Yasmine took a deep breath, trying to shake off her nerves before stepping out. Just as she reached the door, she nearly collided with Yoselin, who was storming down the hallway. "Yasmine!" Yoselin exclaimed, fire in her eyes. "Did you see the forum? It's definitely that Helen causing trouble again! She's the only one who would do this to you." Yasmine smiled gently at Yoselin's fiery spirit. She reached out and gave her a comforting pat on the back. "Relax, Yoselin. Just get to your class. I have it under control." Yoselin hesitated, still looking worried, but seeing Yasmine's confidence, she finally relented. "Alright, but promise me you'll call me if anything bad happens." Yasmine waved her hand, reassuring Yoselin. "Go on. I'll be fine."
As Yoselin walked away, she looked back three times, clearly still uneasy.
Yasmine sighed, feeling a bit helpless. Though Yonas had asked her to help Yoselin with her psychological issues, their friendship had become healing for both of them.
The president's office wasn't too far from the Psychology Department. In just five minutes, Yasmine arrived and knocked lightly on the door. "Come in," the president's deep voice called out.
Pushing the door open, Yasmine stepped inside to find a group of leaders gathered around a table. Among them was Winston, her mentor, and Selena, who was seated next to the president. When Selena spotted Yasmine, she snorted and rolled her eyes like she had just seen something disgusting.
Yasmine felt her heart race a bit but kept her expression neutral as she walked further into the room.
This meeting wasn't just a routine one; with Selena here, it felt more like a trap. The table had plenty of empty chairs, but none were available for Yasmine. She was left standing awkwardly.
The president nodded at Selena before focusing on Yasmine, "Yasmine, I'm sure you know why you're here. Mrs. Flynn wants some answers from you."
