Chapter 2609
Those at the scene were dumbfounded.
Everyone in Brimmopolis knew that Erwin was Carrey's father. Who are these outlanders? How dare they hit him? How insolent!
Even Carrey's subordinates were taken aback. They stood motionless, and no one knew how to react.
Fang gave a tight slap on Carrey's face, sending Carrey flying across the room. However, his boiling rage had yet to subdue. He pointed at Carrey, who was lying on the ground, and screamed ferociously, "Are you born into a family of imbeciles? How dare you disrespect Mr. and Mrs. Cross? Do you have a death wish?"
Family of imbeciles?
Following the statement, a commotion ensued.
Carrey's father is Mr. Erwin Holmes! These outlanders sure have the guts to call him names! They're indirectly insulting Mr. Holmes and his wife, aren't they? This is preposterous!
Those who knew Carrey couldn't help but shake their heads as they whispered among themselves, "These outlanders don't seem to realize the seriousness of the situation. Not only did they hit Carrey, but they even hurled insults at Mr. and Mrs. Holmes. Things have certainly gotten out of hand!"
Carrey struggled to get up. With half of his face swollen, bright-red blood was dripping from his mouth, and broken teeth were scattered across the floor.
He covered his injured face and stared at Nathan and the gang in utter shock. "How dare you hit me? How dare you hit me! None of you will be able to walk out of here alive!"
He furiously instructed his subordinates, "Hey, useless trash!
What are you waiting for? Teach them a lesson! Break their legs!"
"Roger!"
The man with the eyepatch and the rest snapped back to their senses.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
The man with the eyepatch ordered his men to cripple Nathan and his gang before dashing aggressively toward Nathan, Fang, and the others. Carrey's men were not weak, but unluckily, the opponents they confronted that night were far from being ordinary.
Putting aside Nathan's impeccable powers and the ferocity of Fang, Destroyer, and Heptakill, both Collin and Ava were more than sufficient to overpower Carrey's men.
The man with the eyepatch and his men pounced on Nathan and the gang.
Fang, Destroyer, Heptakill, Colin, and Ava launched their attacks at the same time.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
In a short span of time, Carrey's men were completely defeated. Each and every one of them was lying on the floor as they screamed in pain, crippled.
Right then, the crowd gasped.
At the end of the day, it didn't matter if Nathan and the others were outlanders.
Their capabilities far exceeded those of Carrey's men, which explained why the former would dare to make a scene in Carrey's territory. Carrey, who was initially arrogant, was stunned.
Fang stared at Carrey coldly. "Punk, are you still planning on breaking my
legs?"
A shiver ran down Carrey's spine as he met Fang's bone-chilling gaze.
Carrey
collected himself and
warned, "You... What do you want?
Do you even know that I'm from the
when
Holmes family? Believe me from
say I can make you disappear from Brimmopolis with a single phone call
QUMS
Nathan initially didn't want to bother himself with someone like Carrey, but Carrey's malicious threats were too atrocious for Nathan to let it slide.
Nathan was pissed off. "You're
overconfident for a weakling like
you. I'll give you a chance. Go ahead
and make your call. I would love to
make
see how you plan to make us
disappear."
Carrey flashed a crooked smile. "You all have a death wish, don't you? Don't blame me for this then."
He then took out his phone and made a call.
Evidently, Carrey still had a certain level of influence.
The phone call that he made was not to his father or his mother. Instead, he called a close friend of his father, Will Long, who happened to be the commander-in-chief of the Capital Garrison.
The Long family and the Holmes family forged strong ties over the years, and Will and Erwin were close friends.
Both families had a close relationship, and they were often engaged in inter-familial activities. Both Carrey and Will treated each other like family members.
It was a first for Carrey to be humiliated on his very own turf. In order to seek vengeance, he immediately called Will.
In less than half an hour, a fleet of Jeeps arrived at the bar, followed by a troop of heavily armed soldiers.
The entire street was barricaded.
All the customers in the bar lost their nerves. Displeased, they turned their heads toward Nathan, obviously blaming him for dragging them into the
feud.
Carrey, however, sneered with a smug look on his face. He stared at Nathan and the others with a sinister smile.
"Hmph! You're done for!"
