Rejected and claimed by the alpha beast Novel by Paige T

Chapter 121

A fight to the death, the deadly silence ensued with tension to the alphas stance. “We really shouldn’t be doing this right now, please!” She starts

But both alphas’ gazes were filled with nothing but bloodlust and a crippling intensity; Hayden wasn’t backing down, and neither was Rygan. Elise feels her finger scrape her skin till blood flows, and fear courses through her entire body as she stares at them.

“You both need to stop this; please, you do not need to fight.”

“I will fight for you, Elise, because you are mine, and I will kill this male who has caused you nothing but pain and who touched you.” Hayden’s mouth opened wide as his canine protruded out. His eyes were glazed red, like ruby stones, but now his white orbs were painted pure black from the poison messing with his head.

*He is infected, and you know it. I know I can’t kill him, but I have to find a way to put him down. He is a liability right now with the poison,* Rygan sends through the mental bond.

She knows he’s right about the wolfbane in Hayden’s blood; she knows this is the only way she is going to get a cure, *-he is not a fucking liability, this is not right. Don’t try to fight or hurt him, Maybe I ca-*

Hayden didn’t have an ounce of patience as he lunged at Rygan, full of wolf and claws. First, it took a millisecond for Rygan to dodge before his bones shifted, and that familiar midnight dark fur grew rapidly on his enlarging body, in stark contrast to Hayden’s gray wolf.

Their wolves begin to stalk around in circles, studying each other’s movements. With their claws retracted from their paws and the latter’s lips curled in a growl, Hayden didn’t hesitate to attack.

Rygan defended each attack that Hayden made. The Calhan male was going head-to-head with him in battle; their duel was almost like a death symphony, a warrior battle between two powerful wolves. And each blow to his opponent was like a rhythm.

Elise’s eyes widened in panic when blood spilled from Hayden’s arms; he was brutally wounded by Rygan. And now Elise couldn’t take it anymore. “Stop! Both of you, please!” She begs, but none of them listen.

They were far too immersed in the battle to see or answer her; tension rose with each pummeled of their feet in the grounds; a tree fell from the impact of their attack; and Rygan’s body met with another tree, making the large tree fall off.

The ground trembled from their battle; they were far too immersed to immediately sense that they weren’t alone anymore, and little by little, skilled humans of the gulf gained closer to them.

She sees Rygan going for the killing blow and can’t hold on any longer as he runs to their middle with her hands spread out. “Stop it right this instant!” She screams. With a huff, Rygan stood down, immediately obedient to Elise; her command was above anyone’s.

But Hayden’s eyes still bloomed with danger and bloodlust; he was still thirsty to see Rygan’s lifeless body so he could have Elise all to himself.

And Elise could still feel that killing intent in his pheromones as she turned to him, “Please, Hayden, this isn’t you; your mind is being slowly taken by the poison, and we want to help you. I’m sorry, it’s my fault; I broke you and I broke your trust, but please,” she begs Hayden.

For a moment, she saw the emotion in his gaze, like he too wanted to stop this, but that kind gaze was giving way as he let out a growl. Hayden? She muttered, but there was no response from his mind. They were both distracted by each other, with Elise still trying to calm him down, but as the dust settled, that was when Rygan picked up a scent in the air.

The air had tensed, and this time it wasn’t Hayden’s pheromones or his; something was wrong somewhere. His eyes darted into the forest grounds, from shrubs to bushes and trees, his wolf eyes shining through the darkness.

*Elise, there is something wrong.”This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

*I’m a little bit occupied here, she bites back through the mind link as she raises a steady hand, and with each careful step, she reaches forward to Hayden’s wolf, who snarls slowly.

But then even Hayden’s wolf had calmed from the silence, his eyes darting to overgrown bushes by his right. “What? What is it?” Elise muttered; her eyes also moved to the side, but it was too late as they saw a light flash, with the smell of gunpowder infiltrating their noses.

“It’s the guild!” Rygan roars as the sound of a blast goes off.

A heavy weapon had gone off and been launched directly at Luna. Rygan was the first to see the start of the attack directed at Elise; he shot in front of her, pushing her aside as a large silver net clamped down on his huge build, throwing him down.

Her eyes widened in panic. “Rygan!” She shouts as she races to him. Hayden’s eyes immediately fill again with that unadulterated thirst for blood as he faces the humans, his gaze dark and menacing as his claws spear out with a snarl before he begins to attack the guild.

The humans came heavily prepared, as there were over fifty humans with guns blazing silver bullets directed at the trip that he swiftly dodged.

Elise ran to the silver net placed on Rygan. She touched the hot and heavy net that burned her palms, making her back in shock, but then she immediately noticed this was pure silver.

She dug for the dagger in her clothes, ripping the silver threads from the net. As she felt and met the brunt on her skin, she did stop, but when his wolf was in agonizing pain, she continued loosening the knots.

“Don’t worry, I got you,” she cries out, aiming for one last pull to untangle his leg. “There she is!” One of the males called, his tone familiar, as he liked to see it, was the dumb j**k human from the motel.

She lets out a snarl for none of them to get close-a snarl a wolf gives as a blaring warning to stay away from her mate. “You should have killed me when you had the chance, baby girl,” the man chuckled as he aimed the gun at her, its silver piercing through her shoulder.

Elise grits her teeth to stop a scream from coming out, but she doesn’t let go of the silver net, pushing it farther off. Her cries made Hayden turn back, his eyes glazed with anger that they had touched Elise and were about to be sorry.

“Good night, princess,” the human muttered, aiming the gun at her head, but his hands were immediately ripped up by sharp claws, making the human cry in horror, which was short-lived as his head was bitten off.

Hayden was like a madman in the fields, but his claws sort the male to hurt Elise.

“Argh!” Elise screamed with a struggle, and with one last push to the burning net, it was off Rygan. He stood up with most of his fur burned down to the skin from the silver, but she ignored the pain as his adrenaline kicked in. He peered at Elise, who cried out in relief.

He looked down to see her hands, his head resting on her tiny human one, and said his tongue licked at her wounded palm, causing an easing sensation. “It’s ok,” she assured. And with that command alone, let the wild beast of the black mountain come alive.

This time they had the forest on their side, and both males were trained to use their surroundings to their advantage. Rygan was like a monster, spilling the blood of humans, and with inhuman speed, he killed them.

Elise opts for her blade since her arms are still healing slowly, and a silver bullet is driven into her shoulder. Shifting wouldn’t be much help since her paw would be wounded.

She used her quick speed instead, racing through the group of over a hundred men that had gathered; they were calling reinforcements every minute that passed. “Mommy!” She hears the flailing voice of her son, which makes her stiffen.

“Mommy, please help me!” She hears his cries, this time from one of their combat vehicles. Panic rises in her as a mother’s instincts to protect her pup. I hear Ethan’s voice. She mutters to them.

*Elise, wait, it’s a trap!” Rygan muttered as she raced towards her. There was a mine, and the moment she stepped on it, Rygan leaped in the air, pushing her off it as a blast rang through.

She felt a warm trickle of blood on her forehead as they rolled down the small hill, and Elise’s eyes widened when she saw Rygan’s body, his back now littered with burns. He grunts in pain as his back burns. “Rygan!” She screamed, and immediately she pressed her palm to his back, quickly making use of her healing powers that mended his wounds.

Her eyes

filled with tears as she muttered, “I’m sorry, this is my fault; how could I have been so s**d?” She called, caressing his face and pulling his body up to rest on the bark of the tree. She was very concerned about healing Rygan, and she was blinded by the battle.

But it was obvious that they were outnumbered, as a hidden hem pointed his gun at them and took a clear headshot at her, And just as the trigger pulled. *Angel No!” She hears Hayden’s voice, and a gunshot rings out. This time, her body freezes in shock.

She didn’t feel a bullet, but even pain. But with a piercing groan from behind her and another round of bullets, she turned slowly in horror to see that Hayden had used his whole body as a shield. He was barely standing as dark gray blood began bleeding out.

“No, no! Hayden!” She screamed as Hayden’s body slammed to the ground. She crawled to the blood-dirt-mixed ground; her blood heated, and her body trembled with shock. To see Hayden’s bleeding body.

Hayden was shot, and at the point of death, no matter how much healing aura she pumped into his body, she could only watch as blood sputtered from his lips.

Not when there was a large silver bullet that pierced his heart. There was a heart-wrenching cry that took over Elise’s body as she held closer to Hayden, and a fear of the unknown

A fear that this time, he wasn’t going to make it.
