Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 211

Chapter 211

Oliva paused for a while, but her eyes lit up. She immediately wanted to get up.

She was already fine from being drugged the night before, but she was still injured. She needed to stay in the hospital for two days but would be discharged the following day should the doctor allow it.

She felt great. Her movements were not inhibited as well. Hearing the knock on the door only invigorated her.

Was Scott here?

He never came the whole day. She was at first hopeful, then disappointed, and she finally came to terms with it. She knew he was mad.

She understood that he was pissed off after the incident the night before, which made him not want to visit.

Although he did not come, she was happy. If he did not care about her, he would not be angry at her. It was because he cared, which was why he acted this way. All she needed to know was that he cared for her. This was enough.

At that moment, when she heard the calm knock on the door, she was instantly even more delighted.

It had to be Scott; it had to be. He must have been worried, which was why he came!

Olivia quickly got out of bed but quickly stopped. Why was she so quickly getting out of bed? She had to be in bed. She had to let him worry. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

Thus, Olivia slowly sat back.

The caretaker wanted to open the door when she heard the door knock, but when she heard Olivia moving, she went over there, wanting to help Olivia up.

She never expected that Olivia would suddenly sit right back. She did not know what Olivia was trying to do.

The caretaker was a little stunned. "What's wrong, Ms. Carver?"

Olivia tucked herself in bed, leaned back on the head of the bed, and looked at the door. The door was silent after the two knocks.

She said softly, "Go open the door."

Despite being confused by Olivia's behavior, she assumed she had her reason. It would be pointless to ask her about it. She just needed to do as she was told.

The caretaker nodded. "Okay."

She went to open the door.

Olivia looked away and picked her phone up, pretending to continue to work as if she did not know someone was there.

"You are…?" the caretaker asked in confusion when she opened the door.

Hearing the caretaker's confusion, Olivia turned to look.

She stiffened the moment she saw who it was. The twinkle in her eye vanished, and her heart sank.

A man in dark-colored clothes was standing outside the door. He had his hair combed back. He was not as tall as Scott, but he was not short either, roughly about 1.8 meters.

He had a clean face and gentle facial expressions, unlike Scott's sharp and angular features which often intimidate others.

He was quite handsome compared to any ordinary man, but still no match for Scott.

Scott dazzled. Scott was one in a billion. Scott was irreplaceable.

As the door opened, he entered and looked at Olivia on the bed. His gaze was gentle, and his feelings for her were clear as day.

"Olivia."

Olivia clutched her phone tighter. She looked at the man standing by the door. She felt as if a bucket of cold water had doused all her passion.

However, she still smiled and said, "Connor."

The next day, the entire city of Herland was drenched in rain and covered in fog.

Naomi got up early as usual. By then, Scott had just returned from his morning run.

He carried her to the bathroom to wash up. He no longer gave her a strange look like the night before; he looked like his stoic self.

It seemed that he would only do that when he was drunk. Once he sobered up, his strange gaze was totally gone.

Naomi was relieved and decided to put everything past her.

After Naomi finished washing up, Scott went in to wash up too.

Right at that moment, his phone rang.
