Reborn As The 60
Brock was the first to stand up when he heard the noise, dragging a baseball bat behind him, looking like he was ready to bash someone's head in at any moment. "Who's there!" he barked.
As soon as he turned around, his furious eyes locked onto a pair of clear, stunningly beautiful ones. In the next second, he froze in place.
Eleanor noticed Brock staring at her with an intense gaze and assumed he was surprised by her sudden appearance. She stepped forward, taking the initiative to speak. "Hi. You guys are waiting for Felix, right?"
Brock saw that the girl standing in front of him had a strikingly beautiful face. Her delicate brows were slightly raised, her eyes shimmering with a soft, captivating glow. Her skin was smooth and delicate, and the hair brushing against her cheeks fluttered in the breeze, adding a touch of charm to her already graceful presence.
Even though the girl was wearing a simple school uniform, it couldn't hide her cool and serene presence, as distant and luminous as the moon. Beautiful. Too beautiful. It was breathtaking.
So much so that when the girl stepped forward and looked him straight in the eyes, speaking to him, Brock couldn't stop his face from turning red. It took him a moment to realize what she had asked, and when he finally snapped out of it, he stammered, blushing, "Uh... Yeah."
Eleanor didn't understand why Brock, who had just been so aggressive, suddenly became all shy and awkward. She continued, "Felix's got something going on today, so he probably won't make it. You don't need to wait for him."
Even though she had overheard the group shouting something like "If he doesn't show, he's a coward", it was still better to be called that than to take a beating, right? But she had a feeling this excuse wouldn't fly with them.
Sure enough, as soon as Eleanor finished speaking, one of Brock's buddies standing behind him, holding a baton, glared at her and pointed angrily. "Who the hell are you? What gives you the right to say that? Did he chicken out and not dare to come? Tell that punk if he doesn't show today, we'll find him in Class A and beat him senseless!"
Eleanor frowned. She really hated hearing the word "beat" or anything close to it. A flicker of coldness flashed in her eyes, quickly hidden by her long lashes. Her voice was calm but icy. "I'm Felix's sister, Eleanor-the one you're looking for. If you're really itching for a fight, I wouldn't mind sparring with you instead."
At that moment, the bracelet on her left wrist shifted slightly, but in her fury, she didn't notice.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
The younger man immediately perked up after hearing Eleanor's name. "So, you're that ugly chick, Eleanor? Wow. I've been looking everywhere for you, and now you've just walked right into my trap. Since you're handing yourself over, don't blame me if I-Ow, who hit me?" Brock swung his fist hard, landing a punch square on the guy's head just as he was in full swing. The younger man looked around, confused. "Boss? Why did you hit me?" Brock glared at him. "Shut up!"
"But, Boss..." The younger man rubbed his forehead, looking utterly aggrieved. He wondered why his boss was mad at him when he was just trying to help. But, seeing the fury in Brock's eyes, he swallowed his complaints, knowing his life could be at stake.
What happened next completely shattered the younger man's understanding of the world. He watched Brock, who was usually fierce and put no one in his eyes, awkwardly shuffle toward Eleanor, blushing like a schoolboy with his hands nervously rubbing together. In a stammer, Brock asked, "Eleanor...could I... Uh... Could I get your...number?"
Eleanor, caught off guard, looked at him cautiously. "What are you getting at?" she asked. She couldn't figure out why he would suddenly ask for her contact information. She wondered if he had some odd intention, like setting up a fight later.

Realizing she had misunderstood him, Brock quickly explained, "Eleanor, I swear, I don't mean any harm. I just... I just genuinely want to be friends. But if you're not comfortable with that, it's totally fine. You don't have to give it to me." Eleanor raised an eyebrow. Hearing that, she finally caught on to what was going on.
A second ago, her mind had been completely focused on a potential fight, and she hadn't even considered other possibilities. But now, seeing Brock's flustered, red face, even an idiot would've figured it out. And she had lived two lives-there was no way she could've missed this.
She looked at him calmly, her words piercing. "I stole your sisters role, and you're not mad about that?"
Brock froze for a second, then quickly waved his hand. "You didn't steal it. The director chose you. It's not your fault that my sister wasn't good enough. I actually want to apologize for the trouble she caused you." As he spoke, his large frame respectfully nodded. Then, he looked up at her, his eyes sincere. "I'll make sure my sister deletes everything once I get home. Don't worry. She won't bother you again."
Eleanor was left speechless, wondering if kids these days were really this unpredictable.
She said, "Thanks for your kindness, but it's not necessary. The Twitter trending topic will die down in a few days, and as for my contact information, I'm sorry, but I don't chat with strangers."
As soon as Eleanor finished speaking, Brock's face fell in disappointment. He wondered, 'Did I just get rejected? But it makes sense. After all, I badmouthed her and even threatened to beat up her brother. No one would be willing to give their contact info after that. 'But this is the first time I've ever felt like I was in love. Is it really going
to be crushed before it even starts? That's so unfair
Eleanor, unaware of what Brock was thinking, noticed his silence and asked, "Do you have anything else to say? If not, I need to get back to studying."
Seeing her about to leave, Brock quickly stopped her. "Wait. There's one more thing... Uh... It's my birthday in a couple of days. Would you come to my birthday party?"
Eleanor frowned. "Me? Go to your birthday party?" She found it strange. After all, they weren't exactly close enough for her to be going to something like that.
Fearing rejection, Brock hurriedly explained, "Don't worry. I swear I won't do anything. I really just want to invite you. Once
you say?" you're there, we can call it even-no hard feelings. What do
After all, he was just a young boy. His eyes were filled with anticipation as he stared at Eleanor, terrified she'd turn him down. His nervousness showed-he was fidgeting with the hem of his jersey, the fabric all wrinkled from his tight grip. Eleanor sighed softly, feeling a bit guilty, "Alright. You can give me the address for your party. I'll show up on time, but you know how busy senior year is. I might have to leave soon after arriving."
The moment she agreed, Brock's eyes lit up, practically glowing with excitement. He barely managed to keep his composure, though his joy made him spin in a little circle right where he stood.
"Great! I'll give you the address and time in a couple of days. You better not forget to come," he said, his voice full of enthusiasm. Eleanor then nodded in response.
Once she had walked away, one of Brock's underlings came over confused. "Boss, didn't your birthday already pass? And that girl just now, she..."
Brock, who had been lost in his own pleasant daydreams, was abruptly brought back to reality by his underling's words.
