I looked at the man warily, laughing out in surprise.

He walked over and smiled at me. "Must we go to such lengths?"

"Have you been faking your death all along?" I looked at him and burst out laughing once again.

Steven said nothing as he stared at Andy with reddening eyes. All this while, he was only Andy's proof of allegiance to Genome Society.
