Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 56

Though inwardly surprised, Jasper remained composed. He shifted his attention back to Charles after he spoke and walked over.

He glanced at Naomi and instinctively wanted to greet her. However, as the words were about to leave his lips, he held back.

He used to call Naomi ‘Mrs. Lawson‘, but since Naomi and Scott had divorced, addressing her as such seemed inappropriate. After a moment of contemplation, he simply said, “Naomi.‘

Naomi nodded and said, “Thank you for your help.”

“No problem. Let me take a look at your hand,” Jasper said.

“Sure.”

Naomi did not say or think too much. Many problems arose from overthinking. She did not want to dwell on things too deeply, so she would deal with them as they came.

Naomi showed her hand to Jasper. He did not unwrap the bandage but examined the surface and asked her some questions. He then said, “Let’s go upstairs. I’ll take off the bandage to have a closer look,”

“Okay.

Soon, everyone went upstairs.

“It looks to be alright, nothing serious going on. There won’t be any scarring,” Jasper commented after carefully examining Naomi’s hand.

In the office, Jasper gave Naomi a thorough inspection before reassuring everyone of her condition. Donna’s face instantly lit up with a smile. “That’s great! Thank you,

doctor.”

The elderly couple had yet to recognize Jasper. On the contrary, Jasper looked at them and recognized them at a glance.

He smiled and said, “No need to thank me. I’ll make sure Naomi recovers without any scars. Please rest assured, Mr. and Mrs. Goodwin.”

“Your words put us at ease. We’re really grateful,” they replied.

Charles knew about Jasper’s medical skills. He was a young expert, and rather impressive at that. When Jasper assured that Naomi’s hand would be fine, a smile appeared on his face. Due to Naomi’s

previous fever, she had to stay in the hospital for two more days for observation before being

discharged to ensure there were no issues.

Everyone agreed, and Naomi merely followed the consensus.

Naomi was admitted and placed in a separate ward.

At this time, Amelia also arrived at the ward. Everyone knew she and Naomi had things to discuss, so they all lett

Charles told Dean and Donna that he would buy food and make a trip to the hotel to set things up. He dready booked the hotel early in the morning. All that was left was the check in. Donna and

Dean insisted on accompanying him since he had been running around so much. They felt guilty.

With Amelia in the hospital, they felt reassured.

Charles knew the older couple deliberately cleared space for Amelia and Naomi. He made no

somments on the matter and led the elderly couple out of the hospital to the hotel.

As the footsteps outside faded away, Naomi felt a sense of relief.

She looked at Amelia and was about to speak, but Amelia interrupted her.

“Don’t worry, I didn’t do anything to Scott. I just warned him to stay away from you.

Amelia pulled a chair directly to the bedside, addressing the questions Naomi wanted to ask.

Naomi’s face broke into a smile. “In that case, I can rest easy.

Amelia was straightforward and fiery, sometimes too blunt for her own good. If it were not for Charles speaking up outside the hospital, she might not have felt at ease entering the hospital. However, upon hearing Amelia’s words, Naomi genuinely felt relieved.

Observing Naomi’s demeanor, Amelia crossed her legs and folded her arms. With a stern expression, she looked like she was ready to interrogate Naomi.

“Speak. Tell me everything you’ve been hiding from me, or else… I can’t guarantee what I might do.” Naomi knew she could no longer hide anything. She could not keep up the pretense any longer. “Okay.
