Reborn Through Fire By Kazuya Higan Chapter 50

Chapter 50

Chapter 50 Better Safe Than Sorry Kisa's body was already sore, and the way he threw it on the floor hurt her even more.

She grimaced.

Gilbert glanced at her and said, "Go and take a shower.

You stink of smoke and alcohol." It annoyed him that she still smelled of Anthony’s perfume.

Kisa was bemused at the sound of it.

"I haven't been in the room as long as you have, have I?” Gilbert sat languidly on the couch and looked at her with frosty eyes.

"Two choices: either go take a shower or get the hell out of here.” She took a deep breath.

‘Fine.

I will leave.

It is not like I want to see him.' Kisa struggled to get up and out the door but hesitated at the sight of the long, dark hallway.

She figured that if she went out there alone, Anthony would catch her soon enough.

His only reason for catching her was to provoke Gilbert, who did not care if she lived or died, and she would probably lose her life.

‘Forget about it.

What is the point of getting angry with Gilbert? Better safe than sorry.

He has always been so mean to me anyway, so I could just get used to it.' It made her feel better to think that way.

She pursed her lips and turned around to go back to the room.

When she did, Gilbert chuckled and puffed out rings of cigarette smoke with his handsome face full of sarcasm.

Kisa tried to ignore him and silently made her way to the bathroom.

She rinsed hot water over her body to relieve the pain.

After doing that for a long while, she then went to the mirror to check the injury on her waist.

She saw that a large patch of her slender waist had turned purple, and it hurt when she pressed it gently.

She let out a sigh, pitying herself for being an innocent victim and wondering how long the bruise would take to heal. Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

Just then, the door to the bathroom was abruptly opened from the outside.

She shrieked in shock and quickly covered herself, then glared at the doorway in shame and anger.

"What are you doing?" Gilbert put down the clothes in his hand and said nonchalantly, “I called out to you, but you didn’t hear me." "G-Get out." Gilbert glanced at the bruise on her waist with grim eyes and then backed away.

Kisa scrambled to lock the door and then turned to look at the clothes on the rack.

They were all new, and the tags had not even been removed yet.

She could not help but smirk, sneering in her mind at how much this man disdained the smell of alcohol and tobacco on her body that he had to change out of her clothes.

Worried about him bursting in again, she hurriedly put the clothes on.

But just as she was spreading her blouse, something suddenly rolled out of it.

Puzzled, she picked it up and found it was a bottle of ointment for bruises and injuries.

'Huh, this is the ointment he has bought for me? Would he be so kind?’ Without thinking too much about it, she put some ointment on the bruise on her waist while she was getting dressed.

When she came out of the bathroom, Gilbert had changed into his robe, and his hair was in a semi- dried mess.

He sat silently by the window, the side of his face looking a little grim, and his aura was intimidating.

Kisa wondered if something had happened and made him look so grave.

But she did not dare to say or ask anything, just sat down on the couch in silence.

The atmosphere in the room was dreary and depressing.

Just as she thought of swapping rooms with Davian, there was a knock on the door.

She thought it was Davian and rushed to open the door.

"Hold on." A low bark startled her to a stiff halt.

She looked at Gilbert in bafflement and saw him approaching with a tense expression.

He glanced through the peephole and then said to her in a low voice, “Stay in your room.” Kisa did not dare ask any more questions when she saw his stony face, so she obediently went into the room.

Gilbert then pulled the door open as he saw Kisa had closed the door behind her.
