop Nathan from becoming the next president of Eurasia. On top of that, I have come up with an idea as well! We, the Eight-Nation Alliance, should try to convince our other allied countries to have another respectable Eurasian compete for the position of the president!”

Everyone froze upon hearing that. “Another respectable Eurasian? Who would that be?”

Max stood up and flashed them a smile. “Nelson Freeman.”

Those words had barely left his mouth when an old man stepped into view with a few men dressed in suits accompanying him.

He had a walking cane in his hand as he casually made his way over.

That old man was none other than Nelson himself.

Hailing from a prominent family, Nelson was once in the Cabinet and competed with Hansel for the position of president.

He ended up losing to Hansel due to the extremely low amount of support he received.

The relationship between them had always been tense, so Nelson losing to Hansel only worsened it even more. Although furious about his loss, he still chose to leave the country for fear of Hansel getting back at him.

Nelson had been living overseas ever since, and his name was known in every country with Eurasians present.

That quality was exactly what Max liked so much about him. Max was planning on using Nelson's influence over the Eurasians living abroad to support him in becoming the next president.

Nelson already had a huge network supporting him, so all Max needed to do was to have Ariarica's allied countries provide their support as well.

With the Eurasians living abroad and dozens of allied countries supporting him, Nelson would be able to return to Eurasia and seize the presidential position from Nathan.

That would be the most ideal outcome for Max and the other representatives at the table.
